600 BCE - Perhaps the first known use of biological warfare, Assyrians poison the wells of their enemies

with a fungus called rye ergot (hellebore roots). The fungus would cause convulsions if ingested.

429 – 424 BCE - The Spartans and their allies use noxious smoke and flame against Athenian-allied cities

during the Peloponnesian War.

404 BCE - In Sophocles' play Philoctetes, he describes the main character Philoctetes as becoming

wounded by a poisoned arrow on his way to the Trojan War.1

400 BCE - According to Herodotus, Scythian archers of the Black Sea employed the use of dipping their

arrows in a poison. He states that they used the decomposed bodies of several venomous adders indigen-

ous to their region, mixed human blood and excrement into sealed vessels and buried this mixture until it

was sufficiently putrefied. This poison would certainly contain the bacteria of gangrene and tetanus (Clo-

stridium perfringins and Clostridium tetani) while the venom would attack red blood cells, nervous sys-

tem and could even induce respiratory paralysis. A Scythian archer had a range of over 1,600 feet and

could launch about twenty arrows per minute.2

200 BCE – While besieged and being invaded by the Romans, the Carthaginians use Mandrake root to

lace wine which was then given to the Romans to sedate the enemy and allow the Carthaginians to kill

them in their stupefied state.

184 BCE - Carthaginian leader Hannibal has clay pots filled with poisonous snakes and instructs his sol-

diers to throw the pots onto the decks of Pergamene ships.

1300s

1346 - The Tartar army suffers from the plague while attacking Kaffa. However, the Tartar army turns the

plague against the Kaffans by hurling the infested bodies of their comrades over the castle walls via cata-

pult.

1400s

1400s (circa) Leonardo da Vinci proposes a powder of sulfide of arsenic and verdigris: throw poison in

the form of powder upon galleys. Chalk, fine sulfide of arsenic, and powdered verdegris may be thrown

among enemy ships by means of small mangonels, and all those who, as they breathe, inhale the powder

into their lungs will become asphyxiated.

1419 - The "Age of Exploration" (also known as the Age of Discovery) begins when the first great wave

of expeditions are launched by Portugal under Prince Henry the Navigator (Infante D.Henrique Duke of

Viseu).

1600s

1618 – 1648 - Toxic smoke projectiles are designed and used during the Thirty Years War.

1700s

1 Hyginus, "Fabulae" 114. 2 Mayor A. Dirty Tricks in Ancient Warfare. Mil Hist Quart. 1997:10, 1: 32-37

1700s (circa) - The seaborne trading company "Travis Trading" is founded by a wealthy European mer-

chant named Thomas Travis.

1710 - Russian forces attacking the Swedes fling plague-infected corpses over the city walls of Reval.

1763 – During the French-Indian War, the Native Americans greatly outnumber the British and are sus-

pected of being on the side of the French. As an "act of good will" the British give blankets to the Indians,

but the blankets came from a hospital that was treating smallpox victims and consequently smallpox rages

through the Native American community and devastates their numbers.

1797 - During Napoleon‘s Italian campaign against the Mantua, Napoleon tried to infect his enemies with

swamp fever.

1800s

1800s - Henry Travis - one of the owners of the seaborne trading company "Travis Trading" completes

his discovery in Africa. Henry compiles the records of his expeditions into a set of books entitled "Survey

of Natural History", and then it is published. Based on the information in the books, Travis Trading sails

to Africa and begins to extract minerals and other resources, laying the foundation of Tricell‘s natural re-

sources division.

1800 - German composer and pianist Ludwig van Beethoven completes his work on Piano Sonata No. 14

in C-sharp major "Quasi una Fantasia" ("Almost a Fantasy"), Op. 27, No. 2. Popularly known as the

"Moonlight" Sonata (Mondscheinsonate).3

1836 - The "Library of the Office of the Surgeon General of the Army" was established (the present "Na-

tional Library of Medicine").

May, 1856 - Dr. David Livingstone reaches the mouth of the Zambezi on the Indian Ocean, becoming the

first European to cross the width of southern Africa. Returning to Great Britain, where he is now a nation-

al hero, Livingstone conducts several speaking tours and publishes his best-selling "Missionary Travels

and Researches in South Africa" (1857).

1863 - Dr. Luke Blackborn (the future governor of Kentucky) sells smallpox infested blankets and clothes

to Northern troops. Since the attack was by a single person rather than the government, it could be consi-

dered the first bioterrorist attack on American soil.

1865 - John Shaw Billings, M.D., Is assigned to supervise the Surgeon General's Library, which he built

into a national resource of biomedical literature.

1882 – In France, Louis Pasteur develops the first successful vaccine to prevent anthrax in animals.

August, 1887 - A bacteriological laboratory, known as the "Laboratory of Hygiene", is established under

Dr. Joseph J. Kinyoun at the Marine Hospital, Staten Island, N.Y., for research on cholera and other infec-

tious diseases (renamed Hygienic Laboratory in 1891.)

1915 - Perhaps the 20th century‘s first bioweapon, Dr. Anton Dilger, a German-American physician, had

a small biological lab in his home in Washington D.C. In the lab, Dr. Dilger mixes anthrax and glanders

(both highly contagious and both supplied by the German government) to create over one liter of liquid

agent. He then passes the bioweapon to dock workers in Baltimore who inoculate over 3000 animals with

the agent. Several humans die to the infection before a global agreement is made to kill any infected ani-

mals which are found.

Sciences" (NAS) undertake consideration of a U.S. biological weapons program. In response, NAS forms

the "War Bureau of Consultants" (WBC).

1942 - Ishii begins field tests of germ warfare on Chinese soldiers and civilians. Tens of thousands die of

bubonic plague, cholera, anthrax and other diseases. U.S. soldiers captured in the Philippines are sent to

Page 6: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

Manchuria as test subjects.

Gruinard Island, off the coast of Scotland, is the subject of a biological warfare experiment when the Brit-

ish military drop bombs loaded with anthrax spores. The contamination of the island with viable anthrax

spores was so great that in 1986 it had to be decontaminated with 280 tons of formaldehyde and 2,000

tons of seawater.

Thursday, February 12, 1942 – The WBC releases its first formal report on a U.S. bio-weapons pro-

gram. It recommends that the U.S. takes the threat of biological warfare seriously and takes steps to de-

fend against it, and consultants report that a program would be a feasible goal. The report concluded that

the U.S. should develop its own offensive biological warfare capability.

Wednesday, April 29, 1942 – The WBC report and Henry Stimson‘s summary of its contents are for-

warded to U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt. His summary emphasizes the danger of biological wea-

pons and the need for the U.S. to develop offensive and defensive biological capabilities.

May 1942 – The "War Research Service" (WRS) is established as a civilian agency of the U.S. Govern-

ment by Henry Stimson. It is tasked with coordinating and supervising both the official and secret biolog-

ical weapons programs of the U.S.

1960s

1960s – The 5th

head of the aristocratic Ashford family, Edward Ashford, starts the search for a virus with

the ability to promote organic evolution.

Alexander Ashford, aware that he lacks virus research ability, begins the secret "CODE:Veronica" project

in order to create a child genius gifted enough to succeed his father‘s research.

Travis Trading becomes a conglomerate organization comprised of sea cargo, natural resources explora-

tion and pharmaceuticals divisions and the company‘s name is changed to "Tricell" to represent the three

divisions.

1960 - Albert Wesker is born.

Barry Burton is born.

1961 - Frederic Downing is born.

1962 - Ozwell E. Spencer enlists New York architect George Trevor to design and construct a reclusive

mansion on the outskirts of Raccoon City to serve as a resort for employees of the aristocrat's future

pharmaceutical corporation. The designs are based on a model in Spencer‘s office, in turn based on the

European residence of the Spencer family; the Spencer Estate.

William Birkin is born.

Kyle Brendan is born. [Daily Raccoon]

1963 - Nicholai Zinoviev is born.

Brad Vickers is born.

1965 - Derek Azula is born.

1966 - Tyrell Patrick is born in the Republic of Suriname.

Rodrigo Juan Raval is born to Robert and Mary Raval, both original inhabitants of Rockfort Island.

September, 1966 - A scientific research expedition team led by Ozwell E. Spencer, Edward Ashford and

James Marcus begins exploring the Ndipaya ruins in Western Africa. Marcus‘ student Brandon Bailey

notes in his journal that their search in this region began when Spencer spoke of a flower called "Stairway

to the Sun". According to Spencer, this flower would give a person who consumed it incredible abilities.

He also wrote that the first person to recognize any validity in the story was his own teacher, Dr. Marcus,

who hypothesized that a virus might exist within the plant that could alter DNA. Spencer announces the

potential of the virus for military application. To confirm these theories, the team search for the flower

itself.

Sunday, December 4, 1966 - After three months of searching in Africa, the Progenitor virus is discov-

ered and named by Spencer, Ashford, Marcus and Bailey. Marcus‘ theory proves to be correct; the virus

Page 9: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

latent in the plant possesses the ability to recombine the DNA of a living organism. The Sun flower is

referred to herein as the "Progenitor flower". Immediately following the discovery, the team began tire-

lessly researching the virus.

Ozwell E. Spencer returns with cultured samples of the Progenitor virus to the United States and orders

for the construction of a secret underground bio-weapons laboratory beneath his mansion in the Arklay

Mountains, while Edward Ashford returns to research the virus with his son, Alexander Ashford.

1967 – Kevin Ryman is born.

Sunday, February 12, 1967 - Dr. Marcus and Brandon Bailey bring the Progenitor flower back from

Africa and attempt to cultivate it with the intent of mass producing it to extract the Progenitor virus.

While the flowers flourished, they were found to not contain the virus. Bailey deduces that their natural

environment must have triggered the development of the virus and that the matter must be investigated

further.

Thursday, March 23, 1967 - Further efforts are taken to cultivate the Progenitor flower under different

conditions, but all fail in triggering development of the virus within the flower. Their efforts involve alter-

ing the soil, water, temperature and light exposure, though all end with no success. Following this, Bailey

enters a heated debate with Marcus about the direction the research is taking. During this debate, Spencer

announces to them his plan to establish a pharmaceutical company, to Bailey‘s chagrin.

November, 1967 -The construction of the mansion and the secret Arklay Laboratory in the Arklay Moun-

tains is completed. Spencer invites George Trevor and his family to the mansion under the pretext of

commemoration.

Saturday, November 11, 1967 – While George Trevor is pre-occupied with work, he sends his wife and

daughter to the mansion, planning to join them later. During the early pre-dawn hours, Lisa and Jessica

Trevor are seized by Spencer‘s henchmen and dragged down into a secret underground laboratory where

they are forcibly administered two different mutant strains of the Progenitor virus. Spencer decides to

keep their existence a secret. Only a handful of personnel are given access to them. The human experi-

ments are kept secret from everyone, including Spencer's colleagues Marcus and Ashford.

Monday, November 13, 1967 - As she struggles to maintain her sanity, the desperate Jessica pens a se-

cret letter to her daughter. She suggests that they make an escape attempt the next time they are brought

together in the lab. Meanwhile, George Trevor arrives at the mansion and is told by Spencer that his aunt

Emma was hospitalized three days prior and his wife and daughter went to visit her. He is told by men

wearing lab coats that his family is most likely dead, and is sedated and imprisoned.

Tuesday, November 14, 1967 – Jessica Trevor dies from the virus and is annulled and disposed of in an

underground tomb. Meanwhile, deep within the secret laboratory, Lisa Trevor begins to feel the effects of

the Progenitor virus, and wonders where her mother could be.

Wednesday, November 15, 1967 - Lisa, slowly going insane due to the effects of the virus, is left alone

to wander her cell. She is placed under routine surveillance, and monitored closely. Lisa is fed and eats

with another woman; however, Lisa‘s first assumption is that the woman is her mother. Lisa soon discov-

ers that this is not her mother and feels ―different inside‖. She peels off the woman's face like a mask, and

wears it over her own.

Page 10: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

Friday, November 17, 1967 - Lisa Trevor discovers the underground tomb, and she wonders if her

mother‘s body might be inside. Her feeble mind attempts to understand the complex locking mechanism,

but she is unable to open it.

Sunday, November 19, 1967 - The Progenitor virus continues to degenerate Lisa Trevor, and by this

point she has lost the capacity for any real cognitive thought. She attacks and kills a woman in the man-

sion, believing her to be an imposter of her mother. Soon after this she is apprehended and put into perpe-

tual containment to be monitored.

Friday, November 24, 1967 - Trevor is imprisoned in the laboratory, where a man brings him food and

tells him that that he‘s sorry to put Trevor through this, but it‘s for security reasons. Trevor remembers

that he had designed an escape route out of this room, but wonders if this is merely Spencer‘s test of the

mansion‘s secrets. As Trevor weighs his remaining options, his daughter makes one last diary entry.

Sunday, November 26, 1967 -Trevor loses his lighter, the one that Jessica had given to him for his birth-

day. He begins to recall when Spencer told him that his aunt was sick and that Jessica and Lisa had de-

cided to visit her, as well as the moment when he was told that his family was dead.

Monday, November 27, 1967 - Trevor escapes from the room he was confined in and tries to remember

all of the secret booby traps littered throughout the mansion to help with his escape. Meanwhile, his es-

cape does not go unnoticed as Lord Spencer, initially intending to use him as another human test subject

for the Progenitor virus, decides instead to use him as a human guinea pig to test the mansion‘s traps and

lead him to his death to ensure Spencer is the only one with knowledge of the mansion‘s traps and secrets.

Wednesday, November 29, 1967 - Trevor tries every possible way to escape, but realizes that he‘s

trapped. He spots a high heeled shoe in one of the mansion‘s corridors, and realizes it belongs to his wife,

Jessica. He refuses to believe that they shared the same fate as him, and prays for their safety.

Thursday, November 30, 1967 - Trevor hasn‘t drank or eaten in days and begins to doubt his sanity. He

starts to regret designing the mansion in the first place, and muses that he should have known better.

Friday, December 1, 1967 – George Trevor dies of starvation in the mansion. His corpse is disposed of.

1968 - Construction of a management training facility in the backwoods of Raccoon Forest in the Arklay

Mountains is completed, known as the "Umbrella Research Center". The purpose of the facility is to

serve as an executive training school for Spencer‘s future pharmaceutical company.

David King is born.

April, 1968 - Spencer, Ashford, Marcus and others establish the pharmaceutical company "Umbrella

Pharmaceuticals" to camouflage their research with the Progenitor virus. Based in Europe, the company

begins to manufacture and sell various pharmaceutical and cosmetic products across the world as a means

of masking its true purpose and generating fiscal assets to assist in its hugely expensive undertakings.

Monday, April 15, 1968 - With a lack of any significant research, Brandon Bailey and Dr. James Marcus

decide to return to Africa as their attempts to create the Progenitor virus abroad have failed. Due to sa-

vage and repeated attacks by the Ndipaya tribe, Spencer begins to formulate a plan to remove them.

Page 11: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

Thursday, April 25, 1968 - The future manager of the "Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A" in Raccoon

City is born.

July, 1968 – Edward Ashford accidentally contracts the Progenitor virus and dies. The event of his death

was orchestrated by Spencer. His son Alexander succeeds him as head of the Ashford family, and, as per

tradition, he is presented with a white candelabra.

Monday, August 19, 1968 - Umbrella uses hired security forces to push back the Ndipaya and are able to

acquire further land from the tribe. Spencer plans to construct research facilities on the site of the Progeni-

tor flower garden in the hopes of expediting research into the Progenitor virus.

With preparations being made to depart for Africa, Spencer requests that Marcus remain in Raccoon City

to become the first director of the Umbrella Research Center. Marcus agrees on the condition that he is

allowed to research the Progenitor virus in a personal laboratory which is constructed adjacent to the

training facility.

Sunday, September 15, 1968 - Brandon Bailey arrives back in Africa.

Sunday, September 29, 1968 - Armed soldiers are employed by the Africa research teams to keep the

Ndipaya at bay, while construction advances on what would soon become the Umbrella Africa Laborato-

ry. Brandon Bailey continues to send samples of the Progenitor virus to Dr. Marcus for his own viral re-

search.

Saturday, November 30, 1968 - Spencer visits Marcus at the Umbrella Research Center.

1969 – The Kite Bros. Railway Corporation is founded.

1977 (Circa) - Regular meetings are scheduled for both the Viral Research and Infectious Agent teams at

the Umbrella Research Center. Restricted to those individuals who hold a Level 5 Security Clearance or

higher, they are to be held in either the 1st F W operations control room or the 2

nd SE meeting room. The

entry code shall be ―8:15‖.

Friday, September 2, 1977 - Birkin and Wesker gain the attention of the Umbrella Research Center‘s

Assistant Director. He recognizes their future potential, and comments about them in his personal diary.

Monday, September 19, 1977 – James Marcus discovers a method for developing a new variant of the

Progenitor virus. He dubs it the "t-virus" (short for "Tyrant Virus") by combining the Progenitor virus

with leech DNA. Marcus decides to keep his work on the t-virus a secret from the other researchers, and

above all, Spencer.

Sunday, September 25, 1977 - The assistant director of the Umbrella Research Center notes a rivalry

between Wesker and Birkin.

Friday, October 7, 1977 -Marcus issues orders for the growing rivalry between Albert Wesker and Wil-

liam Birkin is to be encouraged. The assistant director mulls over the Doctor‘s sudden interest in the two

young students, and makes note of it in his diary.

Sunday, October 23, 1977 - Marcus begins to think that only humans can be suitable as guinea pigs for

his t-virus research.

Tuesday, November 15, 1977 - Marcus suspects that someone might know about his experiments and t-

virus research.

Marcus.

1978 – Yoko Suzuki is born.

Friday, January 13, 1978 – Marcus completes development of the first strain of the t-virus. He sends out

a telegram to Brandon Bailey at the Africa Laboratory notifying him of his success.

Albert Wesker reveals information about the t-virus to Ozwell E. Spencer. At some point, a sample is sto-

len for Spencer‘s own research at the Arklay Laboratory.

Tuesday, January 31, 1978 - James Marcus finds out that someone has indeed been looking for the t-

virus and his leeches and assumes it must be the work of Spencer‘s group.

Friday, February 3, 1978 -The t-virus is injected into four leeches by Marcus. Their will to survive leads

them first to parasitism and predation, and they later begin to multiply. Marcus believes that their single-

minded biology makes them attractive candidates for biological weapons.

Friday, February 10, 1978 - The leeches grow to double their former size after seven days pass from the

first t-virus administration. The first signs of t-virus transformation begin to appear. The leeches start

showing cannibalistic behavior, so Marcus hurries to increase their food supply.

Saturday, February 11, 1978 - Marcus again finds evidence of people looking for the t-virus and his

leeches. He decides to ask Wesker and Birkin to take care of his lab and research. Unbeknownst to him,

they‘ve been actually playing him all along in order to gain his trust as well as some insight into his t-

virus research.

Tuesday, March 7, 1978 - Marcus continues his research on the leeches. They have ceased cannibalism,

and are now working as a disciplined pack. Their evolution goes far beyond Marcus‘ expectations.

Saturday, April 22, 1978 - Marcus‘ leeches begin to work and move together, and no longer exhibit in-

dividual behavior.

Sunday, April 30, 1978 - After a fellow researcher stumbles upon his research, Marcus presumably kills

his colleague and feeds his corpse to the leeches, wondering if a human can be a suitable source of nou-

rishment for them.

May, 1978 - A pair of pupils at the Umbrella Research Center become aware of Dr. Marcus‘ strange ob-

session with leeches. One of them, Dennis, investigates Marcus‘ labs and contracts the t-virus after touch-

ing one of the leeches. Soon after, he dies from fever. After being in contact with him, the other trainee

also becomes infected. As he grows wary of some terrible experiment being conducted by Marcus, he

succumbs to the virus and inadvertently becomes a part of it.

Saturday, June 3, 1978 - After four months observation, the t-virus infected leeches have evolved admi-

rably, surpassing all of Marcus‘ expectations. All individuality amongst the specimens has vanished, and

the group of leeches now operates as one single, large collective. They even begin to mimic en masse the

movements and actions of their administrator, Dr. James Marcus. This makes them the perfect starting

base for the future development of effective Bio-Organic Weapon (B.O.W.) types as envisioned by Um-

brella.

Page 15: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

Saturday, July 29, 1978 - The Umbrella Research Center is officially closed. Marcus continues his t-

virus research in the abandoned laboratory. Albert Wesker, now 18, and William Birkin, 16, are assigned

as chief researchers at the Arklay Laboratory as a reward for their efforts in stealing Marcus‘ research for

Spencer. They continue their own t-virus research, and it is falsely announced that Birkin was behind the

creation of the t-virus.

Monday, July 31, 1978 - Wesker and Birkin arrive at the Arklay Laboratory. As soon as they arrive, they

ignore the laboratory director and proceed to the main lab. Finally, they are taken to a room where they

meet the enigmatic ―woman‖, a female test subject that has been experimented on for over eleven years,

since her first viral injection on Friday, November 10, 1967. Unbeknownst to them, this specimen is ac-

tually Lisa Trevor, daughter of the architect that designed the mansion.

As their t-virus research gets underway, the research team at the Arklay Laboratory receives several hu-

man specimens to operate on. The subjects are officially scheduled to attend ―correctional institutes‖, but

are secretly diverted to the labs as research models, and deleted from records upon delivery.

1979 - Claire Redfield is born.

April 2, 1979 - An outbreak of a disease occurs in the Russian city of Sverdlovsk, long suspected by

Western intelligence agencies to be a biological warfare research facility. The disease affects 94 people

and kills at least 64. The first victims die after 4 days and the last die 6 weeks later. People and animals in

a narrow zone downwind of the facility are infected. Livestock as far away as 50 km from the facility die.

The Soviet government reports that the deaths were caused by tainted meat, intestinal anthrax.5

1980s

1980 – While still enrolled as a student in her university, Alexia Ashford, now nine years old, becomes

the head of Umbrella‘s laboratory in Germany.

Rebecca Chambers is born.

Kirk Mathison is born.

Thursday, May 8, 1980 – The WHO announces the complete eradication of smallpox from the world.

September, 1980 – The Iran-Iraq War begins.

1981 - Steve Burnside is born.

Monday, July 27, 1981 - Alexia Ashford graduates at the top of her class from a prestigious university at

the age of 10. She is immediately offered a position as a chief researcher for Umbrella at the South Pole

Base. She promptly accepts, causing William Birkin to become jealous.

Birkin is successful in designing the first Bio Organic Weapon for combat by combining a fertilized hu-

man ovum with reptilian DNA and administering the t-virus. This experimental B.O.W. is code-named

5 PBS Frontline, The 1979 Anthrax Leak in Sverdlovsk.

"Hunter" (dev. code MA-120). Due to Birkin‘s jealousy and resulting frustration over Alexia Ashford, the

project is suspended in order to save the test subjects from Birkin‘s rushed and uncoordinated experi-

ments.

1981 - By adding plant DNA and the DNA of a queen ant which harbored an ancient virus to the Progeni-

tor virus, Alexia Ashford manages to develop the new t-Veronica virus. She harbors a fascination with

ants and administers the virus to them as part of her experiments.

A moose is discovered on a Columbia mountain in Canada bearing a shining red eye and a shining blue

eye. [Genealogy Facts]

1982 – Barry Burton begins his 16 year military and law-enforcement career.

Dave Johnson is born.

Saturday, January 30, 1983 - Alfred Ashford discovers a secret room in the South Pole Laboratory

where the CODE:Veronica project was carried out. In order to enter the room, he needs to obtain his fa-

ther‘s family gem, which must be used in conjunction with his own gem and his sister‘s.

Wednesday, February 17, 1983 - Alfred finally gains entrance to the secret room, where he discovers

his father‘s research notes and the true nature behind the conception of his sister and himself. Enraged at

his father for creating the twins in a bid to compensate for his own failings, Alfred concludes that the

Ashford family‘s future rests with himself and Alexia.

Wednesday, March 3, 1983 - To test the t-Veronica virus on a human and take revenge on their father

for the circumstances of their existence, the twins decide to perform the first human experiment of the

virus on Alexander Ashford. Upon injection, they take care that the family butler doesn‘t find out the

truth.

Thursday, April 22, 1983 - After Alexander horribly mutates and goes insane, the twins realize their ex-

periment is a dismal failure. They lock the deranged creature that once was their father in a hidden cell

deep within the bowels of the facility. Alexia develops an antidote for the poisonous gas which the crea-

ture emits in the event of an escape, and struggles with how to restrain the devastating effects of the t-

Veronica virus. She tells Alfred that she may have to perform the experiment on herself.

Wednesday, December 27, 1983 - Finally sure of her solution, Alexia injects her own body with the t-

Veronica virus and arranges to cryogenically freeze herself for fifteen years in order for the virus to adapt

to her cells. The low-temperature environment will cause the virus to change her cells extremely slowly,

offering her body the time it needs to become immune and co-exist with the virus. In fifteen years time,

she believes the process will be complete and she will be able to awaken with her goals accomplished. In

order to maintain the secrecy of this plan, it is announced that Alexia died following accidental exposure

to the virus. Since there are no other samples of the t-Veronica virus apart from the strains residing in

Alexia‘s ants, her father and her own body, all of which are hidden in the deepest recesses of the South

Pole Laboratory, it is declared a ‗lost virus‘ by Umbrella.

Saturday, December 31, 1983 - The researchers at Arklay hear that Alexia has died after contracting her

t-Veronica virus. Wesker, however, hears a rumor about Alexia injecting the t-Veronica virus in her body

and faking her own death. He starts to look for the truth behind this story and concludes that it is highly

Page 17: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

unlikely. Birkin, on the other hand, starts to behave normally again after hearing about Alexia‘s alleged

death, and opposes Wesker when he tries to get a sample of the t-Veronica virus. Wesker researches sec-

ondary exposure to the t-virus. He begins to have reservations about Spencer‘s plans and questions his

motives.

1984 – "Umbrella Japan Co., Ltd" is established in Tokyo, Japan as a domestic subsidiary company of

the Umbrella Corporation.

Local World War II hero, Don E. Joe, passes away at the age of sixty-four. A memorial plaque dedicated

in his honor is mounted on a downtown Raccoon City fountain. It reads: ―Don E. Joe, RC US Navy,

World War II, 1920-1984.‖

"Kendo Gun Shop" is established in Raccoon City by Joseph and Robert Kendo.

Ashley Graham is born.

Ramon Salazar is born.

August 29 – October 10, 1984 – The first bioterror attack on U.S. soil occurs as the Rajneesee cult in the

small town of The Dalles, Oregon infects local salad bars with salmonella. Over 750 people become ill

but none die. The group was attempting to influence a local election by making most of the voters sick

and unable to vote.iv

1986 – Sherry Birkin is born.

Sheva Alomar is born.

Tuesday, November 4, 1986 - Michael Warren wins the election for mayor of Raccoon City.

1987 - Michael Warren becomes mayor of Raccoon City.

Umbrella Japan initiates construction of the Umbrella Japan Laboratory.

Manuela Hidalgo is born.

1988 - The Umbrella Europe Sixth Laboratory begins work on the "Nemesis Project" to develop an artifi-

cial organic parasite for the purposes of increasing the intelligence of t-virus B.O.W.s, allowing for supe-

rior control.

June 1988 - Wesker and Birkin, under orders from Spencer, assassinate Marcus. An Umbrella research

team evaluates the results of Marcus‘ t-virus administration experiments and deduces that humans are the

most adaptable hosts for the virus. Meanwhile, Birkin takes over Dr. Marcus‘s research on the t-virus and

moves it to the Arklay Laboratory. It is officially announced that Birkin created the t-virus.

Friday, July 1, 1988 - In response to the research team's deduction on the adaptability of humans with

the t-virus, William Birkin announces the "Tyrant Project" and develops a mutant strain of the t-virus

which causes the least possible damage to a human brain, but requires a host with adaptable genes to be-

come a Tyrant. However, the Genetic Analysis Group conducts a computer simulation which reveals that

Page 18: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

only 1 in 10,000,000 humans have the adaptable genes necessary for becoming a Tyrant.

Albert Wesker decides to try and monopolize the Nemesis Project since no advances can be made to the

Tyrant Project without adaptable test subjects. With the help of Ozwell E. Spencer, a "prototype parasite"

sample is delivered to the Arklay Laboratory and is administered to Lisa Trevor by Wesker and Birkin.

Upon attempting to enter her brain, the parasite vanishes. After much examination, Birkin discovers a

change in her DNA, leading to the beginning of the "G-Virus Project".

April, 1989 - A pamphlet is released to celebrate the 20th

anniversary of the Kite Brothers Railway Cor-

poration in Raccoon City. Written by the company‘s PR head, a man named S. Gorden, the booklet notes

that although the subway was once only two miles long with just three stops, it is now 8.5 miles with

eight stops.

1980s (Late) - The Raccoon City Art Museum is closed. The building is eventually purchased by the city,

and after renovations, it becomes the "Raccoon City Police Department". Brian Irons, with his passion for

art, is believed to have brokered the deal, and with funding provided by the Umbrella Corporation, the

station is equipped with state-of-the-art law enforcement technology.

1990s

1990s (Unknown Date) – The Umbrella Corporation purchases the entire town on a solitary island in

Europe named "Sheena Island". A large-scale weapons factory masquerading as a chemical plant is built

on the island‘s mountain. The bio-weapon "Tyrant" becomes the main product line for R&D on Sheena

Island and additional improvements are made, perfecting the B.O.W.

1990 – A new strain of the Marburg virus known as ―Variant U‖ is weaponized and approved by the So-

viet Ministry of Defense.

October, 1990 - A trilateral agreement is reached between the United States, Great Britain, and the Union

of Soviet Socialist Republics to organize a series of reciprocal visits to suspected biological warfare fa-

cilities. The 1972 Biological Weapons Convention makes no provisions for such inspections, so visits are

to depend upon the trust and goodwill of all sides.

1991 - Umbrella begins construction of an expansive Underground Laboratory beneath the center of Rac-

coon City.

Umbrella HQ, including Spencer, approves Birkin‘s "G-Virus Project" and work begins on it, initially at

the Arklay Laboratory.

After deciding that he has reached his limit as a researcher and in order to gain information on the true

motives and goals of Spencer, Albert Wesker requests a transfer to the Umbrella Intelligence Department.

Hilda Hidalgo contracts a cancerous endemic disease, and attempts to find a cure fail.

Sunday, February 24, 1991 – A South American drug lord named Javier Hidalgo comes into contact

with an Umbrella researcher with links to the Ashford family who provides him with information on viral

therapy which may help cure his wife Hilda‘s disease. Hidalgo purchases the t-virus from the researcher.

Page 19: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

Tuesday, April 30, 1991 – Hilda‘s condition improves and the cancer throughout her body disappears

two months following administration of the t-virus.

Monday, May 6, 1991 – The Umbrella researcher raises the price on the t-virus and tells Javier about the

t-Veronica virus.

Saturday, May 11, 1991 – Javier despairs over the fact that Hilda has still not regained consciousness

and wonders about the potential of the t-Veronica virus, but lacks information.

Monday, May 20, 1991 – The t-virus within Hilda‘s body goes out of control and she becomes a mon-

ster.

Friday, June 14, 1991 – Javier decides to move Hilda to a special facility. He tells his five-year old

daughter Manuela that she has gone to paradise, and he took her there himself. Afterwards, Javier finds it

difficult to trust outsiders, particularly Umbrella. As a result, he starts his own primitive bio-weapons

program, dubbed "CODE:Remnants".

Wednesday, December 25, 1991 - Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev finally yields to the inevitable and

resigns as the president of the USSR, declaring the office extinct and transferring all powers over to Boris

Nikolayevich Yeltsin, president of Russia. The following day, the Supreme Soviet, the highest govern-

mental body of the Soviet Union, recognizes the collapse of the Soviet Union and dissolves itself. This is

generally recognized as the official, final dissolution of the Soviet Union as a functioning state. Many

organizations such as the Soviet Army and police forces continue to remain in place in the early months

of 1992 but they are slowly phased out and either withdrawn from or absorbed by the newly independent

states.

December 1991 - A former Colonel in the Red Army known as Sergei Vladimir contacts the Umbrella

Corporation. After passing the primary field test for becoming a Tyrant, it is discovered that Sergei pos-

sesses adaptable genes necessary to advance the Tyrant Project and as a result, ten clones of Sergei are

created from his DNA. At the behest of Nicholai Zinoviev, Sergei relinquishes his clones for use in the

Tyrant Project. In exchange, Sergei becomes an Umbrella executive.

1990s – A private militia named the "Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service "(U.B.C.S.) is estab-

lished by the Umbrella Corporation and organized by Colonel Sergei Vladimir. The purpose of the force

is to assist local law enforcement agencies and emergency services, protect Umbrella assets, lead tactical

missions and resist potential corporate terror attacks instigated by the opposing organization of Umbrella.

The group also contained ―cleaners‖ that handled problems caused by products out of the public eye, in-

cluding biohazards caused by virus leakage. They were also used for the purpose of collecting combat

data against Umbrella B.O.W.s.

Soon after the Soviet collapse, a former Sergeant in Spetsnaz named Nicholai Zinoviev ( икола

и о е ) leaves his old position. Since he specialized in many political assassinations and covert opera-

tions, he is an ideal candidate as a Monitor; an agent of the secret unnamed internal espionage organiza-

tion of the Umbrella Corporation run by Sergei Vladimir. He quickly rises through the ranks and over the

course of the 1990s makes quite a name for himself within the organization. His excellent survival ratio

later leads to comparisons between himself and another Umbrella agent, HUNK, and an unspoken rivalry

develops between the two.

Page 20: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

Mikhail Victor (Михаил Виктор), a former Captain in the Red Army, is also forced to leave his position

due to the U.S.S.R.‘s collapse. Sometime after this, he joins his wife‘s guerilla organization involved in

the liberation of former Soviet republics. Labeled as terrorists, Mikhail and his men are eventually cap-

tured by government troops. Through some shady political maneuvering, he falls into the hands of Um-

brella and is coerced into joining the U.B.C.S. in exchange for the guaranteed safety of his men.

While in the French Foreign Legion, Tyrell Patrick becomes involved in black market arms sales. After it

is discovered that the weapons he sold were used in genocidal killings, he is court-martialed and sen-

tenced to life imprisonment. Unlike most others, he is not scouted by a mercenary coordinator. He con-

tacts Umbrella and joins the U.B.C.S. in order to escape his sentence. In exchange for more money, he

becomes a Monitor.

A member of a South American communist guerilla organization known as Carlos Oliveira is captured by

government forces. In prison, he is visited by a mercenary coordinator from the U.B.C.S. and joins the

organization in exchange for his freedom.

After hunting down and murdering 20 gang members that murdered his brother, a former U.S. Marine

named Murphy Seeker is sentenced to life imprisonment. In order to escape his sentence, he joins the

U.B.C.S.

Ada Wong, a spy employed by an opposing organization of Umbrella, infiltrates the Arklay Laboratory

posing as a researcher and gathers information on the t-virus while posing as the girlfriend of the labora-

tory‘s chief researcher, John Clemens.

1991 – In order to investigate the true motives of Spencer and feeling that he had reached his limits as a

researcher, Albert Wesker resigns as chief researcher at the Arklay Laboratory and becomes an agent in

the Umbrella Intelligence Department. As an Umbrella intelligence agent, Wesker becomes a proficient

marksman and well-versed in hand-to-hand combat.

1992 - Umbrella contributes funds for the refurbishment of City Hall and the building of the Raccoon

General Hospital. A statue of Michael Warren is erected in City Hall as commemoration.

June 1, 1992 – With the end of the Cold War, the United States Air Force disestablishes the Strategic Air

Command. The same day, the "United States Strategic Command" (U.S.STRATCOM) is established as a

successor, headquartered at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.

October 27, 1992 – The "Center for Disease Control and Prevention" (CDC) is formed.

1993 – William Birkin transfers his G-Virus Project to the Underground Laboratory in Raccoon City and

is officially recognized as director of the Umbrella chemical plant.

Brian Irons begins conducting negotiations with William Birkin and accepting bribes to hide the illegal

activities of Umbrella.

Alfred Ashford graduates from a university in England and becomes director of the South Pole Base. He

eventually becomes commander of Rockfort Island.

Sunday, March 14, 1993 – Doug Frost is admitted to the private hospital in the Arklay Mountains with a

Page 21: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

cancerous illness and is selected as a test subject for an experimental drug derived from the t-virus called

"T-JCCC203" by Alan Erdot as treatment.

At 22:00, Frost is administered T-JCCC203.

At 08:30, changes are detected in the cancer cells within Frost‘s system.

Monday, March 15, 1993 – At 17:00, the cancerous cells disappear within Frost‘s body.

Tuesday, March 16, 1993 – At 08:30, Frost‘s condition is normal, with a normal appetite.

At 17:00, Frost‘s appetite becomes intense.

Wednesday, March 17, 1993 – At 23:00, Frost‘s condition suddenly changes.

Thursday, March 18, 1993 – At 01:17, Frost is pronounced dead.

Thursday, May 20, 1993 – Dorothy Lester, wife of the private hospital administrator, is admitted to the

hospital for treatment of her incurable cancerous illness.

At 13:00, Dorothy is administered T-JCCC203 by Alan Eldert.

Friday, May 21, 1993 – At 08:30, Dorothy‘s blood pressure and pulse rate return to normal.

At 17:00, Dorothy‘s breathing is steady and her respirator is disconnected.

At 23:15, Dorothy regains consciousness.

Saturday, May 22, 1993 – At 17:30, Dorothy exhibits a normal appetite.

Sunday, May 23, 1993 – At 08:30, Dorothy‘s appetite becomes intense.

At 13:20, periodic abnormalities are noticed in Dorothy‘s brain waves.

At 19:00, Dorothy‘s state of reduced activity continues.

Monday, May 24, 1993 – Dorothy‘s appetite remains intense throughout the day.

Tuesday, May 25, 1993 – Dorothy has now become a zombie, and kills a reporter named Kurt. In the

process, Kurt also becomes a zombie. Alyssa Ashcroft, another reporter who had followed Kurt, wit-

nesses the event and soon after the police arrive and shut down the hospital.

Wednesday, December 8, 1993 - The construction of the military training school for the Umbrella Cor-

poration is completed on Rockford Island for training of the Anti-B.O.W. Squad and the Umbrella Securi-

ty Service.

1994 - John Clemens, a researcher from the Chicago Laboratory succeeds Birkin as chief researcher at the

annexed Arklay Laboratory.

Alfred Ashford orders the construction of a private residence, bridge and prison on Rockfort Island.

Umbrella Plant 57 in Africa is destroyed during the final test of one of the company‘s newest bio-

weapons developed secretly at the facility. Upon concluding the test, Umbrella takes measures to conceal

the whole affair and sends the Umbrella Security Service. With assistance from the army of the local gov-

ernment, the U.S.S. destroys the factory and the nearby town. Sheva Alomar escapes and is taken in by

her uncle.

After running away from her uncle‘s house, Sheva collapses in the savannah and is taken in by a member

of a large anti-government guerilla army who informs her of the truth behind her parent‘s death at Plant

57. Angered by the government for assisting Umbrella, she joins the guerilla army.

Thursday, June 2, 1994 - Lucy Mallett is born.

Monday, March 20, 1995 – The Subway Sarin Incident occurs on the Tokyo subway system as the Aum

Shnrikyo cult in Japan attempts to create a theocratic state in Japan by releasing Sarin gas on several lines

of the Tokyo Metro in five coordinated attacks, killing 12 people and wounding about a thousand others.

The same cult tries at least 10 times to release biological agents in Japan, but never succeeds fully due to

weakness of the Sarin and an ineffectual releasing procedure.6

Monday, July 31, 1995 - Wesker and Birkin visit the Arklay Laboratory and reunite. Since they last met,

Birkin has continued his G-virus research, and found distinctive characteristics within it. With the tests on

her at a conclusion, Lisa Trevor is annulled and disposed of (on record). Her body is meant to be taken

somewhere else three days later as per laboratory orders; however she revives.

August 1995 - Iraqi General Hussein Kamel al-Majid defects to Jordon, the Iraqi government further dis-

closes that it had operated a robust BW program at six major sites since the 1980s. It is revealed that the

Iraqi program conducted basic research on B. anthracis, rotavirus, camelpox virus, aflatoxin. botulinum

toxins, mycotoxins, and an anticrop agent (wheat cover smut). It tested several delivery systems includ-

ing aerial spray tanks and drone aircraft. The Iraqi government had weaponized 6,000 liters of B. anthra-

cis spores and 12,000 liters of botulinum toxin in aerial bombs, rockets, and missile warheads before the

outbreak of war in 1991. These bioweapons were deployed but never used.

1996 - HUNK (later of the U.S.S.) undergoes combat training at Rockfort Island.

April, 1996 - As part of the Bright Raccoon 21 Plan, with the aid of generous financial contributions

from Umbrella, the "Special Tactics and Rescue Service" (S.T.A.R.S.) is founded. Umbrella fabricates a

service record for Albert Wesker, stating that he is a former U.S. Army commissioned engineering offic-

er. He is inaugurated as Captain as a dispatch from Umbrella under the company‘s recommendation.

Brian Irons receives $2,200 in bribes from William Birkin.

Joseph Kendo is hired as a trainer by the R.P.D.

Monday, April 1, 1996 – The "Chemical Biological Incident Response Force" (CBIRF) is established as

a unit of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Tuesday, May 14, 1996 – Several test subjects are administered the t-virus at the Raccoon City Laborato-

ry. One such subject is a young woman named Yoko Suzuki. An accident occurs during the experiment,

and Yoko‘s memory of the accident is selectively erased by Greg Mueller.

Friday, August 30, 1996 - At the Douglas Prison near Raccoon City, an attempted breakout by two in-

mates, Kyle Brendan and Derek Azula is thwarted. Outdated security and poor infrastructure are blamed,

as this is the fourth such incident this year. Azula is suspected as being the mastermind behind the escape,

but his lawyers refuse to comment.

September, 1996 - Brian Irons receives $5,000 in bribes from William Birkin.

Thursday, September 26, 1996 – Researchers at the Umbrella Waste Disposal Facility begin an experi-

ment on a condemned male prisoner designated as "α" (B.O.W. dev. name: "Pluto") in order to identify

the results of an external loss of vision. The scientists administer several viral variants to the man and

then hammer a metal rod into his brain in order to alleviate some the pain which will come. This is done

for humanitarian reasons.

Sunday, September 29, 1996 - Researchers remove the eyeballs of subject "α" in order to observe his

reaction.

October, 1996 - Brian Irons receives $4,000 in bribes from William Birkin.

Wednesday, October 9, 1996 – Anabolic steroids are given to Pluto and its size increases greatly. How-

ever, the creature also gains a significant amount of redundant weight.

Thursday, October 31, 1996 - A body is discovered in the Aimes River in the Arklay Mountain. At-

tempts by police to identify the man fail, as he has been dead for over half a year. They note however that

powerful steroids, along with a mixture of other drugs, are within the man‘s bloodstream, and that the

river has long been a dumping ground for corporations, with a branch of the river located near the aban-

doned private hospital. Local reporter Alyssa Ashcroft writes a story on this, explaining that illegal activ-

ity has not been ruled out.

November, 1996 - Brian Irons receives $1,500 in bribes from William Birkin.

Friday, November 1, 1996 - "α" develops an enhanced sense of hearing due to its lack of eyeballs. It be-

comes able to precisely calculate where a sound originates from and its distance from that sound.

Wednesday, November 6, 1996 - "α" goes out of control as a result of muscle fiber hypertrophy and es-

capes confinement, killing five supervisors at the Umbrella Waste Disposal Facility. The experiment is

suspended. The poor supervision of Morpheus does not help rectify the issue.

December, 1996 – The Raccoon Police Department requests for Joseph Kendo to manufacture custom

guns for S.T.A.R.S. Excited at the challenge, Kendo accepts.

Brian Irons receives $8,000 in bribes from William Birkin.

March, 1997 - Brian Irons receives $4,000 in bribes from William Birkin.

April, 1997 - Brian Irons receives $10,000 in bribes from William Birkin.

Friday, May 16, 1997 - An Umbrella operator is dispatched to the Umbrella Waste Disposal Facility.

Monday, June 16, 1997 - The operator at the Umbrella Waste Disposal Facility notes how poor the su-

pervision at the base is, and that he is not surprised the accident happened.

Tuesday, June 24, 1997 – The operator writes in his notebook how the supervisor called Morpheus is

annoying. He notes how Morpheus treats the facility like his own, even though it belongs to Umbrella.

Conditions in the facility continue to worsen.

August, 1997 - Brian Irons receives $8,000 in bribes from William Birkin.

September, 1997 - Brian Irons receives $12,000 in bribes from William Birkin.

November, 1997 - Brian Irons receives $10,000 in bribes from William Birkin.

December, 1997 - Brian Irons receives $10,000 in bribes from William Birkin.

1998 – After ten years of bonding to its creator‘s DNA, the Queen Leech developed by Dr. Marcus

merges with his DNA, taking on his memories, and begins acting out his will. It decides to seek revenge

against Umbrella, and orchestrates a series of attacks which will inevitably result in the corporation‘s de-

struction.

January, 1998 - Brian Irons receives $5,000 in bribes from William Birkin.

February, 1998 - Brian Irons receives $2,800 in bribes from William Birkin.

A local art museum in Raccoon City ("Rams") is closed.

The Kendo Custom handgun (the basis for the "Samurai Edge") is put through a trial test with Chris Red-

field.

March, 1998 - Brian Irons receives $3,300 in bribes from William Birkin.

Thursday, April 2, 1998 - The Daily Raccoon newspaper prints a story detailing a recent survey of the

many rivers in the Arklay Mountains, and the results it yielded. The story details how unusually high le-

vels of hazardous toxins were found to be present. The paper also states how the shocking rise in water

contamination over the past year has led many to call for a review of environmental protection laws.

Monday, April 6, 1998 – The secretary of Brian Irons accidentally moves a statue on the second floor of

the police station and is scolded by the chief.

Saturday, April 25, 1998 - A manager at Raccoon University is transferred to oversee the operation of

the Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A attached to the Underground Laboratory complex deep beneath

Raccoon City. As the facility is disguised as an abandoned plant, employees are instructed to shoot any

unauthorized civilians on sight should they enter the building, and transfer them to Umbrella labs for use

as test subjects if they surrender.

May, 1998 – The Queen Leech attacks the Umbrella Research Center.

Brian Irons receives $2,500 in bribes from William Birkin.

Following an inside tip from an anonymous source, reporter Alyssa Ashcroft begins an investigation into

the finances of Elliot Martin, chairman of the Raccoon City Zoo Board of Directors. Her contact informs

her that an exhibition is soon to start in a new area of the zoo, a huge terrarium dome, which will show off

over 750 species of rare plants. However, as international law prohibits the purchase of many of these

species it soon becomes apparent that Elliot Martin may have violated this ruling. Sensing a scoop, Ash-

croft begins to look deeper into the story.

Saturday, May 9, 1998 – An experimental animal handler at the Arklay Laboratory plays poker with

other employees who work at the facility, including a security guard named Scott.

Sunday, May 10, 1998 – At Umbrella‘s private industrial waste treatment plant built near James Marcus‘

laboratory, the plant manager becomes irritated that regular industrial waste and contaminated materials

are being sent to the plant as it is not designed to treat such substances. He is becoming sick of the way

the facility is constantly being overused and mistreated. The waste to be disposed of by far exceeds the

processing quantity, and unprocessed pollutants flow out.

A high-ranking researcher at the Arklay Laboratory charges the experimental animal handler with looking

after the "Hunter MA-121 Alpha", recently transported to the mansion. The handler feeds the creature a

live pig and it ravenously tears the animal to pieces, toying with its dismembered corpse as it devours it.

Brian Irons purchases a painting of a hanging nude woman dubbed "Sacrifice to the Hellfire" and puts it

up on display in the west office. His personal secretary is disgusted by it. He notes that Irons leers sadisti-

cally at the painting, and wonders how anyone could possibly consider it to be art.

Monday, May 11, 1998 – In the early morning hours at around 05:00, the mansion‘s experimental animal

handler is awoken by Scott, who tells him to put on a protective suit, vaguely explaining that there has

been an ―accident‖ in the facility below. He begrudgingly complies. Personnel are instructed to wear pro-

tective suits for preventing infection immediately after the incident. However, the damage keeps spread-

ing and it takes Umbrella a long time to take countermeasures to continue hiding the truth.

Ada Wong escapes from the Arklay Laboratory following the outbreak, utilizing her exceptional skills as

an agent and managing to get past the guards. Due to the suddenness of the outbreak, she fails to retrieve

a sample of the t-virus and disappears without informing John, who believes she is still on the estate.

The t-virus begins to leak through the Raccoon City sewer system in small quantities from the mansion.

Tuesday, May 12, 1998 - The animal handler becomes irritated at having to wear the protective suit; he

takes out his frustrations on the Doberman dogs he is caring for by not feeding them. He notices he is

constantly itching.

Wednesday, May 13, 1998 - The handler goes to the medical room because his back has become swol-

len. He is bandaged up and told that he doesn‘t have to wear the protective suit anymore.

Thursday, May 14, 1998 - The handler begins developing horrible rashes and painful blisters across his

body. Several infected Doberman dogs escape from their pens and vanish into the surrounding woods.

They later become the direct cause of bizarre murder cases in the Arklay Mountains.

The disposal system is completed in the Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A. Using a special kind of gas, it

can decompose the cells of various B.O.W.s and failed experiments. The staff still has to try this out be-

fore beginning practical usage of the system, since it is not yet 100% stable. Should the gas fail to work, a

huge chemical incinerator is also installed as a contingent.

Friday, May 15, 1998 - As the crisis begins to worsen, guards are posted at every exit of the Arklay La-

boratory with company orders to prevent anyone from leaving the grounds. Because many lower level

employees remain unaware of what has happened, the keeper attempts to leave to see his wife on his day

off, but is not allowed, he then asks to make a phone call to her but is denied again. Later that night, a re-

searcher is fatally shot by a guard while trying to escape the estate.

Saturday, May 16, 1998 - The handler begins to feel hot and itchy all over; he scratches his arm in an

attempt to relieve it but is disgusted when a huge chunk of rotten flesh falls off.

Sunday, May 17, 1998 - A researcher at the Arklay Laboratory goes mad and destroys the underground

Aqua Ring aquarium, turning the entire basement level into an underground lake and releasing the "Nep-

tune" B.O.W.

One of the plants at the guardhouse begins to grow at an incredible rate due to its exposure to the chemi-

cally treated water that escaped from the smashed aquarium, combined with its intake of the t-virus

spreading through the complex. It is given the nickname "Plant 42" and kills several researchers who are

studying it and consumes them.

Tuesday, May 19, 1998 - The handler continues succumbing to the effects of the virus. He notes that he

still feels very itchy. His intelligence rapidly degrades.

Wednesday, May 20, 1998 - In the Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A, the manager accidentally locks

himself in the ―treatment room‖, and is stuck inside for a few hours. He notes that he must keep his key-

card at all times from now on.

At 22:00, the mutilated remains of a twenty-year old female hiker who was mauled by escaped Cerberus

B.O.W.s are discovered along the banks of the Marble River located within Raccoon City‘s Cedar Dis-

trict. The discovery sparks a high-profile murder investigation by the R.P.D.

Thursday, May 21, 1998 -The mutated plant located in the Arklay guardhouse continues to grow at an

Page 27: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

amazing rate. A researcher named Henry Sarton documents its growth and notes that it is exhibiting signs

of intelligence, trapping its victims and protecting itself against attack. After further research, a chemical

compound – UMB. 20, or "V-JOLT", is created which appears to weaken the plant. However, it is not

used for unknown reasons, possibly because the scientists were too afraid to travel to the plant‘s roots for

fear of the escaped Neptune specimens.

The animal handler kills Scott. Sometime after this he makes a short and final entry into his diary before

becoming a Zombie.

Wednesday, May 27, 1998 - By this point, almost everyone who survived the initial leak of the t-virus in

the Arklay Laboratory is dead, having been killed, infected, or committed suicide. The facility is now

mostly populated by Zombies stalking its many corridors and rooms. Amidst the carnage, Lisa Trevor

begins to wander around freely.

The Raccoon Times reports on the discovery of a mutilated hiker‘s body. The woman‘s corpse was found

a week prior along the banks of the Marble River in Raccoon City‘s Cedar District.

Thursday, May 28, 1998 - Don Weller uses the sewer system to transport volatile chemicals to and from

the Underground Laboratory.

June, 1998 - The "Samurai Edge" and several custom variant models for Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine

and Barry Burton are completed by Joseph Kendo and supplied to S.T.A.R.S. The remaining members of

the team are equipped with the standard modified model.

18 year old college graduate Rebecca Chambers is recruited by the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team to serve as

field medic with the position of Rear Security (RS). She also joins the R.P.D.‘s intramural basketball

team. S.T.A.R.S.‘ communications officer and fellow Bravo Team member Richard Aiken is tasked with

taking care of Rebecca and mentoring her. Perhaps seeing something of his long-dead sister in her, Ri-

chard takes this duty very seriously. Edward Dewey, another Bravo member, also becomes concerned for

the young rookie‘s well being.

Monday, June 1, 1998 - Alyssa Ashcroft publishes the results of her undercover investigation into the

finances of Elliot Martin, chairman of the Raccoon City Zoo board of directors. She notes that the zoo‘s

new plant exhibition may be nothing more than an illegal money-making scheme, rather than an informa-

tive display.

Wednesday, June 3, 1998 -Martin Cluckholm, one of the few remaining living people in the mansion,

writes a suicide note to his wife Alma. He notes that he is already infected, and that he will end his life

before he loses his sanity and his love for his wife. He hopes she will someday receive his note and un-

derstand. He dies soon after.

Saturday, June 6, 1998 - Brian Irons meets with William Birkin.

Sunday, June 7, 1998 - As William Birkin frantically goes through numerous test subjects to reach his

goal of creating a synthesized sample of the G-virus, the manager of the Incineration Disposal Plant P-

12A voices his frustration with the staff assigned to him and the huge numbers of bodies he is forced to

dispose of, referring to Birkin as ―Dr. Frankenstein‖. The disposal system is experiencing serious prob-

lems with fully containing all the waste and minute traces of the t-virus begin to seep into the facility as a

Page 28: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

result.

Monday, June 8, 1998 - John Clemens writes a farewell letter to Ada Wong, unaware that she has long

since escaped from the facility. He charges her to go public with the story of the corporation‘s develop-

ment of biological weapons and the biohazard. He also instructs her to kill him if she finds that he has

completely changed when, and if, they meet again. Sometime after this he becomes a Zombie.

At the R.P.D. precinct, Brian Irons is becoming increasingly irritable due to the stress Umbrella‘s cover

up over the biohazard and his efforts to stop his own police force from discovering the truth are putting

him under pressure. His secretary, unaware of Irons‘ corruption, wonders what is causing it and becomes

afraid that soon he will lose his temper. Chief Irons meanwhile seals himself in his office and doesn‘t re-

spond to knocks on his door. He is actually travelling through the sewers during this time.

Tuesday, July 9, 1998 – The intervention of S.T.A.R.S. in the Arklay Mountains murder investigations is

decided. Umbrella manages to stall the actual intervention until the final order is given to Albert Wesker.

Wednesday, June 10, 1998 - The Raccoon Today newspaper runs a story on an illegal art and taxidermy

collector‘s racket operating in Raccoon City. It notes that the now defunct art museum "Rams" has just

sold off many paintings, sculptures, and other items, but has illegally sold more than two hundred stuffed

animal specimens - many rare species among them. The R.P.D. demands that Rams relinquish the details

of the buyers, but they refuse to do so. The perpetrator is more than likely none other than Chief Brian

Irons himself, and in all probability, the case was closed.

With Irons‘ having been sealed in his office for two days, many officers begin to worry about the mental

stability of their chief.

Monday, June 15, 1998 - Irons‘ secretary becomes aware of his corruption, and realizes what he‘s been

hiding all along. Due to his fear of his violent temper, he knows that he must be extremely careful and

decides to stay quiet for the time being. One week has passed since he was scolded by the chief and the

stubborn secretary has noticed the painting's secret too. He switches on the device and sees the stuffed

animal processing room in the underground and it seems likely that he was "processed" in the room the

following day.

Tuesday, June 16, 1998 - As more and more carcasses are being discovered in the forests surrounding

the town, the Raccoon Times reports on the increasing number of attacks by wild dogs in the Arklay

Mountains.

Brian Irons meets with William Birkin.

Monday, June 22, 1998 - After somehow evading Zombies in the guardhouse behind the mansion for

over a month, a researcher writes a suicide note to his wife Linda. He notes that he had to kill a co-worker

of his named Robert, after he began to show symptoms of t-virus infection. The researcher cannot forgive

himself for being a part of the project, and hangs himself in guilt. However he later becomes a zombie

due to his brain being intact.

Friday, June 26, 1998 - William Birkin utilizes the sewer system while conducting a training seminar for

employees of Umbrella‘s Chicago branch. The sewer manager is instructed to use all means available to

him in order to ensure his safety.

Page 29: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

Saturday, June 27, 1998 - Despite feeling ill (he is infected with a small trace of the t-virus), Don Weller

returns to work.

Sunday, June 28, 1998 - Don Weller arrives at work after being sick in bed for several days. The sewer

manager observes him and notes that he is very sweaty and constantly scratching himself.

Monday, July 6, 1998 - Chief Brian Irons secretly attends one of his regular meetings with staff at Wil-

liam Birkin‘s facility. On his way there, he encounters the sewer manager, who notices that Irons looks

particularly grim. Patrol reports on the Raccoon Police Department in the mansion incident are detailed at

this gathering, though many demands are made by Umbrella. Umbrella, who wants to obtain the actual

combat data of B.O.W. in the mansion, pressures the chief to dispatch S.T.A.R.S.

Tuesday, July 7, 1998 - The sewer manager notices that Chief Brian Irons has been making more fre-

quent visits to Underground Laboratory. He comments in his diary on Irons‘ erratic behavior, that he has

his sympathies, and that after all the man has done for the town Irons doesn‘t deserve what he is getting.

Thursday, July 9, 1998 - Due to the increasing number of attacks and murders occurring throughout the

region, the road leading up into the Arklay Mountains foothills is blockaded by Raccoon City authorities.

Although Albert Wesker has secretly been ordered by Umbrella to keep S.T.A.R.S. out of the area, the

chaos of recent events and growing unrest and fear among the citizens of Raccoon City has made this im-

possible. Due to heightened local tensions, Wesker is forced to mobilize some of his team (although he is

perfectly happy to do so). S.T.A.R.S. officers are dispatched to locate and bring back any missing hikers.

The Raccoon Times runs a story on this. Bizarre sightings of ―grotesque monsters‖ in the mountains are

also reported.

Friday, July 10, 1998 – At 14:40, Don Weller passes through the Raccoon City sewers for the transporta-

tion of specialty chemicals to the Underground Laboratory.

Friday, July 10~Thursday July 16, 1998 (circa) - The general manager of the Umbrella Sanitation Di-

vision receives a memo from the company‘s Special Research Department summarizing an internal inves-

tigation into the outbreak at the mansion. The report mentions that most of the resident researchers and

guards have been killed by the t-virus outbreak, but that the lab‘s security systems are as yet intact. The

report warns that the outbreak may be beyond their control to contain, and that Umbrella‘s activities in the

area may be compromised - especially due to the police and S.T.A.R.S. investigations currently under-

way.

Tuesday, July 14, 1998 - Under the command of Albert Wesker and William Birkin, Umbrella com-

mences the "Reclamation Project" in an attempt to evaluate the remains of the Umbrella Research Center

for potential re-opening. The first team is sent to investigate but is wiped out by B.O.W.s located on the

premises. Supplies and human resources are to be split between two groups.

Thursday, July 16, 1998 - Preparations are made for the first investigation unit to be deployed to the Ar-

klay Mountains as part of the Reclamation Project. As many research personnel will be on the expedition,

a series of experiments have to be postponed, including an investigation into a B.O.W. specimen desig-

nated "Type-Y193". A researcher notes however that an initial survey of Y139 indicated that it was unfit

for use as a weapon, as its head is extremely vulnerable to attacks. He notes that if the team at the Um-

brella Research Center were investigating anything similar, their research may be extremely valuable.

Chief Irons holds his scheduled meeting with Dr. Birkin.

The disposal system in the Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A stops working.

Sunday, July 19, 1998 - As the day approaches for the First Investigation Unit of the Reclamation

Project to be deployed, a member of the team becomes worried that the t-virus is spreading much faster

than they have prepared for, as recent reports in Raccoon City are indicating a series of bizarre incidents

in areas fairly distant to the mansion.

Meanwhile, orders are issued to the 2nd Investigation Unit to act as back up to the first team.

Monday, July 20, 1998 - A television conference is held between several high ranking Umbrella offi-

cials, with the deliberate exclusion of Ozwell E. Spencer. The decision is made to destroy the Arklay La-

boratory in order to eradicate any incriminating evidence and to stem the t-virus outbreak. The operation,

designated the ―X-DAY Procedure", will involve the recovery of several embryonic specimens from the

laboratory as well as the acquisition of combat data on the many B.O.W. specimens within the complex.

The agent selected for this mission is Albert Wesker, and his S.T.A.R.S. team is to serve as the ―Guinea

Pigs.‖ It is agreed that any personnel who need to know about X-DAY will be contacted by fax, Wesker

included. It is decided that the two Tyrant specimens within Arklay, T-002 and T-011, are to be destroyed

once combat data is collected from the T-002, due to the superior T-103 model having already been de-

veloped. As the T-A.L.O.S project is showing potential, Spencer decides that the T-011 sample should in

fact be recovered, and sends a letter to Sergei Vladimir secretly requesting its extraction.

Tuesday, July 21, 1998 - The sewer manager in Raccoon City writes in his diary that he rarely drinks as

he‘s on the graveyard shift, but that he can‘t complain as he is earning a living.

Before X-DAY and the dispatch of S.T.A.R.S., William Birkin decides to evacuate from the Arklay La-

boratory. He moves base to the Underground Laboratory via the sewer system with Annette and research

materials.

Wednesday, July 22, 1998 - At 02:13 AM a fax describing the X-DAY Procedure is sent out to Albert

Wesker. The procedure calls for the acquisition of combat data from the experimental B.O.W. subjects at

the Arklay Laboratory and its destruction. Unbeknownst to him, an opposing organization of Umbrella

was planning to steal that data. Upon discovering this and seizing the opportunity, Wesker secretly con-

tacts the opposing organization and offers to betray Umbrella and steal the data for them. To prove him-

self, Wesker also offers to retrieve the Tyrant as a gift, along with its combat data as an incentive to pro-

mote the sale.

At a hearing for case 3M-40059-A6565, U.S. Navy ensign Billy Coen is court martialed by an appointed

panel of military jurors under the authority of Military Judge Colonel Thomas A. Festerberger at the 703rd

military tribunal at Dunell Marine Base for the apparent first-degree murder of 23 civilians in Africa. He

is found guilty on all counts, is stripped of his rank, all military benefits and his service pension, before

being sentenced to death. He is transported by Marine M.P. s through the Arklay Mountains under the

orders of a commander named Samuel Regan. The destination of the transport is the Regarthon Base,

where Coen will be executed by hanging. The military jurors file a report on the case and also express

distaste at how rushed it was carried out, suspecting foul play.

Thursday, July 23, 1998 - Sergei Vladimir arrives in Raccoon City, flown in from Russia to extract the

T-A.L.O.S. body T-011 from the Arklay Laboratory before it is destroyed. Accompanied by Ivan, a cus-

tom humanoid Tyrant T-103, he heads out for the Arklay Mountains that night.

Under orders from Albert Wesker, S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team (Enrico Marini, Richard Aiken, Forest Speyer,

Edward Dewey, Kenneth J. Sullivan and Rebecca Chambers) is dispatched to the Arklay Mountains to

search for clues pertaining to the recent murders, along with R.P.D. helicopter pilot Kevin Dooley. In or-

der to ensure that the team encounters B.O.W.s, Wesker sabotages the engine of the team's helicopter.

Umbrella‘s Ecliptic Express passenger train, containing the 2nd Investigation Unit, travels through the

Arklay Mountains. Their destination is the abandoned Umbrella Research Center in the Arklay Moun-

tains. On board, the train‘s conductor, a man named Jimmy Lewis, loses his pass card which grants him

access to the front car of the locomotive.

At 20:17 as the passengers and crew of the Ecliptic Express travel through the Arklay Mountains, the

train is suddenly attacked by strange, mutated leech creatures led by the Queen Leech in the guise of Dr.

James Marcus. The leeches swarm everyone on board, killing them and infecting them with the t-virus.

Amidst the confusion the emergency brake is pulled and the train screeches to a halt, coming to rest in

total silence in the middle of the forest.

The military convoy carrying Billy Coen is attacked. The M.P.s are killed, but Coen is able to escape onto

the now seemingly abandoned Ecliptic Express.

At approximately 22:20 while continuing to investigate the forest area in the Arklay Mountains by heli-

copter, S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team begins to experience engine trouble with their helicopter and are forced to

crash land in the forest (probably due to sabotage at the hands of Wesker). Near the crash site, the team

runs across a scene of carnage involving a military transport. Splitting up, Bravo Team investigates the

surrounding area, only to be viciously attacked by a pack of infected hounds. Kevin Dooley, the group‘s

helicopter pilot, is killed, and Rebecca Chambers investigates the seemingly deserted Ecliptic Express.

She boards the train while the rest of her team disperses into the forest.

The events of biohazard 0 begin.

While searching the forest, Forest Speyer and Kenneth J. Sullivan find the nearby mansion (Arklay La-

boratory) and seek refuge. Enrico Marini takes another route.

Watching all of these events unfolding, Albert Wesker and William Birkin sit in a monitor room near the

Underground Laboratory. Wesker orders Delta Team of the U.S.S. to destroy the Ecliptic Express, but

they are wiped out by the leeches. Later, the Queen Leech reveals itself to the two and states the motiva-

tions behind his attacks. Having attacked the Research Center, Arklay Laboratory and Ecliptic Express,

the Queen Leech moves on to the Factory and Umbrella Treatment Plant where the two are located. To

avoid being attacked, they relocate to the Underground Laboratory and investigate the mysterious man.

Upon realizing that he is a replica of Dr. Marcus, Wesker concludes that he, Birkin and Spencer will nev-

er be free of the secret of Marcus. With the eventual doom of Umbrella imminent, Wesker uses the bioha-

zard as an opportunity for putting into action his plan to defect to the opposing organization known as

"The 3rd Organization". On the other hand, Birkin remains to make the G-virus stronger and the two part

ways forever. Prior to this, Birkin provides Wesker with the Prototype virus.

Friday, July 24, 1998 - The Umbrella Treatment Plant is hurriedly closed down. The manager believes

that the shutdown was inevitable, given how it was constantly being used beyond its capacity. He does

however; find it suspiciously abrupt, as senior management has never appeared to care in the past. Of

course he has no idea as to the true nature of the closure, and is happy to be leaving his stressful job. Soon

after, the Queen Leech completely infects the plant and the workers become Zombies.

William Birkin backs up all of the research data from the Umbrella Research Center and activates the

self-destruct system in the basement.

At dawn while on his way to join the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team, Wesker is confronted by Sergei Vladimir.

Aware of Wesker's betrayal and believing him disloyal to Spencer, Sergei launches his modified "Ivan"

Tyrant in Wesker's direction. However, the explosion of the training facility results in the failure to kill

Wesker. Rather than follow Wesker, Sergei instead enacted the top-secret mission to recover the "T-

A.L.O.S. body T-011" from the Arklay Laboratory in order to transport the T-A.L.O.S. Project to the new

Caucasus Laboratory in Russia.

Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen destroy the Queen Leech and escape from the Research Center just

prior to its destruction. The two part ways as Chambers makes her way to the mansion.

Friday, July 24, 1998 – After a day without contact, the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team and is dispatched to

search for the missing Bravo Team. While investigating the forest, they are attacked by a pack of Cerbe-

rus. Joseph Frost is the first casualty, and pilot Brad Vickers leaves the area out of cowardice. The re-

maining members (Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton and Albert Wesker) retreat into the nearby

mansion.

The events of biohazard begin. (Mansion Incident)

Albert Wesker retreats to a secret room within the mansion to collect combat data. Kenneth J. Sullivan is

killed by a Zombie. Forest Speyer is attacked and killed by a flock of infected Crows. Richard Aiken is

killed defending his teammates and Enrico Marini is assassinated before exposing the truth behind the

incident to his comrades by Albert Wesker.

In a scheduled meeting with the Chicago branch, William Birkin passes through the sewers. In this partic-

ular meeting, the combat data of the B.O.W. in the mansion is announced.

Saturday, July 25, 1998 - Wesker injects himself with the Prototype virus and reveals himself as a trai-

tor. In order to ensure the success of his plans, Wesker releases the Tyrant and allows it to kill him. While

the remaining members of S.T.A.R.S. battle the Tyrant and their combat data is collected, the self-

destruct system is activated.

Sergei activates the "RED QUEEN" defensive A.I. which steals Wesker's access rights and backs up all of

the facility's data, including the combat data which would be retrieved the next day.

Near dawn, Wesker is revived by the effect of the Prototype virus and obtains the t-virus and related sam-

ples and escapes, but he is unable to retrieve the Tyrant or its combat data due to its destruction by

S.T.A.R.S. and the interference of Sergei Vladimir. Wesker escapes the facility prior to its destruction,

taking advantage of the confusion caused by the B.O.W.s running wild.

Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton, Rebecca Chambers and Brad Vickers.

Wednesday, July 29, 1998 – The level of contamination in the Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A in-

creases and workers become infected as the viral antibodies are useless against the mutated strain of the t-

virus in the facility. The manager keeps a gun with him at all times and he begins to contemplate the grim

prospect of his own death.

Late July, 1998 – The surviving members of S.T.A.R.S. are hospitalized upon their return to the R.P.D.

and resume active duty soon after.

Jill Valentine and Rebecca Chambers each file a report. In her report, Rebecca Chambers covers for Billy

Coen and declares him dead while Jill details the B.O.W. development program which was being con-

ducted at the Arklay Laboratory.

Albert Wesker secretly joins The 3rd Organization despite the loss of the Tyrant and its data, being admit-

ted with a tarnished reputation. As a result, he is filled with hatred towards the surviving members of

S.T.A.R.S. for reasons of pride, and resolves to destroy anyone or anything in his way.

Claire Redfield loses contact with her older brother, Chris, and loses track of his whereabouts.

Post-Mansion Incident, 1998 - Using the combat data collected from the Tyrant T-002 during the Man-

sion Incident, the researchers of Umbrella succeed in improving the Tyrant T-103 and it begins mass pro-

duction at the Tyrant Plant on Sheena Island.

Due to the inability to control the Tyrant during the Mansion Incident, the researchers at the Sixth Labora-

tory in France decide to administer the NE-α parasite to a mass produced Tyrant T-103 and development

begins on a 3rd generation B.O.W. known as the "Nemesis-T Type".

Data collected on Plant 42 at the Arklay Laboratory convinces Umbrella researchers to develop a plant-

based B.O.W. The result of this project is Plant 43, also known as "Ivy".

A B.O.W. countermeasure gas is developed known as "P-ε".

Using the Hunter α combat data collected from the Arklay Laboratory, the Raccoon City branch of Um-

brella develops an enhanced Hunter model named "Hunter R". Another American branch develops anoth-

er enhanced Hunter named "Hunter β".

Using the Hunter data collected by Albert Wesker, The 3rd Organization begins development of their own

Hunter program and eventually produces two new B.O.W.s; "Hunter II" and a more advanced poisonous

sub-species named "Sweeper".

S.T.A.R.S. is disbanded and the R.P.D. begins the formation of a select police force known as "Raccoon

the leak of the t-virus on May 11 in the Arklay Laboratory. Duvall sees this as a betrayal by Umbrella and

burns with animosity. The company abandons the Umbrella Waste Disposal Facility and Sub Biosphere

which Morpheus supervised. Sometime after, he establishes a cult-like group of followers before taking

over the operations and staff of the abandoned facility and the biosphere.

leaving the city immediately. Barry leaves to relocate his family to Canada before following Chris. Jill

decides to remain in Raccoon City to continue investigating the Underground Laboratory. It seems that

Chris requested a long vacation for the purpose of his trip following the fact that equipment had been

moved on the previous day. From this, Chief Irons has the illusion that his S.T.A.R.S. disempowerment

plan was successful and Chris and others are relieved that they have deflected the eyes of Umbrella.

the two agents retrieve a case containing multiple vials of the t-virus and G-virus and retreat to the sew-

ers. Birkin, who had a G-virus sample in his hand at the time, promptly injects himself with the virus and

mutates into a large creature known as "G". He tracks the U.S.S. to the sewers, and slaughters almost

every member except for HUNK and another agent named Miguel, whose helmet is crushed. In the skir-

mish, the t-virus vials are smashed and the virus infects the local rats and roaches. The virus quickly be-

taken some time off from college to find out why her brother, Chris Redfield, has not been returning her

phone calls. Leon, a new recruit to the Raccoon City Police Department, arrives from out-of-town for his

first night of duty. They come in from different sides of town, via roads which the military has not yet had

time to blockade. After each running into bizarre, grotesque creatures, the two coincidentally meet up for

the first time and barely escape a mob of the undead in an abandoned police cruiser. After making each

other‘s acquaintance, they are suddenly accosted by the now infected truck driver as he mindlessly plows

through the streets and straight into the cruiser. Ditching the car and taking cover just in time, Leon and

Claire are separated by a wall of flames. Having no other option, the two agree to make their separate

ways through the city and to rendezvous at R.P.D. headquarters, believing that it will be the safest place

in the city.

The events of BIOHAZARD 2 begin.

At 20:40, as Leon S. Kennedy reaches the R.P.D., a helicopter commandeered by Sergei Vladimir dep-

loys six Tyrants into Raccoon City. The first is deployed to the R.P.D. to obtain the G-virus from the pen-

dant of Sherry Birkin. The remaining five are deployed to the Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A to anni-

hilate the U.S. Army Special Forces.

At 21:25, Claire Redfield enters the S.T.A.R.S. office on the 2nd

floor of the Raccoon City Police Depart-

ment and finds Chris‘ Diary. Learning that he is not in Raccoon City, she and Leon resolve to rescue any

survivors and escape from the city. At the same time, a fax arrives from the FBI in reply to Chris‘ investi-

gation—having arrived far too late.

At 22:58, Leon S. Kennedy encounters Ada Wong and Ben Bertolucci.

Wednesday, September 30, 1998 – Umbrella sends a large quantity Hunter β specimens into Raccoon

City via land transport in order to collect combat data.

Nicholai Zinoviev reaches the clock tower and writes a report. Over the course of the next day, he mur-

ders all other Monitors.

At 00:03, Claire Redfield encounters Sherry Birkin and Brian Irons.

At 01:00, Brian Irons is implanted with a G-Embryo by "G", the mutated William Birkin.

At 02:11, Ben Bertolucci is killed by the "G" creature.

At 04:47, Ada Wong sacrifices herself to save Leon from the Tyrant and suffers serious injuries, but sur-

vives.

At 05:21, Ada Wong provides Leon with a rocket launcher to defeat the Super Tyrant, and retrieves a tis-

sue sample from the "G" creature containing the G-virus. She escapes the laboratory before its destruc-

tion.

At 05:58, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield escape the city with Sherry Birkin, defeating "G" in the

process. Leon remains with Sherry after telling Claire to go find her brother. Soon after, Leon and Sherry

are taken into the custody of the U.S. Army and the Defense Intelligence Agency.

At dawn, HUNK retrieves the G-virus and escapes the city via the R.P.D. heliport.

At 17:00, an American rock-and-roll band from Raccoon City known as "Big E" is scheduled to play live

in Black Jack Bar, but due to the biohazard, they do not arrive in the city.

Thursday, October 1, 1998 – Through his political connections in the U.S. Government, Ozwell E.

Spencer proposes a contingency plan to destroy Raccoon City, wiping out all evidence of Umbrella‘s in-

volvement. In order to stop the spread of the t-virus and erase any evidence of their own involvement in

the disaster, the U.S. President and a special Senate committee discuss the course of action. Simulta-

neously, Umbrella conducts lobby maneuvering with the Senators involved, delaying the committee‘s

decision and prolonging the disaster in order to collect further data. Eventually, the President and commit-

tee decide on the "Sterilization Operation" and it shifts to the execution stage. Under the President‘s or-

der, a missile armed with an experimental new-type thermobaric warhead is to be launched to wipe out

Raccoon City, and the operation is to be carried out by the U.S. Army at dawn the next day under the mo-

niker "CODE:XX".

Carlos Oliveira synthesizes a t-virus vaccine in the Raccoon General Hospital. Nicholai Zinoviev reveals

himself in the hospital after killing Tyrell Patrick and plants explosives which level the building and any

traces of the vaccine.

Carlos administers the only sample of the vaccine to Jill, who wakes up and continues her escape.

Friday, October 2, 1998 – Greg Mueller releases Thanatos.

George Hamilton discovers a note left to him in the R.P.D. parking lot by Peter Jenkins and sets off with a

group of survivors to Raccoon University.

The U.S.S. 2nd Squad is decimated and the majority of its agents become Zombies. The only survivor,

Senior Captain Rodriguez, prepares to evacuate the city via helicopter after stealing a specimen known as

"Nyx", until an Umbrella researcher named Linda convinces him to wait while she sets off to retrieve a

vaccine against the t-virus known as "AT1521" from the Raccoon City Laboratory.

Several Hunter R specimens escape confinement in the Raccoon City Laboratory which causes a lock-

down while Linda, another researcher named Carter and a group of survivors including David King at-

tempt to escape.

The "Tyrant R" is released and eventually turns on a group of survivors and kills Carter, the researcher

responsible for its release, and smashes the only sample of the AT1521 vaccine. Linda, who was also at-

tacked, survives and makes it to the city streets with the help of David King and a few other survivors.

Umbrella issues an evacuation order to all Monitors and U.S.S. agents in Raccoon City.

A U.B.C.S. team stationed on the city highway and led by Arnold attempts to find Nyx.

Nicholai Zinoviev assassinates Greg Mueller and plants explosives in Raccoon University, destroying all

traces of the Daylight vaccine after failing to synthesize a sample for Umbrella due to the inability to pro-

cure the T-Blood from Thanatos. Afterwards, he dashes for the Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A to take

a waiting helicopter and escape the city, his objectives complete.

Jill and Nicholai simultaneously arrive at the Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A.

Tommy Nielson uses a surface-to-air missile in an attempt to destroy Rodriguez‘s helicopter, but the mis-

sile is dodged. However, the links attaching Nyx to the helicopter snap and the capsule plummets to the

highway where Nyx awakens and kills and absorbs Arnold‘s U.B.C.S. team.

At dawn, the U.S. Army and National Guard lift their siege of the city and the missile is launched.

Barry Burton commandeers a civilian helicopter and sets off to rescue Jill from the city.

Nicholai Zinoviev escapes Raccoon City via helicopter and returns to Umbrella as the last surviving Mon-

itor. The data provided by Nicholai allows Umbrella to advance their B.O.W. development.

Danny and Gill of the Raccoon Fire Department conduct a last minute search by helicopter for survivors

and are drawn to the explosion of Raccoon University. They order a group of survivors to the courtyard

where they touch down in order to rescue them. Before escaping, the survivors kill the mutated form of

Thanatos; "Thanatos Reborn".

The survivors from Raccoon University escape on the R.F.D. helicopter.

Ada Wong escapes with a tissue fragment containing the G-virus via a helicopter sent by Albert Wesker.

Sergei Vladimir retrieves the "U.M.F.-013." from the shelter of the Raccoon City Underground Laborato-

ry and escapes the city, transporting it to the Caucasus Laboratory.

Jill destroys the Nemesis-T Type.

Nyx absorbs the Tyrant R and is destroyed by a group of survivors who escape the city via truck with

Linda.

Barry rescues Jill and Carlos from the city moments before the arrival of the missile.

Raccoon City is completely wiped off the map.

Post-Raccoon City Incident, 1998 – Sherry is placed in protective custody by the DIA and is asked

about any remaining family by the agency director. Meanwhile, Leon is scouted by a man claiming to be

a U.S. Government intelligence agent after attracting the interest of a secret military agency with his ex-

perience in Raccoon City. In exchange for Sherry‘s safety, Leon becomes an agent for a secret United

States agency under the direct control of the U.S. President. He begins his government training, during

which time he learns that Ada is alive and is working with Albert Wesker and his organization.

Leon begins conducting his own investigation into Umbrella, and searches for Chris Redfield.

A non-profit NGO known as "TerraSave" is established, dedicated to helping victims of bioterrorism and

medical-related health disasters.

Utilizing the data recorded by Nicholai Zinoviev, the research teams of Umbrella begin developing im-

proved B.O.W. products such as the "Black Widow" and "Gulp Worm".

Saturday, October 3, 1998 – Beginning today, many of Umbrella‘s employees become disturbed and

concerned with a significant drop in confidence over the accidents which led to the destruction of Rac-

coon City.

Sunday, October 4, 1998 – The manager of a restaurant on Sheena Island hears about the destruction of

Raccoon City and questions the rumor of the involvement of the Umbrella Corporation.

Tuesday, October 6, 1998 – An Umbrella B.O.W. Development Staff submits a report on the perfor-

mance of the Nemesis-T Type in Raccoon City.

A restaurant manager on Sheena Island hears about the involvement of William Birkin in the destruction

of Raccoon City.

Wednesday, October 7, 1998 – Vincent Goldman calls for a meeting between each section of the city on

Sheena Island where they receive the report on the destruction of Raccoon City. Those in attendance

blame William Birkin for the disaster, and Goldman calls for any similar traitor to be executed imme-

diately.

Thursday, October 8, 1998 – After finding out from an Umbrella employee that the t-virus is also on

Sheena Island, the restaurant manager on the island worries over the prospect of a similar leak of the virus

occurring on the island, but the employee merely laughs it off as impossible.

Friday, October 10, 1998 – At 23:00 a group of imprisoned youths on Sheena Island escape from con-

finement and take firearms and cause a riot in an attempt to escape. Vincent Goldman personally hunts

each escapee down and murders them in cold blood. Afterwards, Goldman orders the prison chief to re-

port the incident as a mass suicide to prevent Umbrella HQ from knowing the truth, which will have re-

percussions on Goldman.

Saturday, October 11, 1998 – Andy Holland hears a rumor about a brutal act by Goldman—referring to

his murder of the escaped youths earlier.

Goldman writes concerning the incident the night before and decides to order others who know of it to

keep quiet.

Thursday, October 15, 1998 – Lott hears about Goldman‘s murder of the escaped prisoners and begins

to question everything he has been told by his father and Goldman.

Tuesday, October 20, 1998 – The prison chief on Sheena Island receives a reply from Umbrella in re-

gards to the mass suicide report and states that they will send replacement guinea pigs. The chief despairs

over wanting to tell the truth about the incident, but being too afraid of Goldman to do so.

Friday, October 30, 1998 – A driver at the Umbrella South Pole Base begins writing a diary, cursing the

extremely demanding nature of the job.

November, 1998 – At the request of Leon S. Kennedy, a fellow police academy graduate and private in-

vestigator named Ark Thompson arrives on the Umbrella-owned Sheena Island and begins to conduct an

investigation into the company‘s activities on the island.

Tuesday, November 3, 1998 – The South Pole Base driver‘s vacation is cancelled due to a mistake made

by Alfred Ashford to secure enough manpower.

Thursday, November 5, 1998 – The South Pole Base driver hears a story about a man locked up in the

basement of the Antarctic Base for over ten years known as "Nosferatu". In reality, this man is the in-

fected Alexander Ashford.

Saturday, November 7, 1998 – Lott Klein discovers the presence of Ark Thompson on the island and

reports the presence of the spy directly to Vincent Goldman.

Sunday, November 8, 1998 – Vincent makes another entry in his diary about the spy and people of the

city, and laments the fact that the only person he can trust is Lott.

Monday, November 9, 1998 – Ark Thompson poses as Vincent Goldman and meets the sewer janitor

Andy Holland while ―inspecting‖ the sewers. After taking a photograph of him, Thompson gets angry at

Holland due to the potential for the picture to blow his cover on the island.

Tuesday, November 10, 1998 – The driver in the South Pole Base is awoken by the sound of a deep

growling noise from underground.

Monday, November 16, 1998 – Ozwell E. Spencer orders for the Africa Laboratory to be shut down as

part of his plot to completely conceal the location of the Progenitor virus.

Sunday, November 22, 1998 – Vincent Goldman leaks the t-virus on Sheena Island as revenge against

the civilians plotting against him. He then begins to hunt down Ark Thompson.

Monday, November 23, 1998 – Sheena Island devolves into panic as monsters begin appearing.

Tuesday, November 24, 1998 – Lott Klein and his sister Lily become orphans as their parents become

Zombies.

Umbrellas HQ sends special orders to the "Under Taker "unit (also known as Umbrella Trashsweepers)

to wipe out all evidence and kill all witnesses to the biohazard on Sheena Island and destroy the facilities

on the island completely. The mission is dubbed "CODE:Blanket".

At sunset, the final adjustments are made to the Under Takers as they are en route to Sheena Island via

helicopter.

Wednesday, November 25, 1998 - Ark is cornered by Goldman but manages to reach a helicopter and

attempts to escape. However, Goldman latches onto the helicopter and causes it to crash. Ark loses his

memory as a result of the crash and begins his attempt to escape from the island, while Goldman survives

falling from the helicopter and gives chase to Ark.

The events of BIOHAZARD GUN SURVIVOR begin.

Goldman releases many mass produced Tyrants in an attempt to kill Ark Thompson.

The Under Takers arrive and begin to wipe out all traces of the biohazard.

The Hypnos-T Type is somehow released and kills Goldman.

At dawn, Ark, Lott and Lily escape from the island by helicopter just as the self-destruct system ends,

destroying the Hypnos-T Type in the process.

Thursday, December 17, 1998 – Claire Redfield infiltrates the Paris Laboratory during her investigation

into Chris‘ whereabouts. She is discovered and pursued through the facility, but is eventually captured by

the head of the 3rd

Security Unit; Rodrigo Juan Raval.

December 17 ~ December 27, 1998 – Leon S. Kennedy uncovers the whereabouts of Chris Redfield us-

ing his connections within the U.S. Government and attempts to inform Claire, but she is held by Umbrel-

la.

Sunday, December 27, 1998 – Claire is transported to the prison on Rockfort Island.

Soon after Claire‘s arrival, the island is attacked by "H.C.F." (Hive/Host Capture Force), a Special Forces

team belonging to Umbrella‘s opposing organization. They are led by Albert Wesker. As a result of the

attack, the t-virus leaks throughout the entire island.

The events of BIOHAZARD -CODE:Veronica- begin.

Claire cooperates with another young prisoner named Steve Burnside in attempting to escape Rockfort

Island. During this time, Claire sends an e-mail to Leon S. Kennedy with the coordinates of the island and

informs him of her capture. Upon receiving the e-mail, Leon immediately contacts Chris Redfield who

asks him to arrange a rescue mission, before setting off on his own by boat to Rockfort Island.

Claire and Steve succeed in escaping from Rockfort Island by plane, but the plane‘s controls are manually

set to auto-pilot by Alfred Ashford, who sets the plane‘s course for the Umbrella Antarctic Base and gives

chase.

In a short battle, Alfred is injured and falls down a chasm. His scream awakens Nosferatu; the mutated

Alexander Ashford. Nosferatu attacks Claire and Steve, but is defeated. Afterwards, the pair finds a ve-

hicle and begins to drive towards an Australian observation base.

Alexia Ashford awakens from her 15 year cryogenic sleep, totally adapted to the t-Veronica virus. Alfred

witnesses her awakening and dies shortly after. Alexia uses the tentacles under her control to capture

Claire and Steve.

Monday, December 28, 1998 - Chris Redfield arrives on Rockfort Island in search of Claire, and wit-

nesses the death of Rodrigo Juan Raval. Afterwards, Chris has a confrontation with his former captain,

Albert Wesker, who informs him about the location of Claire and Alexia. Before Wesker is able to kill

Chris, they are interrupted by a transmission from Alexia. Wesker promptly sets off for the Antarctic La-

boratory by submarine while Chris uses the second Harrier jet owned by Alfred.

Chris arrives at the South Pole Base and finds Claire. Steve Burnside is administered the refined t-

Veronica virus from Alexia‘s blood (referred to by Wesker as ―t-Alexia‖) and mutates into a monster, but

regains his will in order to save Claire, but dies soon after. Chris activates the self-destruct sequence and

destroys Alexia. Meanwhile, Wesker‘s subordinates recover Steve‘s corpse and Wesker captures Claire,

leading to a confrontation between Chris and Wesker.

At dawn, the two are interrupted and Wesker escapes by submarine while Chris and Claire escape in the

Harrier as the base explodes.

December 28 ~ 31, 1998 – Claire Redfield joins TerraSave.

February, 1999 – The U.S. Government issues a world-scale business suspension decree to the Umbrella

Corporation for the company to cease all operations. The company incurs much damage with large falls in

their share prices.

The U.S. President resigns.

The T-A.L.O.S. Project is restarted at the Caucasus Laboratory to enable the revitalization of Umbrella,

which had been weakened by the collapse in its stock price.

1999 – Many lawsuits are filed against the Umbrella Corporation, including a case within the U.S. Su-

preme Court, and the company becomes embattled with litigation and rumors. The investigation into the

destruction of Raccoon City begins, including government enquiries into Umbrella‘s involvement. People

want to place definitive blame for the incident, but due to the Sterilization Operation, almost no evidence

can be found to support either claim. Survivors of the incident present their testimonies and the Global

Pharmaceutical Consortium eventually turns over evidence to the prosecution to absolve itself and several

pharmaceutical companies of any potential blame. Ozwell E. Spencer hires the best lawyers possible to

withdraw the lawsuits and ensure that Umbrella is not prosecuted, and eventually create the appearance of

a conspiracy and place part of the blame on the U.S. Government, turning public opinion away from Um-

brella and toward the government. Due to the replacement of blame and withholding of testimony by

government employees who feared being implicated, the lawsuits are dragged out by the company for the

next four years without a conclusion, and it remains one of the largest companies in the world.

The U.S. Government establishes a special task force within U.S.STRATCOM (United States Strategic

Command) known as the "Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team".

The Global Pharmaceutical Consortium and its member companies who are rival pharmaceutical compa-

nies of Umbrella fund a civilian-organized private anti-biohazard unit in order to combat bioterrorism.

Ex-S.T.A.R.S. members Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine join this small, elite unit originally consisting

of eleven members.

Umbrella sets up "hangars" in remote areas throughout the world in order to conceal and disperse their

various assets, including developmental B.O.W.s and viral anti-bodies lying in stasis.

Despite on-going pressure, some of Umbrella‘s dummy companies and its branches outside the U.S. con-

tinue acting secretly in developing new bio-weapons.

2000s

2001 – Umbrella plans to make a deal to supply bio-weapons to the African guerilla army which Sheva

Alomar belongs to in order for the group to carry out a large-scale terrorist attack to overthrow the local

government. A member of the U.S. Government requests the help of Sheva to stop the deal from taking

place and apprehending the representative from Umbrella whose capture would deal an irreparable blow

to the company. Sheva agrees, and a U.S. Special Forces team quickly apprehends the representative and

the guerillas. Sheva and the guerillas are taken to the American Consulate, where the guerillas are to be

set free with no presses charged two days later. The man from the U.S. Government offers Sheva a new

life in America and becomes her guardian.

Albert Wesker comes into contact with Javier Hidalgo. In exchange for a large sum of money and a collu-

sive ―business partnership‖ with the Sacred Snakes, Wesker supplies Javier with the t-Veronica virus as a

treatment for his daughter Manuela, who has contracted the same endemic disease as her mother Hilda.

Wesker instructs him to replace Manuela‘s organs with those of girls of the same age in order to keep the

virus at bay and allow it to adapt to Manuela‘s body. After injecting her with the virus, Manuela under-

goes a minor mutation on her arm.

August 13 (18:20PM) - August 14, 2001 (11:24AM) - Javier Hidalgo simultaneously exchanges com-

munications between Albert Wesker (via fax) and his subordinate, Sergio (via cell phone). In regards to

the female Asian broker who approached them at the same time and provided them with information that

Umbrella was cooking their books and requested information about the Sacred Snakes sales turf in ex-

change, Wesker states that she is an Umbrella spy. In response, Javier orders Sergio to find out where she

is staying and murder her. In reality, the 'broker' was Ada Wong, and she escapes death.

2002 – The pharmaceutical company WilPharma decides to construct the Air Dome Laboratory in Har-

vardville. In opposition, a member of TerraSave named Curtis Miller uncovers something suspicious

about the company‘s research and aggressively pressures WilPharma to release information to the public

but is arrested for obstruction of business and blackmail. Quickly afterwards, TerraSave expels Miller and

disassociates itself with him.

Frederic Downing disguises himself as a black market dealer and meets with General Miguel Grande who

is supporting a terrorist group in India. He sells the t-virus to the General, causing a bioterrorism incident

in India.

A spy from the International Intelligence Department of Umbrella infiltrates Morpheus D. Duvall‘s cult-

like terrorist group.

Monday, April 7, 2002 - In the Umbrella Waste Disposal Facility, many researchers have lost their lives

to the multitude of escaped specimens. Thanks to Morpheus Duvall‘s incompetence as a supervisor, little

has been done to rectify the problem and instead many overrun sectors of the base have been closed off as

―no-go‖ areas to employees.

A surviving researcher writes a report journal on the many creatures breaking loose throughout the Atlan-

tic compound. He discovers a large number of creatures living in the underground waterways and

promptly names them "Torpedo Kids" since they swim like torpedoes.

Wednesday, April 9, 2002 - The researcher discovers that there is a mother organism which spawns the

"Torpedo Kids" and deduces that if he is able to kill her, he will be able to exterminate the other creatures.

Wednesday, April 16, 2002 - The researcher is badly injured by the fiercely defensive Torpedo Kids

while attempting to kill the mother organism, and they extend their territory to his place.

Saturday, May 18, 2002 - The researcher relocates underground.

Sunday, May 19, 2002 - The researcher names a new creature in the underground "Glimmer" for its

glimmering eyes.

Monday, May 20, 2002 - The luxury "Spencer Rain" cruise liner owned by the Umbrella Corporation

Page 50: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

leaves port and begins its voyage across the Atlantic carrying a large number of V.I.P.s from all over the

world. The reason for their presence on the ship is to take part in a secret auction of Umbrella‘s bio-

weapons secretly prepared by Ozwell E. Spencer in order to raise funds for the revival of the company.

The researcher orders some workers to attempt to capture a Glimmer specimen, but two workers die in the

attempt.

Thursday, May 22, 2002 - The number of workers is increased in an attempt to capture a Glimmer. This

time they are successful, and a dead Glimmer is taken in as a sample specimen. According to workers, it

opens itself up just before attacking. The report writer begins to study it.

Sunday, June 1, 2002 - The writer notes that while he is not 100% certain, he believes the Glimmers to

be a sub-species of the Hunter, and that he will need to conduct further research.

Summer 2002 – A former Umbrella researcher escapes from the custody of the U.S. Government and

comes into contact with Javier Hidalgo, who disappears soon after. The governments of the U.S. and a

small South American country known as Amparo ally with the influential leaders of a small village

known as Mixcoatl Village (the Waterside Village) and begin planning an offensive against Hidalgo.

Manuela learns of the t-Veronica virus in her body and becomes dismayed. She runs away from Javier‘s

mansion and spends three days and three nights in the jungle before escaping to Mixcoatl Village. That

night, Javier intentionally floods the village through the use of Javier Dam and unleashes many B.O.W.s

into the village, including his mutated wife, Hilda. By morning, all of the residents of the village are in-

fected with the t-virus and become Zombies.

Under the order of the U.S. President, Leon S. Kennedy is partnered with a U.S.SOCOM (United States

Special Operations Command) soldier named Jack Krauser and the pair is charged with investigating

Javier Hidalgo‘s relationship to Umbrella and securing him.

Leon arrives in Amparo via a Cessna airplane which is shot down and he is forced to walk to the

rendezvous point. Krauser (supported over the radio by Ingrid Hunnigan) treks through Amparo.

Leon and Krauser rendezvous and begin the operation.

The events of BIOHAZARD THE DARKSIDE CHRONICLES begin.

Leon and Krauser confirm the presence of B.O.W.s, verifying the belief that Javier purchased them off

the black market. Their guide is killed and they later meet Manuela Hidalgo who guides the two to Javi-

er‘s heavily fortified mansion.

Javier merges with the Veronica Plant and becomes the "V Complex". In the ensuing battle, Manuela‘s t-

Veronica powers awaken and she helps Leon and Krauser destroy the massive creature, preventing the

largest bio-terror disaster in history.

Leon, Krauser and Manuela escape via helicopter. Afterwards, Manuela is taken into the custody of the

U.S. Government and Krauser leaves the U.S. Army due to his injury.

Krauser fakes his own death in an accident and disappears. Afterwards, he makes contact with Albert

Wesker and joins The 3rd Organization.

August, 2002 – Due to sloppy management by Morpheus, the t-virus leaks in the Sub Biosphere and the

entire staff becomes infected.

Tuesday, August 27, 2002 – The 100th day anniversary of a freight crewman‘s coming onboard the

Spencer Rain.

Wednesday, September 4, 2002 – Large cargo is brought into the presentation room on the Spencer

Rain. The cargo itself is a selection of B.O.W.s. The secret bio-weapons auction apparently begins.

Friday, September 6, 2002 – The auction of Umbrella‘s bio-weapons continues and passengers continue

to enter the Presentation Room, to the confusion of a freight crewman.

Saturday, September 7, 2002 – The freight crewman is yelled at by his boss for neglecting his job and

not paying attention.

Sunday, September 14, 2002 – The waiter on the Spencer Rain writes a letter for his brother.

Tuesday, September 16, 2002 – Repairs of the facilities on the Spencer Rain begin.

Wednesday, September 18, 2002 - Three samples of the t-virus including the new agent V.0.9.2 of the

t+G-virus are stolen from a safe used to store trial products in the Paris Laboratory by a terrorist group led

by Morpheus D. Duvall and a legion of his fanatical worshippers. It is believed by Umbrella to be an act

of revenge. Umbrella issues instructions to all facilities to report any information which could lead to

Morpheus‘ capture.

Friday, September 20, 2002 – A representative of Umbrella speaks words of appreciation to the captain

of the Spencer Rain.

Saturday, September 21, 2002 – The terrorist group led by Morpheus sea-jacks the Spencer Rain. Mor-

pheus causes a bio-terror incident on the ship and leaks the t-virus, killing the entire crew and even his

own men. Morpheus demands five billion dollars each from the U.S. and Chinese governments and an-

nounces that if the demands are not met, missiles loaded with the t-virus will be launched at both coun-

tries.

Sunday, September 22, 2002 - U.S.STRATCOM deploys a member of the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and

Investigation Team named Bruce McGivern to stop Morpheus and repatriate the virus from him. At the

same time, the Chinese government deploys Fong Ling, a spy for the Ministry of State Security of the

People‘s Republic of China (MSS) with the same orders. Upon their arrival, Bruce is held at gunpoint by

Morpheus on the deck of the ship. Fong Ling throws a grenade which seriously injures Morpheus in the

stomach and enables Bruce to narrowly escape. Morpheus disappears into the ship and Bruce gives chase.

The events of GUN SURVIVOR 4 BIOHAZARD HEROES NEVER DIE begin.

Disposal Facility. Bruce and Fong Ling manage to escape the ship before it crashes into the rocks and

explodes and enter the facility.

Monday, September 23, 2002 - The two agents are separated, and Fong Ling is captured by Morpheus.

With the use of the Charged Particle Rifle, Bruce manages to subdue Morpheus and the pair attempts to

stop the missiles. Morpheus mutates and gives chase, but eventually swells to unthinkable proportions.

Bruce and Fong Ling quickly escape before Morpheus explodes, destroying the missiles and the Bio-

Sphere. At dawn, the pair is rescued by helicopters.

2003 – Sheva Alomar enrolls in university.

With the loss of the Spencer Rain and thus, many of its valuable customers and samples, Umbrella plans

to supply new-type B.O.W.s to conflict areas around the world.

February, 2003 – The Russian Government obtains information about the development of a new B.O.W.

at the Russia branch of Umbrella. The information is shared with the private anti-biohazard unit.

An accident occurs in the Caucasus region of Russia. The t-virus leaks and infects local wolves. Shortly

after, the wolves attack a village which is the site of an Umbrella ―hangar‖ and cause the residents to be-

come Zombies. The villagers believe the monsters are the result of a legendary monster "Almas" revived.

Spies of The 3rd Organization report the outbreak in the village. In order to obtain the developmental

Hunter δ B.O.W.s and the research data collected at the hangar, Albert Wesker sets off to the village.

Two days after the outbreak in the village, some of the wolves infected with the t-virus are captured in a

forest north of the village. Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine travel to the village to investigate. Upon ar-

rival, they are confronted by the zombified population and meet the daughter of the village chief, Anna.

After traveling to the village silo and causing an explosion which incinerates a large number of Zombies,

they are confronted by Wesker. The explosion causes the release of the Hunters and a trap set by Anna‘s

father causes Wesker to lose the data as well. However, Wesker retrieves diagrams of the Caucasus La-

boratory, and sets off to take revenge on Sergei for interfering with his plans five years ago and steal Um-

brella‘s data. Chris and Jill realize that Anna‘s father was an employee at the chemical factory, the secret

front for the laboratory. Acting on this information, they set off to eradicate Umbrella‘s legacy once and

for all.

Tuesday, February 18, 2003 – The Russian Government organizes an operation to shut down the Russia

branch of the Umbrella Corporation recently discovered by Chris and Jill. As members of the private anti-

biohazard unit, Chris and Jill rendezvous with the unit and commence the operation without waiting for

authorization from the government.

Albert Wesker arrives at the facility and leaks the t-virus, causing a Level 4 biohazard. Sergei Vladimir

orders RED QUEEN to commence the activation of T-A.L.O.S. before the arrival of the Russian govern-

ment.

The events of Umbrella‘s End begin.

The Private Anti-Biohazard Unit arrives in helicopters and attacks the facility. Chris and Jill reach the

depths of the facility and are confronted by T-A.L.O.S., which is released against the two by Sergei

Vladimir. At the same time, Sergei himself is confronted by Albert Wesker.

Sergei injects himself with the t-virus but is killed by Wesker. Chris and Jill succeed in destroying T-

A.L.O.S. and Wesker regains access to the U.M.F.-013. Upon saving the data to a hologram memory

disk, Wesker wipes the mainframe and leaves the facility.

The attack on the Caucasus Laboratory becomes known as the =T-A.L.O.S. Interdiction Operation‗.

February, 2003 – Another lawsuit is filed against the Umbrella Corporation which puts additional pres-

sure on the company to take responsibility for the Raccoon City incident.

Albert Wesker submits Umbrella data to the Supreme Court trial of Umbrella, and the company is imme-

diately declared guilty of all charges. Taking full responsibility for the biohazard in Raccoon City and its

destruction, the company is ordered to be shut down by the U.S. government. Following this, Umbrella's

stock prices rapidly crash worldwide. By this time, Umbrella is finished. In order to evade responsibility,

the company's CEO Ozwell E. Spencer disappears and goes into hiding.

The Russian Ministry of the Interior (Ministry of Internal Affairs) agrees to cooperate with the FBI in a

manhunt for Ozwell E. Spencer.

Albert Wesker approaches Excella Gionne and shares with her the secret information stolen from Um-

brella, and also supplies her with samples of the t-virus and t-Veronica virus and Umbrella technology.

Excella successfully restarts Tricell's B.O.W. development by using these resources, significantly improv-

ing the bio-weapons business of the pharmaceutical division. In this way, Excella, who becomes a valu-

able member of the company, strengthens her influence and rises to the post of Tricell Africa director.

An anti-bioterrorism force is established by the Global Pharmaceutical Consortium to fight threats from

B.O.W.s with eleven founding members, including Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine.

Tuesday, March 4, 2003 – The head office of Umbrella in Europe announces that it is close to being

placed in receivership. In the same month, it is dissolved.

2003 – WilPharma quickly becomes the leading pharmaceutical company in the industry following the

collapse of Umbrella.

2003 ~ 2004 and hereafter – Following Umbrella's dissolution, various former employees and research-

ers begin leaking viruses and B.O.W.s from the company onto the black market. Their bio-weapons end

up in the hands of terrorists, rogue nations and guerrillas who rush to buy the weapons, and the world is

rocked by bioterrorist incidents.

Umbrella Japan attempts to look for other domestic or foreign enterprises to buy out the company, but

none show interest.

Wednesday, March 10, 2004 – A meeting is held between the board of directors of Umbrella Japan Co.,

Ltd and the dissolution of the company is decided.

Sunday, March 14, 2004 – Umbrella Japan begins liquidation and is dissolved.

Monday, March 15, 2004 – A morning paper reports on the dissolution of Umbrella Japan.

Unknown Date, 2004 - Albert Wesker hears information about a parasite in Europe which gives super-

human strength to its host. He plans a mission to steal a sample of this parasite (known as =Las Plagas‗)

from the Los Illuminados cult.

Ada Wong intercepts an e-mail from Luis Sera to an old friend from university (now deceased). From this

e-mail, she learns of the Las Plagas parasite and his desire to leave the Los Illuminados cult. She relays

the information to =The Organization‗ which manages to retrieve tissue samples of the parasite at some

point and becomes interested in studying how the parasites are controlled. In order to do so, they require a

=control Plaga‗. She decides to approach Sera and offers him a deal to protect him in exchange for a con-

trol Plaga sample he developed.

Under orders from Albert Wesker, Jack Krauser travels to Europe and infiltrates the Los Illuminados cult

in order to retrieve a sample of the control Plaga.

Autumn, 2004 – After performing many assignments as an agent of the United States, Leon S. Kennedy

is given a new assignment to protect Ashley Graham, the daughter of the President. After careful investi-

gation of Leon's background, thoughts, and experience, the government determines that he is appropri-

ately suited to protecting VIPs.

