Dear Pastor and Church Family, 저희는 한국에 도착했습니다! We have arrived in Korea! We praise the Lord for a safe and trouble-free trip! Our journey began with a nearly two-hour drive down to San Francisco International Airport and then proceeded with a twelve-hour, non-stop flight to Incheon International Airport near Seoul. After clearing immigration and customs, we took a four-hour, high-speed KTX train ride down to Busan Station. We traveled nearly 6,000 miles in a total of 23 hours! We are indebted to those who prayed so much for us; those prayers were definitely answered. Our visas came at just the right time and the Lord gave us a great price on our plane tickets. We are so glad that we have arrived in Korea safely (along with all of our luggage)! The Lord has truly shown Himself strong in our lives. He has taken us through deputation and has planted us in His harvest field. Our hearts are grateful for His goodness to us. We are so excited to be here in the place where God has called us to minister. It has been an interesting and enjoyable time as we have again been immersed in Korean culture, language, and food. Since our arrival in Busan, we have spent time exploring our area and passing out Gospel tracts. As we saw so many lost Korean people, our hearts were stirred by their great spiritual need. In our city, eight out of ten people identify as atheist, non-religious, or Buddhist. Most Koreans today are apathetic towards the truth and many are (initially) closed to the Gospel. However, the Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 4:3-7: "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." We know that we can do nothing in our own strength; we must rely on the Lord as we serve Him. We look forward to fervently communicating the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the people of Busan, Korea in the power of the Holy Spirit. Please pray that the Lord would help and use us here for His honor and glory. Thank you so much for your faithful prayer and financial support; we are honored to be partnered with you in the Lord's work! Your Missionary, October 2017

Our journey began with a nearly two-hour drive down to San Francisco International Airport and then proceeded with a twelve-hour, non-stop flight to Incheon International Airport near Seoul.
