Les Fleurs Du MalCONCRETE RAVINGS

Les Fleurs du Mal från Stockholm släpper nu sin första fullängdare som följer upp EP:n “I” och två maxisinglar, som alla mottagits av entusiasm utomlands. Rock Noirkonstallationen bestående av August och Axel Grim levererar starka trummaskinsdunkande, gitarrdrivna låtar, som vilar på en bädd av mörka synthmattor. De är “catchy,” men samtidigt en aning reserverade. Axel Grims röst speglar, i sin kalla hårdhet, vår tids kyliga verklighet. Soundet är samtida, men bär med sig ett arv från 1980‐talets gothrockpionjärer. ”Concrete Ravings” innehåller 11 mörka, men tillgängliga spår med en spännvidd från “rock noir”‐rökare till monotont släpande mörker. Skivan har dock en övervikt på det förra och erbjuder något både för förfesten, rockklubben och ångesten dagen efter. Texterna präglas av ett distanserat engagemang i vår omvärld och dess vilsna innevånare.
