BeschrijvingBeschrijving

• Kennisontwikkeling– Richtlijn Stichting KennisOntwikkeling (SKO):
“Lectoraten moeten systematische kennisontwikkeling middels eigenlangjarige onderzoeksprogramma’s tot hun centrale doelstelling maken.”
‘Lectoraten, kweekvijvers van innovatie’, rapport Evaluatiecommissie Lectoraten, sept. 2008

• Onderwijsvernieuwing• Interesting developments in some East Asian countries:
“Separating higher educational institutes in 3 years associate degree colleges versus 4 to 6 year bachelor-master degree institutes and universities. Examples: Vietnam: community colleges vs universities, Indonesia: diploma institutes vs degree institutes and universities).
It seems wise to relate these developments to the ongoing post-Bologna developments in Europe and especially to the - in my opinion - out of date traditional two kinds of higher educational institutes in The Netherlands.”
ICT-education mismatches, Guido Bakema, internationale IPROF’09 conferentie, Arnhem, 2009

SomeSome impressionsimpressions 22
PrinciplesPrinciples– Basic principles for our way of thinking and working
• Architectural simplicity (“As simple as possible, but not simpler than that” 1)• Metadata as the key concept
– All metadata properly stored in repositories and nothing exists outside that (“Wovon man nicht sprechen kann, darüber muss man schweigen” 2)
– Fully metadata driven generation (“No code at all, except some SQL”) – Show fast, develop stable (“Even one sin now will cause high costs later on!”)
• Paperless Project Policy (“All documentation can be (re)generated on demand”)
– Founding principles for information systems modeling 3
– Well defined way of modeling and working– Modeling principles identical at meta level and meta-meta level– 100% conceptuality– Heuristic soundness– Theoretical elegance– No symmetry breaking– Single point of definition– Communication orientation– Validatability– Elementarity

• About 40% of ICT efforts worldwide are closely related to ISD in the data intensive domain
– Number of ICT workers and money involved– In the Netherlands probably even more, because successful
Dutch multinational system houses
• Universities do not realize this enough– Strong over-emphasis on qualitative complex or popular subjects
above quantitative complexity
How many AI experts do you need tomorrow? How many multi-media experts do you need tomorrow? How many ISD professionals do you need already today?
• Hidden demand for ISD experts (demand/supply mismatch!)
– Holland needs 10000 ISD professionals today!– Comparable situation your country?

ErvaringenErvaringen
– Cursussen, gastcolleges seminars, • In buitenland cursussen verzorgen tegen commerciële tarieven is aantal keren

International Master ProgramMaster of Information Systems Development
• 1 Nederlander (61 jaar!)• 1 Albanees• 1 Vietnamees• 1 Japanse• 2 Indonesiers• 4 Chineses
Merk op: 5 mannen, 5 vrouwen!
– Inmiddels meer dan 300 afgestudeerden
– Dit cursusjaar (2009-2010) hebben we 27 studenten in deze master-opleiding:
• 1 Nederlander, 26 buitenlanders
http://www.han.nl/opleidingen/master/information-systems-development/

BuitenlandseBuitenlandse studentenstudenten in in NederlandseNederlandse HogerHoger OnderwijsOnderwijs

USAUSA
Amerikaanse bedrijf Sandia National Laboratories

IT'ers, ingenieurs, juristen, accountants, artsen, managers) snel stijgende lonen en groot banenverloop
I come to take diploma”

Informatica-les in Shkodra University
Erg leergierig!
