Tagname and comment The maximum length for tagnames is 20 characters

The maximum length for the comment is 40 characters

Reason: Field length in Alarm line and in the Faceplate

Status display The status of the objects is indicated with different color, flashing the or changing the symbol itself. The following rules are valid for normal Standard (key = 000). Other project versions may have different rules.

General rules

Grey color = off, not activated, undefined position

Green color = operating

Red color = fault = alarms (in case of messages)

Red flashing = unacknowledged fault

Yellow color = local mode = interlocking (in case of group/route/selection) = warnings (in case of messages)

Yellow flashing = local mode + running

Blue color = single-start mode

Blue flashing = single-start mode + running

Fault evaluation via Status-call-function in Group faceplate If an alarm is already acknowledged but still existing, the easiest method to find out what is wrong with the group is to carry out a status-call.

This can be done for a complete group or for a route only. For a group with routes the status call shows only the elements which belong to the selected route.

Object instance list in Group faceplate The object instance list can be called from the group or route faceplate and it shows all elements, belonging to a certain group or route.

The first time the information is read directly from the PLC.

The objects can be sorted according to the start sequence (useful for commissioning).

Save button will save the object instance list in the User Archive DriveList.

The object instance list also indicates the drives/annunciations with simulation or bypass (marked with red color).

Diagnostic Pictures The diagnostic pictures show detailed information about the corresponding object, such as

- Status of the interface flags (default and actual status)

- Status of the hardware inputs

- Process parameter values

- Status of the module outputs

- Enable and bypass functions

- Fault status

- Operating hours

The Process parameters can be modified from the diagnostic picture (if the operator has the right to do this). Every modification is written into the message archive.

Functions can be enabled/disabled in the diagnostic picture.

Beside the status of an interface, the detailed interlocking condition can be shown. This function needs additional engineering in the CFC. All interfaces where this function is available are marked with a blue dot.

Object Information (Info Dialog) The info dialog shows additional information to the object, like locations for the equipment itself, the I/O Panel and the MCC, the Plant Section etc.

A special field allows the operator to enter and to store remarks to the object.

Additional files such as MCC drawings, Manuals etc can be opened if they are configured.

Link to a video file possible

Picture information for loop-in-alarm function.

All information of the Info Dialog is stored in the User Archive C_INFO

Alarm Window The alarm window shows the operation list and the process alarms of a specific object

Color definition for the messages in CEMAT:

- Red color for Alarms

- Pink color for acknowledged alarms

- Yellow color for Warnings

- Light yellow for acknowledged warnings

- Green color for Outgoing Alarms/Warnings

- Blue (cyan) color for Operator input messages

CEMAT Alarm List An additional button key opens the CEMAT Alarm list which includes numerous filter functions. Selections can be made for:

- Archive type: Current, Long Term

- Message class: Alarm, Warning, Tolerance, AS Message, OS Message , Process Factory, Request Operator Input, Operator Input

- Plant Zone

- Tag

- Event

- Fault class

- Time period

The selection can be stored and recalled any time

Help function The help button opens the object documentation (pdf-file) in the selected language.

Function of the CEMAT Objects

C_GROUP Control block for starting/stopping and supervision of a plant section

- Start-up-warning

- Start command to all drives

- Supervision of feedback

- Quick-Stop

- Operation messages for start and stop

Selection of the operation modes for the plant objects:

- Automatic mode, single-start-mode or local mode

Fault supervision:

- Summarizing fault indication

- Status-call function

- Group instance list

C_ROUTE Control block for selecting and supervision of a “sub-group” (some elements of the group).

- The route selection does not start any drive, it only selects a number of drives, which will be started by the group.

- The selected route transmits the start/stop command of the group to the drives.

- Operation messages for select and deselect

Fault supervision:

- Summarizing fault indication

- Status-call function

- Group instance list

C_SELECT Selection block for simple selections (Flip-flop function)

Includes operation messages for select and deselect

Speed monitor can be bypassed

Process parameters for start delay, stop delay, feedback supervision, speed monitor supervision and start-up-warning time.

If a measure for motor current is assigned to the motor, the current value in % is shown in the faceplate of the motor and additional button allows to open the faceplate of the measure directly from the drive.

C_DAMPER Motor control for an actuator with two binary outputs and limit supervision for open and close position.

Can be switched to Automatic mode, single-start-mode or local mode

In Automatic mode it must be distinguished between control mode, inching mode and positioning mode.

- Control mode: Control from limit switch to limit switch

- Inching mode: Manual control through push buttons or via Faceplate to a middle position

- Positioning mode: Control to a certain position Set point can be given via faceplate or by an external controller

The block can be switched to simulation mode from the faceplate. The simulation value must be given in the CFC.

C_ANNUN8 The Annunciation block can be used for monitoring of up to 8 binary signals. 8 Alarms can be created.

Caution: The 8 alarms must be of a similar type (e. g. 8 rope switches of a belt conveyor) as the tagging system depends on chart name and instance name of the block.

- the read in value will be added to the old value

- the read in value will replace the old value

C_RUNNT The Runtime block is mainly used to provide operation time values for management information.

The drive functions already include a runtime counter. This block can be used for plant objects other than drives.

C_INTERL and C_INTER5 Blocks for indication of interlock conditions in the diagnostic picture

C_INTERL

- can be used for up to 10 Signals, connected by two AND/OR-Gates of 5 signals each

- uses 11 OS variables

C_INTER5

- can be used for up to 5 Signals, connected by one AND/OR-Gate
