Youth Sabbath in Prunedale
Youth from across northern California gathered at Prunedale Church for
a special youth Sabbath on November 30. The meetings were held under the
theme of examples of overcoming. Jeriel Fountain made a presentation
featuring Daniel as an overcomer. David Zic presented two different studies
which showed the decision making process of Samson versus that of Joseph.
There was a great deal of special music, the highlight of which was the
presentation of a special hymn by the new Field Youth Choir. Special thanks
to the drivers from Sacramento who drove the vans with the young people.

O!cer Training
Executive officers from
the various churches of the
Northwest Field gathered on
Sunday, December 1, at theSacramento Church for the
first in a series of sponsored
training sessions. Training
sessions were conducted by
Jorai Cruz, Caleb Fountain
and David Zic and focused
on executive church officers including the Leader, Secretary, Treasurer and
Church Board members.
This Sunday, December 8, training sessions will be conducted for local
church department officers, such as the youth leader, missionary leader,
Sabbath school superintendent and teachers, dorcas, deacons, deaconesses,and others. All are invited to attend, but church department officers are
especially asked to be present for training. A field-wide department activity
plan will be prepared during the meetings, so it is essential that your church
representatives be there in order that your local church will be included in
activities. The meeting starts at 9am and will end at 1pm with lunch.
Literature Distribution Event December 12
Sacramento Church will be holding a mass literature distribution event
December 12 in the community near to the church. A large number ofhealth materials and copies of Steps to Christ have been procured for this
event. Missionaries from other local
churches are encouraged to come and
participate in this event.
Week of Prayer
The Week of Prayer starts today,
Friday, December 6. The theme thisyear is Preparing a People and
includes articles by Daniel Guzman of
the Dominican Republic, Daniel Boarim
of Brazil, Peter Lausevic of Australia,
David Zic from the NWUSF, Manuel
Henda of Angola, and Ferenc Matyas of
Hungary.
