PRESIDENTS WEEKEND: We celebrate and honor the history of our presi-dents from George Washington to Donald Trump on Monday, February 17th. It is a federal holiday. THIS Monday, Feb 17 we will have one mass at 9 am in the chapel. Following the mass the chapel will be closed for the day. Our parish office is closed and all parish activities are cancelled.

Dear Friends, Once again I’m encouraging all youth 12 and up to become involved in the many activities, we are offering every week in the parish. Our gym is open for soccer, basketball and just a place to take it easy…every Monday and Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm. In order to attend you need to submit the coupon found in the bulletin. We are encouraging you to attend mass each week. Parents…. This is a great opportunity for your child…encourage them to put down their phones, shut off the games and get involved in this activity. And finally, everyone needs to attend our big Youth Night - Thursday, February 27 (the day after Ash Wednesday) It’s taking place in the school gym. We are asking you to bring a donation of socks, sweaters or coats to assist the homeless in our community. I encourage parishioners of all ages to please pray intensely for our youth and the success of the programs we are offering at St Bartholomew Parish. Fr Rick

ANOINTING OF THE SICK This past Tuesday we prayed for all our parishioners who are sick. Many came to our masses at 9 am and 7:30 pm to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. We remind everyone that if you would to receive the Sacrament of the Sick – please call the parish office and a priest will visit your home at a convenient time for you.

VALENTINE DINNER DANCE The dinner dance was a great success with about 225 people attending. The Parejas Group raised $4,500! This money will be used for the activities with our couples throughout the year. Special thanks to the team committee of the parejas for organizing a wonderful event.

NEED A LETTER FROM
YOUR CHURCH? In order to give letters of recommendation,
letters attesting to character, sponsor certificates, and other documents that may
have legal or religious purposes, it is required that persons requesting those
documents be registered and be active members of Saint Bartholomew Parish
at least three months prior to your request. We can not provide any of these documents to people not
registered in the parish.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION There are two times every Saturday for
confessions in the main church: 4 pm and 6:30 pm. Also Thursday at 6:30pm in the
Chapel. We now have two priests assigned during these times to make it convenient and
less time to wait. Please do your part…. come as close as possible to these confession times. Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity
of God’s mercy and love.

ST. BART’S CATHOLIC ACADEMY CALENDAR RAFFLE Dear Parishioners, As part of a new creative way for our school to raise funds, we will be initiating the new calendar raffle drive for 2020. This gives participants a chance to win a monetary prize! How it works: •Every calendar raffle ticket is $10 each
•Please stop by the school office (red doors on 43 Av) to fill out the bottom portion of the ticket and it is entered in to our raffle giving the purchaser 31 chances to win.
•Every day in the month of March a ticket will be drawn and the person will win the monetary prize that matches the day it was drawn for. We will announce a winner every day in March and on Fridays we will announce the winners for the weekend. We will also list the names of the winners in the parish bulletin each week. Last day to buy a tickets is February 28th!
