1. STEPS FOR USING STANDARDIZE DRAWING FOR PRECAST BEAM
1.1 The designer shall prepare layout which contain information for beam, slab column, half joint and nib.
1.2 This guideline specifies how to incorporate precast beam from tables into the layout.
1.3 There are 3 types of precast beam in the JKR IBS CATALOGUE VERSION 2: 2016:
i. Rectangular Beam
ii. Inverted T Beam
iii. L Shape Beam
1.4 The designer shall determine item as follows:
The type of beam and beam size will be used in the project
Design data values as required by the code:

STEP 4: The designation that will be used in this case is BL-3070-6036. This designation also will be
used as a marking in beam layout.
STEP 5: As shown in Figure 7, the required reinforcement for main bar of the beam are:
