The other side thinks they’re wrong and it’s wrong: to replace the American dream of a job, home, and family with food stamps, welfare, Obama- phones, and government dependency; for an anatomically correct man to be in the girls’ bathroom and for the government to enforce his right to be there; to give more weight to a Muslims refugee’s right to practice his religion than to an American citizen’s right to protect his family or live his Christianity; to tear down the inherited culture with open borders and the celebration of every group conceivable except white males and Christians; to suggest any moral equivalence between police officers and street mobs who ravage cities, loot, and attack first responders. America will survive another four years of Obama, aka President Hillary Clinton. But, to paraphrase the other President Clinton, it really depends on what “survive” is. Even with a nearly permanent left-wing Supreme Court and left-wing judges controlling lower courts; the further erosion of federalism; an exponential growth in the power of the federal government; further leftist control of education; and the de-Americanizing of America in part by effectively eliminating its borders, substituting multiculturalism for American identity, and by giving millions of illegals citizenship, America will still survive. There will be a country called the United States of America, but not as it was founded. Therefore, those who believe in liberty and desire a government that represents and respects them and must do everything to convince their circle of the importance of freedom and to vote REPUBLICAN. PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

All Of A Sudden – POOF! No USA

Why November 8 Matters Many Americans don’t seem to know, care, or understand the significance of that date. Life goes on. Shopping centers stay open, paychecks get cashed, and reality TV shows continue to fill the channels. Until many Americans wake up and take their liberties seriously, convenience will continue to triumph over freedom and utilitarianism over principle.

.

This Labor Day, there were 94,391,000 Americans out of the labor force, 83,000 fewer coal jobs and 400 fewer coal mines than when Barack Obama was elected in 2008. 43.5 million Americans (1 in 7) received food stamps, more than the entire populations of many large nations. Eight out of ten people caught entering the country illegally were not deported. The U.S. accepted more than 2,300 Syrian refugees, putting the government on track to surpass its goal of 10,000 by the end of September, raising questions about screening potential terrorists. It oversaw the growth of ISIS, the disintegration of the Middle East and global attacks, yet refused to associate terrorism with radical Islamism. It snubbed our allies. It took the violations, taunting and provocations of Iran after making a deal giving them a pathway to nuclear weapons, hundreds of millions of dollars to fund terrorist programs, and paying ransom for hostages. The U.S. government continued to acquiesce to the dominance of corrupt, state-corporatist China and “reset” Russia over Asian and European allies, while dramatically reducing troop levels, dangerously disinvesting in our military, and making it a petri dish for social experimentation. It reduced nuclear stockpiles to 1950 levels. The U.S is now on track to have the smallest Army since World War II, smallest Navy since World War I, and the smallest and oldest Air Force ever. What happened to America in what seems the blink of an eye? Think, all of this in less than 8 years, which would have been unbelievable a few years ago. What happened to our strength and greatness, our constitutionally limited government, our free market system, our jobs, our traditional path of growth, our prosperity and the greatest health care system in the world? What happened to our superpower status and our ability to be respected and feared? What's up with unprecedented spending and a record-breaking 20 trillion dollars in debt and counting? Profound differences divide us today, as they did in the 1850's, which ended in the Civil War. Today’s “war” has a part of the population seeking to undo just about every founding principle that made America exceptional: small and limited government; a society rooted in Judeo-Christian morality; a deep sense of a unifying national American identity and destiny; preservation of the power of the states as political and social laboratories; a belief in individual responsibility. The other side thinks they’re wrong and it’s wrong: to replace the American dream of a job, home, and family with food stamps, welfare, Obama-phones, and government dependency; for an anatomically correct man to be in the girls’ bathroom and for the government to enforce his right to be there; to give more weight to a Muslims refugee’s right to practice his religion than to an American citizen’s right to protect his family or live his Christianity; to tear down the inherited culture with open borders and the celebration of every group conceivable except white males and Christians; to suggest any moral equivalence between police officers and street mobs who ravage cities, loot, and attack first responders. Another defeat and crushing disappointment as in 2012 will have future generations wonder how, why, and what the POOF happened on November 8, 2016.

SCENES FROM THE AUGUST MEETING Guest Speakers: Orange City Council Member Michael Wright, Candidate, Orange City Mayor

2016 LINCOLN DAY DINNER Benghazi hero Kris "Tanto" Paronto, was the keynote speaker the evening of August 12, at the Republican Executive Committee of Volusia County's annual Lincoln Day Victory Dinner, the year's biggest fundraiser, at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. Paronto was one of six American private security operators who fought back against Islamic militants on September 11, 2012,

in an attack at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and he was invited to share his harrowing tale. Abraham Lincoln, Ronald

Reagan, and Donald Trump greeted guests in the lobby (life size cardboard cutouts), while Republicans were treated to a who's who of the party. With close to 500 attendees and an active silent auction, the 2016 Lincoln Day Dinner was a success.

West Volusia Headquarters is open for business to those enthused about liberty, free enterprise, and constitutionally limited government. Part election central, part social club, headquarters will be a great venue to meet and work with other like-minded people. For volunteer alumni of previous elections, this will be a familiar homecoming. For those new and perhaps anxious and hesitant about volunteering, fear not. A handbook for front desk volunteers, meticulously put together by Marilyn Lanning, and based on past operations and lessons learned, will be provided, as well as one-on-one guidance. The goal is to make volunteering easy and stress-free, as well as gratifying, educational and enjoyable! Hours are Monday-Friday, 11:00 am - 6:00 pm (with volunteers staffing an am shift 11-2:30 and pm shift 2:30-6), and will soon be expanded to Saturday, 10-2. A Day Coordinator will be on call every day, responsible for that day’s headquarters staffing and management. Shift volunteers, including some who can fill in for temporarily absent volunteers are always welcomed. For information, contact Bobbie Doyle,

Headquarters Staffing Coordinator, at 386-337-

8095. Headquarters is conveniently located in the Post Office Plaza at Amelia and E. New York Avenues, Deland (342B E. New York Avenue).
