Sóstógyógyfürdő which is 5 km from the city center of Nyíregyháza. Far

from the noise of the city, surrounded by green forests, in the middle of the

Sóstó Park Forest, near the Sóstó lake the hotel offers great

accommodation for those who would like to rest in quiet.

The hotel was named after the Aventine Hill, one of the seven hills on which

ancient Rome was built. It belongs to Ripa, the twelfth rione, or ward, of

Rome.

Hotel Aventinus was renovated in 2013.The rooms of the hotel were

furnished and equipped in art – deco style. Beige colours, elegance and

high standard are characteristic for the whole hotel.

Hotel Aventinus is located in Sóstógyógyfürdő which is 5 km from the city

center of Nyíregyháza. Far from the noise of the city, surrounded by green

forests, in the middle of the Sóstó Park Forest, near the Sóstó lake we offer

great accommodation for those who would like to rest in quiet. A long walk

around the lake or in the woods will refill your energies. Those who like

active holidays can visit Aquarius Thermal or can swim in the lake.

Families are welcome in the adventure park, and invited to the Museum

Village as well. Here is one of the largest Zoos of the country which is a

great sensation around Europe; there are several interesting pieces to find.

There are programs for children, for example Futurobi, an interactive

multimedia play house. There are great bicycle routes to explore

Sóstógyógyfürdő which is often called the pearl of Nyíregyháza. The hotel

offers bicycles to its guests for a discounted price. There are also open air

plays at the Sóstó Outdoor Theatre, which is great for those who like to

spend quality time.

Those who are ready to go further have great

opportunities. A very popular program is visiting Tokaj

wine region with the villages like Tokaj, Tarcal, and

the vineyards of Hegyalja. It is also available to

participate in “Faith and Wellnes” Program by

visiting Máriapócs’s famous church and after that

healing at Dragon Thermal Spa in Nyírbátor. There

are several opportunities to take a trip around Upper

Tisza Region, visiting the Nature itself. The untouched

Bereg region and the villages among Túr river offer

you a unique sight that you will never forget.

Sóstógyógyfürdő is easily accessible on road by car but the bus and railway

stations are also easy to reach by taking the bus 8 which stops near the

hotel. Our hotel has it’s own parking lot which is free to our guests.

Aventinus has 29 rooms. 25 double rooms with shower, of which there are 7

pairs of family rooms that can be opened together. There are 3 suits and one

room built for people with disabilities.

Family rooms are two double rooms connected with a door. Two of our suits

have balconies, and the suits have bathtubs. All rooms are air conditioned, have

minibars, sat TVs, phones. There is free wireless internet access in all rooms.

The hotel offers baby bed, baby bathtub, high chair and food heating for families

travelling with babies or little children.

The hotel has a conference room that is ideal for 25-30 people. All required

appliances are available in the conference room (projector, screen, flip-chart,

etc.)

9. What kind of energy-saving measures are introduced in the hotel?

Overheating bedrooms and corridor areas are avoided. This is not only expensive; it can also be uncomfortable for guests.

Good control of the heating system is ensured. The boiler is regularly

serviced. Pipework feeding bedrooms and common areas are well

insulated.

Hot water is not overheated. A temperature of 60°C is ideal: it

provides comfortable hot water.

Fitting spray water taps are installed, as they use less hot water and

energy

Leaking taps are repaired promptly.

The simultaneous operating of heating and cooling systems is

avoided.

Occupancy and daylight sensors are installed so that lights are only

on when required.

Low-energy lighting is used.

Defrost fridges are defrosted regularly.

When replacing or buying new, look for energy efficient units such as

those that are A rated are looked for.. If possible, A++ units are

bought, as they have the lowest electrical running costs
