HISTORY OF SUN VALLEY GROUP

1979: Mr. Hiroaki Yokota, after graduating from California State University, Chico and

Napa Junior College, established Sun Valley English School in the City of Narita. Since

then, we have taught English language to a great deal of Japanese from children up to

adults to enable them to work abroad actively.

1998: We opened a school of childhood education, Sun Valley International School,

to bring up little children with possessing a pride of the Japanese, gentle heart and

strong body, building a base of life, not only English skills but also making a point of

good personality building by conducting our own curriculums in English every day from

Monday to Friday under natural environment. We are very proud that it has been

highly evaluated.

2004: Narita Japanese Language School was established for the excellent young

people abroad who can study in Japan and work actively between the countries. Since

then quite a lot of students went to prestigious private, government-run universities

and graduate schools, and technical schools and some of them have already got a good

job and have been working fine. Narita J.L.S is a place for you to study first in Japan

after your arrival and your oasis with at-home atmosphere. Our school is existed to

校内に設置されたパソコンでインターネット

が利用できます。校内には Wi-Fi 環境も整備

されており、ご自身の端末からインターネッ

トにアクセスすることも可能です。また、各

種日本語参考書などの書籍・ＣＤ・ビデオ等

も完備しており、常時利用可能です。

慣れない外国での生活に不安や悩みはつきもの

です。生活に困ったことがあったら、教員・事

務職員が随時相談に応じます。また、入国時に

アルバイトは勉強した日本語を実践するいい機

会です。日本の成田にはアルバイト先（製造

業、レストラン、スーパーマーケット、ホテル

等）が豊富にあり、【資格外活動許可】を得て、

ほとんどの学生はアルバイトをし、勉強との両

立を図っています。

Part-time

Students can work within 28-hours per week with a

certificate of eligibility called ‘Permission to engage in

extra-status-of residence activities’. International city,

Narita-shi is hospitable to newcomers and there are

many kinds of jobs (manufactures, restaurants,

supermarkets, hotels and so on). Why don’t you try to

get a job to blush up Japanese!

ベトナム出身の私にとって成田日本語学校の先生方は宝物です。少人数のクラスで丁寧にご指導してくださっただけでなく、日本の文化を体験する様々な機会は私の日本理解に大変

役に立ちました。家族的な雰囲気のこの学校で勉強したのは楽しい思い出です。わたしの将

来の目標は２つあります。日本留学を終え、ベトナムに帰国したら経営コンサルタントにな

ることとホーチミンにおけるホテル経営です。

日本語学校卒業後、茨城大学大学院理工学研究科に在学しております。

成田日本語学校で日本語はもちろん、多少日本の文化も学び、有意義な生活を送りました。

修学旅行、スピーチ大会、夏の日帰り旅行、スポーツ大会の楽しい思い出を今なおしみじみ

と感じます。卒業後も相談に乗ってくださる優しい先生達とスタッフがいらっしゃるので、

安心できる日本語学校だと思います。

わたしは中国の北京から来ました。私は日本語が少しできますので、中級のクラスに入っ

り、みんなとすぐ仲良くなりました。クラスの友達の頑張っている姿を見て、とても驚きま

した。これから大学に行き、そして大学院にも進学したいです。日本と中国の架け橋になっ

て、日本で働きたと思っています。

最初は日本語の漢字と言葉をあまり分からなくて大変な事があり、毎日勉強する必要がある

ことが分かりました。その時成田日本語学校の先生がたが親切に日本語を教えてくれたおか

げで今は日本語で話せるようになりました。また、この学校で面白いイベントがたくさん行

われていて、それを通して色々な国の友達ができました。将来は、日本の大学に進学し、日

本で就職したいので、これからも一所懸命頑張りたいと思っています。

わたしは、2005 年 10 月に中国の陝西省から高校卒業後日本に来ました。日本に来てよかっ

たことは、日本語が上達した事と、いろいろな人に会えた事です。 日本語を早く上達した

ければ、日本語を沢山話す事と、毎日勉強する努力が必要です。日本に来た頃は、寂しいと

きがありました。でも寮に入ったので、すぐに友達ができました。 将来は、大学で観光の

事を学び、日本で就職したいと思っています。

軍隊に入っていた時、将来の事を考えるようになりました。日本語と英語とどちらかを習っ
