This yeor, we extended our orms to ODAC members with o totql of 17 trips, with l4 differentdestinotions. For lhe courogeous. we went to Gunung Kerinci ond Gunung Rinjoni in lndone-sio. For ihe seo lovers, we went to Krqbi ond Pulqu Sibu [Poddles Up!]. For the scenary lovers,we weni to Bukit Brogo, Comeron Highlonds, Gunung Dotuk, Roinbow Folls qnd Desoru. Forthe woterfolls, ropids ond coves. we went to Perok, Loto Berembun, Gunung Stong ondKuolo Kubu Bohru.

When lhe yeor hod first storted, I remember seoting in on the very first meetings; everyonestorted off with owkword greetings ond quiet smiles. Soon, everyone went off on their Sub-comm trips ond got to bond in ihe greot outdoors. As the yeor proceeded, we hod fun qtFomily Doy ond "Bock-to-School" ODAC BBQ, everyone groduolly opened up more ondbecome better friends. The fomily coniinued io bond through events such os Night Cycling,Gomes' Doy, ODAC Fomily Photoshoot ond Chinese New Yeor. And before the secondsemester wos over, we topped it off with qn outdoor-styled competitive Loser Tog event.

Come Semester Two breok, NTU ODAC proceeded io hold our onnuol fiesto of evenis. Theeniire club geored up ond worked together to execute o plethoro of events whichincluded: Adventure Troil Chollenge '14, Pumpfest XVll, Poddles Upl '14 ond F.O.O.T. '.l4. ltmokes me groteful to hove hod the subcommittee members we hove hod this yeor. All ofthem were hord-working individuols who ihey olso knew how to hove fun ond mode eochother's presence worthwhile. Thonk you everyone for the timeless loughier ond joy. Adurntu,. Spo,ts (Adsports) W[)RK PUIY LOVE M'AT.currently in its 7th year, is one of the supporting commit-

tee in NIU 0DA(. l{e organized various adventure sports

events for the general public as well as within 0DA(.

Through these adventure sports activities, we create a

platform for adventure thrill seekers to bond and forge

lasting memories in that company of adventure lovers. As

part of 0DA( family, we also organized family events

where different subcommittees in 0DA( come together to

bond and immerse in the 0DA(s family love.This year,

Adsports 7 being more adventurous and wanted to explore

more options for adventures, we decided to expose our

subcommers to a plethora of different adventure sports

available at affordable costs.

ln January, we organized a night cycling event - (hase The

Night, where the entire 0DA( family came together and cycled

from Pasir Ris to Yishun Seletar Dam, before making a loop

back. lt was definitely a unique experience cooking supper

together at the dam and chilling in the 0DA(-style alfresco

ambience.

Another family event which we organized - ,E Little Pony -Friendship ls Magical, provided a platform for the entire 0DA(

to celebrate (NY together over steamboat, lou hei and various

Lasersquad (ompetition held in Admiralty Park, was part of our

new initiative to introduce different types of adventure sports

to the public. Ihe playinq field was set up from scratch and

decorated by Huaters using scrap materials. By completing

A significant milestone for Adsports this year was the success of our very first overseas kayak-

ing expedition for the public, Paddles Up, where we brought the participants to kayak from Tg.

Leman Jetty to Pulau Sibu and Pulau Tinggi in lB, Malaysia. lt was a 3D2N event where the partic'

il * ipants get to kayak in the open South (hina Sea and snorkeled at a Marine Park opposite the

BEHIND THE SCENESTREK

ffiffiTrek Committee is a home for people who sharethe similar passion for the outdoors. Currently,Trek Committee is in its 7th Year, fulfilling ourpurpose in NTU ODAC as an avenue for bothexperienced and amateurs trekkers to Explore,Discover and Experience the joy of trekking, aswell as supporting the club by leading publictrips which are catered to the NTU population.This year, TREK embarked on various trekkingbased trips. First up, we went to Bukit Kutu,situated near Kuala Kubu Bahru Town, Malaysia.

Next, we went to scale a total of 3 peaks at Malaysia, Yong Yap, Bubu and Tok Nenek, within a

span of 4 days and 3 nights, for a total of 41 kilometres of distanced trek. Then, we exploredfurther in lndonesia, travelling to Mount Welirang & Mount Bromo in Surabaya, and MountMerbabu in Yogyakarta. The treks this year were definitely tough, but is it through hardships thatfriendships are formed and memories are made.

Volume,lBuilding on the overwhelming success last year, we

broughtPumpfestbacktoCitySquareMallforanotheryearoffun and excitement.With the undying love from over 700

participants this year, Pumpfest 2O14lit up the event ground

with yet another year of spectacular display of strength and

skills.We have spked things up this year by playing around

with more volumes, making the routes unique and challenging

for the climbers to reach the top. Not forgetting the most

appreciative audience around, who are always cheering the

cornpetitors on and celebrating the achievements together'I

The Pumpfest committee believes that give back to the society
