Family moving

The ever-decreasing number of large families in some countries like Britain and America is related to an increase in the migration of population. In the past decades, people in Britain have moved from Scotland and the north of England to the Southeast, Southwest, East and Central England.

Family moving

Now things are changing, more and more people are moving to live in the suburbs of big cities. Big cities are becoming more crowded and polluted, with a higher rate of crime, less friendly neighborhoods and insufficient public recreational facilities. Meanwhile, in the countryside or small towns with a slower pace of life, people can enjoy a more harmonious and comfortable life, and have easy access to the facilities available in big cities.

An episode about “saying goodbye”

It happened on the morning of a summer day in November, 2002 in Bondi, a small and beautiful town in Sydney, Australia. I was on a two-day visit to Dr. Vale Horniman, who used to teach me English LITERATURE IN Central China Normal University in Wuhan. Having just been to the town church, we were walking in the quiet street when we met across a lady in her eighties, an old acquaintance of Miss Horniman.

Page 6: Never Say Goodbye 第一教研室. Family moving The ever-decreasing number of large families in some countries like Britain and America is related to an increase

After the conventional introduction and mutual greetings, I politely said “see you” as we were leaving her. “No, no, no!” said Miss Horniman instantaneously, “You won’t see her! Say goodbye!” was it a humor? Or a philosophical truth? Anyway, that was the first time I began to reflect on the actual meaning of saying “Goodbye!”

Never say goodbye Hayley Westenra

If I could take this moment foreverTurn the pages of my mindTo another place and timeWe would never say goodbye

If I could find the words I would speak themThen I wouldn't be tongue-tiedWhen I looked into your eyesWe would never say goodbye

Page 14: Never Say Goodbye 第一教研室. Family moving The ever-decreasing number of large families in some countries like Britain and America is related to an increase

If I could stop the moon ever risingDay would not become the nightAnd we'd never say goodbyeI wish that our dreams were frozenThen our hearts would not be brokenWhen we let each other go...

If I could steal this moment foreverPaint a picture-perfect smileSo our story stayed aliveWe would never say goodbye