Just after completing his special training and right before beginning his first assignment, Ashley Graham

is kidnapped by Jack Krauser and brought to Europe in order for Krauser to gain the trust of the Los Illu-

minados and access to their inner circle. Despite Krauser‗s actions, he is still not allowed near the control

Plaga and reports to Wesker for backup. In response, Wesker beckons Ada Wong to join The 3rd Organi-

zation and sends her to conduct information-gathering and retrieve the sample. At the same time, Ada is

ordered by her own organization to prove her loyalty and retrieve the control Plaga for them, and send

Wesker a subordinate Plaga.

The U.S. government chooses Leon S. Kennedy is charged with leading the investigation into Ashley‗s

kidnapping on his own after extensive background checking and he begins his investigation. Based on

eyewitness information from the FBI on Ashley‗s whereabouts in a village located in a rural, remote re-

gion of Southern Europe, Leon is dispatched. Before leaving the U.S., he travels to the Kendo Gun Shop

owned by Joseph Kendo and requests a custom gun similar to the Samurai Edge. Afterwards, Leon leaves

for Europe.

Upon arriving at the village, Leon encounters a dangerous type of enemy known only as =Ganado‗. He

meets Luis Sera, who claims to be a former Madrid police officer, and uncovers the secret plot of the Los

Illuminados to use the Plagas parasite as a means to take control of the world. He rescues Ashley and sub-

sequently kills two of the cult‗s ring-leaders; Bitores Mendez and Ramon Salazar. He also meets Ada

Wong once again after six years. However, Ashley is recaptured and taken to an island base under the

control of the cult.

Ada helps Leon get to the island base, but quickly disappears again to complete her own objectives. She

retrieves several samples of the subordinate Plaga and plants explosives throughout the island. Later, she

saves Leon from being assassinated by Krauser.

Page 55: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

Leon defeats Krauser, who is finally killed by Ada. Upon rescuing Ashley again and removing the Plagas

within his and her bodies, Leon engages in combat with the cult‗s ring-leader; Osmund Saddler, who mu-

tates due to the effects of the control Plaga. With the help of Ada tossing a rocket launcher with a high-

powered rocket, Leon destroys Saddler. Despite their cooperation, Ada steals the control Plaga from Leon

and escapes on a helicopter sent by her own organization, rather than Wesker‗s, and sets off the timer on

the explosives she planted while providing Leon with a key to a jet-ski.

At dawn, Ada escapes by helicopter while Leon and Ashley escape by jet-ski.

Following the incident, as ordered by her organization, Ada sends Wesker a subordinate Plaga rather than

the control Plaga, damaging Wesker‗s plans. Despite this betrayal, Wesker succeeds in retrieving a dead

control Plaga sample from the corpse of Jack Krauser.

Monday, November 14, 2005 – A National Pharmaceutical Conference is scheduled to be held today in

Harvardville by a desperate Ron Davis in order for WilPharma to dodge the brunt of public opposition.

While Davis is visiting the city airport, a mysterious terrorist contacts the U.S. government and demands

the President himself to reveal information regarding the government‗s involvement in the Raccoon City

incident, or the t-virus will be spread in all over the U.S.

At 15:00, Curtis Miller, conspiring with Frederic Downing, causes a bioterrorism incident in Harvardville

Airport after leaking the t-virus and causing an outbreak of zombies. At the same time, a plane carrying

passengers infected with the virus crashes into the airport terminal.

The airport police and state board of health seal off the airport and take measures against the infection.

The Harvardville Police Department responds afterwards, and the Special Response Team (S.R.T.) led by

Angela Miller is sent in. Taking the situation seriously, the White House sends Leon S. Kennedy to inves-

tigate.

Ingrid Hunnigan suggests a plan for the President to deploy U.S. Marines to Harvardville in response to

the incident. He uses the provisions of the Special Emergency Act to push the order through Congress and

the Marines are deployed. Leon and Angela Miller rescue Claire Redfield, Rani Chawla and Ron Davis.

Greg Glenn is infected during the escape from the airport and becomes a zombie.

All trucks containing samples of the t-vaccine are destroyed, and Frederic Downing secretly has the last

remaining sample.

Curtis Miller arrives at the Air Dome Laboratory and steals the G-virus. After a bomb is detonated and

leaks the t-virus throughout the laboratory, Leon and Angela arrive. Curtis injects himself with the G-

virus and quickly mutates, slaughtering several Marines. A long battle between G-Curtis and Leon and

Angela occurs.

Frederic Downing is arrested and interrogation begins. Leon retrieves the last sample of the t-vaccine.

Thursday, November 17, 2005 – Frederic Downing talks under interrogation and reveals the entire plot

behind the incident, including his involvement in the bioterrorism incident in India in 2002. Leon leaves

Saturday, August 1, 2006 – The BSAA obtains information on the whereabouts of Ozwell E. Spencer, in

his reclusive Spencer Estate in Europe. In response, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine set off to arrest him,

hoping he would lead them to Albert Wesker. At the same time, Albert Wesker arrives to confront his

former employer and learns of his past. Enraged, Wesker kills Spencer and reflects.

Chris and Jill find Wesker and a short battle ensues in which Wesker quickly gains the upper hand. Just

before he prepares to kill Chris, Jill throws herself towards Wesker, sending them both falling over the

cliff.

The BSAA initiates a search for Jill, but neither she nor her personal effects are recovered. Albert Wesker

is also presumed dead despite his body never being recovered.

near Kijuju that they are to be inoculated against an infectious disease. In reality, it is the beginning of the

field test for the new =Type 3 Plagas‗.

Tuesday, April 8, 2008 – The villagers are administered the Plaga eggs at the Tricell oil field.

Wednesday, April 9, 2008 – All of the children in the village come down with a fever, and their mothers

draw water to cool their bodies. Despite the attempt, by the morning, all of the children die.

Thursday, April 10, 2008 – All of the males in the village begin to exhibit extreme amounts of aggres-

sion, while the women simply sit around and don‗t move.

Tricell during the test for loading the Uroboros virus onto missiles. A BL-4 (Biohazard Level 4) quaran-

tine is quickly set up around the immediate area.

Thursday, May 8, 2008 – Miguel writes in his journal about the development of the basic concepts be-

hind the development of the Uroboros virus.

Sunday, May 11, 2008 – Eye-witness reports about an animal undergoing a rapid and strange mutation in

the missile storage area that was under quarantine become apparent, however, it lacks the viral cysts nor-

mally produced by the Uroboros virus and the man in charge of the situation speculates that it is a crea-

ture influenced by the Uroboros virus.

Monday, May 12, 2008 – A lightly armed team is sent to investigate the strange creature sightings.

However, another team is sent shortly after to recover the corpses of the first team. The creature is code-

named

=Reaper‗.

December, 2008 – Before putting the variant =Type 2 Plagas‗ on the black market, Irving holds a demon-

stration/operational test to ensure the product meets customer satisfaction and introduces it to citizens of

the autonomous region of Kijuju, a country in West Africa. The parasite quickly begins to spread

throughout the populace.

Sunday, December 14, 2008 – At 02:38, a mining foreman named Adam in Kijuju begins writing on his

blog.

Tuesday, December 16, 2008 – At 20:07, Adam makes another blog entry.

Friday, December 19, 2008 – At 10:09, Adam makes another blog entry.

Tuesday, December 23, 2008 – At 02:00, Adam reports having witnessed a headless carcass of a dog.

Thursday, December 25, 2008 – At 03:44, Adam writes about having spent time with a blonde girl

named Allyson who also admits to witnessing strange things since the beginning of December.

2009 – All researchers related to the Uroboros Plan are disposed of in order to prevent information leaks.

Page 59: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

Friday, January 9, 2009 – Adam returns to Kijuju following a vacation to visit family. At 15:00, he re-

ports about the air in Kijuju seeming oppressive and stifling.

Friday, January 16, 2009 – At 21:17, Adam reports about a bar-fight which broke out, and the anti-

foreigner sentiment present.

Friday, January 23, 2009 – At 10:05, Adam reports a public assembly in which the village butcher is

burnt.

Friday, January 30, 2009 – At 12:20, the number of Majinis has multiplied, as Adam reports seeing two

or three times more people in the assembly place.

Friday, February 6, 2009 – At 01:18, Adam makes another blog post about Allyson returning and the

number of people in the assembly increasing still.

Friday, February 13, 2009 – At 02:34, Adam makes another blog post about nightmarish experiences

and sights in Kijuju, including an execution a person being dragged into a building and a Plaga-infected

dog.

A BSAA level 6 intelligence analyst named Ryan takes particular notice of Adam‗s blog and begins to

suspect the involvement of Las Plagas. As a result, the organization‗s observation level for the Kijuju

Autonomous Zone is increased. A spy named Reynard Fisher is sent to Kijuju.

Monday, February 16, 2009 – Reynard Fisher reports that he has detected signs of Las Plagas, and it is

assumed that the Plagas are spreading.

Ryan consults chief intelligence analyst Mike about the Plagas. Mike casts doubt over its use, but Ryan

remains adamant.

Tuesday, February 17, 2009 – Ryan ponders about the use of Las Plagas, and decides to continue the

observation of Kijuju.

Wednesday, February 18, 2009 – Ryan writes another short report stating that no additional progress

has been made despite advancing the investigation and observation of Kijuju.

Thursday, February 19, 2009 – Reynard Fisher witnesses the presence of Ricardo Irving in Kijuju. He

promptly takes a picture and sends it to Ryan.

Friday, February 20, 2009 – The army of Kijuju arrives and quickly erects a wall around the Autono-

mous Zone.

In response to the photo of Irving sent by Reynard Fisher, Ryan investigates Irving‗s involvement.

At 21:47, Adam makes a blog post regarding the arrival of the army and the ensuing circumstances pre-

venting anyone in the zone to escape.

Page 60: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

Monday, February 23, 2009 – Ryan gives the information on Irving to Chris Redfield, and the West Af-

rican branch of the BSAA decides it wants to arrest Irving. Later that day, a virus is sent to the analyst‗s

computer, preventing them from doing any further work.

Tuesday, February 24, 2009 – Ryan gets his computer up and running again and it is clear that whoever

sent the virus knew about the BSAA‗s interest in Irving.

Late at night, Chris Redfield brings his own information to Ryan, revealing that Irving is holding a

B.O.W. transaction with American buyers on March 5 in a specific building. The West African Branch

requests to execute an independent operation, but .because the trading partners are Americans, because

there is a possibility of Irving having a connection to the incident here, because Mister Redfield obtained

this information and, above all, because of his burning desire to participate in the operation himself, this

will be a joint operation of the North American Branch and the West African Branch.

Wednesday, February 25, 2009 - Sheva Alomar is selected as Chris Redfield‗s partner for the operation

in Kijuju. Another SOA named M. Suzuki requests for the position, but she is denied due to her lack of

experience.

Thursday, February 26, 2009 – Ryan files a report on the events of the previous day and wonders about

the fact that parts of Sheva‗s profile are under strict non-disclosure. Meanwhile, a journalist with knowl-

edge of the BSAA‗s internal affairs makes a request to Ryan for information.

Friday, February 27, 2009 – At 02:15, Adam makes another blog entry, and Allyson disappears.

Friday, February 28, 2009 – Ryan notes that the term =Uroboros Plan‗ has been mentioned over the past

few days, and decides to investigate once the operation to arrest Irving is complete.

Tuesday, March 3, 2009 – Ryan learns that the West African branch of the BSAA does not see the op-

eration as bioterrorism, merely as an arrest. When the West African branch learned of Irving‗s latest deal,

they viewed it as illicit activity conducted on his own. As a result, their view was that the operation was

not to fight biological weapons, but to apprehend a smuggler involved in an illicit deal.

Meanwhile, Ryan also receives another request from the journalist, this time in reference to the Uroboros

Project. The rumor of this plan (a =doomsday project‗) has evidently spread to the public, and is no

longer a rumor among the BSAA only.

Thursday, March 5, 2009 – Alpha Team led by Dan DeChant arrives at the point where the transaction

between Irving and the American buyers is scheduled. Shortly after, the entire team is engulfed in a battle

against the Majini populace and is wiped out after Irving releases a sample of the Uroboros virus.

Chris Redfield arrives in Africa and meets Sheva Alomar in Kijuju. The operation begins in earnest.

The events of BIOHAZARD 5 begin.

The relay and support helicopter controlled by Kirk Mathison crashes. The operation headquarters de-

ploys the backup Delta Team led by Josh Stone. Irving releases the B.O.W. =Popokarimu‗, originally the

specimen that was to be sold in the transaction the operation was based upon, against Chris and Sheva.

Upon its defeat, Irving releases another B.O.W. known as =Ndesu‗, which wipes out Delta Team but is

Page 61: projectumbrella.netprojectumbrella.net/files/Chronology Of Evil_0.pdfsuke Nakagawa, Satoshi Yoshimatsu, Masachika Kawata, Reiko Hirano, Masaru Miyazaka, Studio Survive, Yasuhi-ro Seto,

also defeated by Chris and Sheva. Afterwards, Chris and Sheva head for the marshlands to investigate the

Tricell oil field and manage to catch Irving just before he leaves by boat. Upon meeting with Josh Stone,

the three depart by boat and eventually encounter Irving, who injects himself with a control Plaga.

Ryan worries over the operation.

Friday, March 6, 2009 – At 02:07 Adam writes a blog entry concerning the battle which broke out in the

public assembly area between the Majini crowd and Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar the day before,

having apparently been evacuated by Delta Team.

After destroying the transformed Irving, he leaves Chris and Sheva a cryptic clue and points towards a

nearby cave system. Josh Stone leaves to attempt to cancel the evacuation order and send backup while

Chris and Sheva investigate the caves, where they discover the origin of the Progenitor virus and the

abandoned Umbrella Africa Laboratory. Beyond it, they discover the secret Uroboros Laboratory built by

Tricell and encounter Albert Wesker and Jill Valentine. After a seven minute battle, Jill is freed from the

control of the P30 chemical, and Chris and Sheva pursue Wesker to a Tricell tanker.

Jill is awakened by Josh Stone and the pair fights their way through the Tricell facility in order to reach a

helicopter piloted by a BSAA member named Doug, who is killed in action. The two manage to reach the

helicopter and set off to assist Chris and Sheva.

Saturday, March 7, 2009 - Feeling her of no use to him anymore, Wesker infects Excella with the

Uroboros virus and she becomes a massive entity known as =Uroboros Aheri‗, and is narrowly destroyed

by Chris and Sheva. Chris and Sheva confront Wesker and inject him with the PG67A/W medicine, but

he takes off in the bomber plane preparing to launch the Uroboros missiles. In a close-quarters battle, the

plane begins to malfunction due to loss of pressure and crashes into a volcano. With his superhuman abili-

ties diminished, Wesker absorbs a large quantity of the Uroboros virus and a final battle commences

which ends with Wesker falling into lava, before finally being killed by Chris and Sheva.

At dawn, Chris Redfield, Sheva Alomar, Josh Stone and Jill Valentine escape via helicopter.

Sunday, March 8, 2009 – Ryan reports that information that was passed onto M. Suzuki to pass onto

Chris Redfield was in fact, never passed on. In reality, Suzuki is a Tricell agent. She cuts off contact with

the BSAA and disappears.

Monday, March 9, 2009 – Ryan realizes Suzuki‗s betrayal, and sees it as strike three in the things gone

wrong with the operation. He is assassinated by Suzuki at his desktop, and all of the data related to the

Kijuju operation is deleted.
