A falta de saneamento bsico tem se mostrado, historicamente, um dos maioresproblemas enfrentados pela humanidade, sendo, que atualmente, a poluio dosrecursos hdricos e a falta de tratamento da gua causam segundo a ONU, maismortes que todas as formas de violncia conhecidas. Existem variados sistemas detratamento, tanto para a gua, quanto para o esgoto, mas estas estruturasdemandam de grandes investimentos e esto normalmente dispostas de maneiramuito centralizada, sendo restritas na maioria das vezes a grandes cidades,

limitando o acesso populao das regies periurbanas e rurais. Este trabalho traz,por meio de pesquisa bibliogrfica e prtica de campo, o panorama do saneamentobsico no Brasil e no mundo, as caractersticas e fatores interferentes de todo oprocesso e apresenta o sistema de Bacias de Evapotranspirao (BET), umaalternativa para tratamento do esgoto proveniente dos vasos sanitrios e de outrasfontes de efluentes com grande carga de matria orgnica e organismospatognicos existentes em uma residncia, com seus princpios de funcionamento,alternativas de construo, dimensionamento, cuidados para a sua manuteno eanlise de eficincia do sistema de tratamento, sendo apresentada tambm umabreve pesquisa sobre alternativas para o tratamento da gua cinza, que carregamenor carga orgnica e patognica, necessitando de processos de tratamento mais

simples.The Lack of sanitation has been shown, historically, one of the biggest problemsfacing humanity, and, currently, pollution of water resources and lack of watertreatment according to the UN cause more deaths than all forms of violence known.There are various treatment systems, both for water and for sewage, but thesestructures require large investments and are usually arranged in a very centralized,being restricted mostly to large cities, limiting access to the population of peri-urbanregions and rural areas. eldpractice, the situation of sanitation in Brazil and worldwide, the characteristics andfactors that determine the entire process and presents the system of basinsEvapotranspiration (ET), an alternative to treatment of sewage from toilets andothersources of effluents with high organic matter content and pathogenic organisms in anexisting residence, with its operating principles, alternatives of construction,sizing,their maintenance and analysis of system efficiency treatment, and also presented a

brief survey of alternatives for the treatment of gray water, which carries lesserorganic and pathogenic load, requiring treatment processes simpler.

Der Mangel an sanitren Einrichtungen hat sich historisch gezeigt als einer dergrten Probleme der Menschheit, und heutzutage, die Verschmutzung derWasserressourcen und der Mangel an Wasser-Behandlung nach der UN,verursachen mehr Todesflle als alle Formen der Gewalt bekannt. Es gibtverschiedene Aufbereitungsanlagen, sowohl fr Wasser und fr Abwasser, aberdiese Strukturen erfordern hohe Investitionen und sind in der Regel in einer sehrzentralen angeordnet, wobei vor allem die groen Stdte beschrnkt, die denZugang zu der Bevlkerung des peri-urbanen Regionen und lndlichen Gebieten.
