Features and Benefits:

High Specificity Lure· Lower capture of non-target insects compared to natural baits· May be used with or without natural baits· Long lasting – 4 to 6 weeks

Broad Spectrum Lures· Higher capture of SWD· May be used with or without natural baits· Captures 2 ½ weeks earlier vs. natural baits in areas where adults do not overwinter· Long lasting – 4 to 6 weeks

Guidelines For Use:

For High Specificity Lure1. Remove the clear barrier film from the back of the High Specificity

SWD lure NOTE: DO NOT peel or puncture plastic film underneath

2. Insert SWD lure tip through one slit in the trap top3. Secure the SWD lure to the trap top with the lure-hanger

hook by sliding the hanger hook through the slot in the top of the SWD lure

For Broad Spectrum Lures1. Remove clear barrier film from the back of both Broad Spectrum

SWD lures NOTE: DO NOT peel or puncture plastic film underneath

2. Insert zip tie into both lures – the lures should be front to front3. Continue inserting the zip tie through the two slits in the trap top

then back through the head of the zip tie to secure lures NOTE: When servicing PHEROCON SWD trap, pour residual liquid into another container and REMOVE from area where traps are in use.

STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS: Store in refrigerator. DO NOT STORE IN FREEZER.

Two Lure Choices: High Specificity or Broad Spectrum

Contact your supplier, local extension agentor farm advisor for more details!

Trap PlacementPlace traps in the field well in advance of fruit susceptibility

Cherries, Peaches and Plums· Install 3-4 traps per orchard (< 40 acres)· Place traps 1-2 ft. off orchard floor on orchard edge in shade part of tree canopy· Inspect traps weekly, count and remove flies

Blueberries, Strawberries, Canefruit and Other Susceptible Fruit· Use 5-6 traps per 10 acres· Generally, attach traps to stakes or posts near plants· For Blueberries - place traps in shady area on, or near, canopy· For Strawberries - place traps in the shady canopies of the strawberry plants· For Canefruit - place traps on corners, middle and edge of field in shady areas where possible
