A Berwin Ruhagyár ma már Magyarország legnagyobb férfi felsőruházati termékeket gyártó vállalata, amely a budapesti szabászati és adminisztratív központ mellett Vásárosnaményben saját gyárral rendelkezik. A Berwin Ltd. férfi felsőruházatot, zakót, nadrágot és mellényt értékesít.

Az itt gyártott termékek egyik csoportjával, a Bäumler termékekkel Európa szinte valamennyi országában találkozhatunk, de a jól ismert öltönyök, zakók eljutnak Kanadába, a Közel-Kelet országaiba, Oroszországba, sőt Afrikába is.

Mind a Ruhagyár Zrt., mind pedig az angol anyavállalat, a Berwin Ltd. elköte-lezte magát a magas minőségű férfi felsőruházati termékek gyártása mellett. Today the Berwin Ruhagyár is Hungary’s largest company producing men’s clothing products, which, apart from the tailoring and administrative centre in Budapest, has it own factory in Vásárosnamény. The sphere of activity of Berwin Ltd. is the sale of men’s outerwear: jackets, trousers and waistcoats.

One group of products manufactured here, Bäumler products can be found in almost every country in Europe, but the well-known suit and jackets even get as far as Canada, the Middle East countries, Russia and even Africa.

A Berwin Ruhagyár Zrt. az angliai székhelyű Berwin cégcsoport egyetlen európai termelő vállalata. A Ruhagyár a brit tulajdonos irányításával 5 év lefor-gása alatt, korábbi történetében ismeretlen mértékű fejlődésen ment keresztül.

Termékei szinte kizárólag külföldön kerülnek értékesítésre.

Az elmúlt évben a vállalat több, mint 155 ezer öltönyegyenértéknek meg- felelő mennyiségű felnőtt felsőruházatot gyártott, ami kimagaslónak tekinthető hazai – és európai – összehasonlításban is.

2015-ben a Ruhagyár árbevétele 4,355 milliárd forint volt. A vállalat foglalkoz-tatotti létszáma 625 főre emelkedett.

Berwin Ruhagyár Zrt. is the only European production company in the British-based Berwin company group. Under the management of the British owner, Berwin Ruhagyár Zrt. has undergone such a degree of development in the space of just 5 years that was unprecedented in its previous history.

Its products are almost exclusively sold abroad.

Over the past year the company manufactured adult outerwear equivalent to more than 155 thousand suits, which is outstanding both on the domestic and European level also.

In 2015 Berwin Ruhagyár’s sales revenue reached HUF 4.355 billion, and the company’s staff level rose to 625.

A Vörös Októbertől a Berwinig

Vállalatunk elődje, a Vörös Október Ruhagyár 1948-ban alakult. Privatizáci-ójára ’93-ban került sor, amikor a fejlett nyugat-európai ruhaipari vállalatok piacán meghatározó szerepet betöltő brit ELIT Holdings Ltd. olcsó gyártókapa-citásokat és befektetési lehetőségeket keresett Kelet-Közép-Európában.

A korábbi – főleg szovjet exportra és belföldi értékesítésre irányuló – nagy volumenű, homogén termékszerkezetű, közepes minőségű termelést át kellett alakítani egy differenciált, a kényes nyugat-európai igényeket is kielégítő, ma-gas színvonalú, a változó divatot követő termeléssé. Így vált a magyar vállalat versenyképessé termékei által a nyugat-európai piacon is.

Az anyavállalaton belüli folyamatok kihatással voltak a magyar gyár tevékeny-ségére és üzletére is. A változtatási kényszer kihatott a Ruhagyár működésére is. A cég tulajdonosai ezért együttműködést ajánlottak fel a brit piaci verseny-társnak, a Berwin Ltd.-nek.

2000 novemberében a Berwin Ltd. átvette az operatív irányítást a Ruhagyár felett, a magyar vállalat Berwin Ruhagyár Rt.-re, majd Zrt.-re módosította nevét.

From Vörös Október to Berwin

The predecessor of our company, Vörös Október Ruhagyár was established in 1948. It was privatised in 1993, when the British ELIT Holdings Ltd, an impor-tant player among developed western European clothing industry companies, was searching for cheap manufacturing capacity and investment opportunities in Central Eastern Europe.

Its previous large volume, average quality manufacture of homogenous pro-ducts mainly for export to the Soviet Union and domestic sales had to be trans-formed into differentiated, high quality production that satisfies refined western European demands and that follows the changes in fashion. In this way the Hungarian company became competitive with its products on the western European market too.

The processes taking place within the parent company also had an effect on the activities and business of the Hungarian factory. The need to change also influenced the factory’s operations. Therefore, the company’s owners offered the possibility of cooperation to a British market competitor, Berwin Ltd.

In November 2000 Berwin Ltd. took over operative control of the factory and the Hungarian company changed its name to Berwin Ruhagyár Rt. then Zrt.
