FORME IN MOVIMENTOMOVING SHAPES

Lo sviluppo di Aquaform rappresenta bene il nostro approccio produt-

tivo e progettuale per quanto riguarda la collezione FORME IN MOVI-

MENTO, maniglioni, pomoli, battenti, maniglie e accessori per porte.

L’idroformatura mi aveva già appassionato anni fa, dopo averla vista in

altri ambiti produttivi. Nel 2008, cercando un procedimento più ecolo-

gico ed efficiente per produrre maniglioni in acciaio inox, affidammo

all’ufficio ricerca e sviluppo di OMPorro lo studio sull’idroformatura.

Supportati dall’Università di Brescia abbiamo progettato e ingegne-

rizzato l’impianto, mediante il quale, utilizzando acqua ad altissime

pressioni si “gonfia” un manufatto cavo in acciaio inox mantenendo la

sezione costante. E’ nata così la prima avanguardia di un nuovo filone

produttivo: la collezione Aquaform.

Sguardo attento alle novità tecnologiche, desiderio costante di migliorare le

modalità produttive: la storia di Aquaform rappresenta l’approccio produt-

tivo e progettuale per gli oggetti della collezione FORME IN MOVIMENTO.

Questi prodotti hanno un’importante valenza estetica e al tempo stes-

so sono sottoposti ad un uso molto intenso. Tecnologia e design van-

no sempre di pari passo nello sviluppo di complementi per l’arredo in

metallo, ma per quanto concerne questa collezione la tecnologia e le

performance di durata sono fondamentali. Per questo ci impegniamo

per migliorare oggetti così intensamente vissuti; da questa costante

azione di ricerca sono nate le finiture PVD, Aquaform e la nostra ultima

novità: la finitura battericida ed anti impronta sui maniglioni in acciaio.

The development of Aquaform well represents our production and de-

sign approach regarding the MOVING SHAPES collection.

Hydroforming was a production method that I had been passionate

about after seeing it on other production areas. Then in 2008, looking

for a more ecological and efficient process to produce stainless steel

handles, we asked the OMPorro research and development department

to study hydroforming. Supported by the University of Brescia, we have

designed and engineered the process, and subsequently the system, by

which a hollow stainless steel item is ‘inflated’ using water at very high

pressure, leaving the cross-section constant. The result was the first

pioneering new production line: the Aquaform collection.

Careful look at new technologies, constant desire to improve production

methods: the history of Aquaform is a good representation of our pro-

duction and design approach regarding the MOVING SHAPES collection.

These objects have significant aesthetic value and yet are subjected

to very intensive use. Technology and design always go hand-in-hand

in the development of metal furnishing accessories, but regarding the

MOVING SHAPES collection, technology and long-lasting performance

are essential. This is why we constantly strive to improve the quality of

these heavily-used objects; our research has led to the creation of the

PVD finishes, Aquaform and our latest innovation: the antibacterial and

fingerprint-resistant finishes on stainless steel handles.

BIOPROOF®

E’ provato che l’uso di detergenti, anche quotidiano, non assicura l’eliminazione dei batte-

ri dalle maniglie sebbene queste ultime risultino all’apparenza pulite.

OMPorro può fornire sui propri maniglioni in acciaio inox la finitura Bioproof® (un marchio

Adapta Color) che possiede un’efficace e testata protezione antibatterica.

La finitura funziona come biocida (uccide i batteri) attraverso il lento e continuo rilascio

di ioni d’argento. Bioproof® conferisce al prodotto anche la caratteristica “antitouch” in

grado di proteggere l’acciaio inox da impronte e macchie di sporco.

Certificato ISO 22196 e JIS Z 2801: 2000

La durata dell’azione biocida dipende dal metodo usato per inserire l’ingrediente attivo

(gli ioni argento) nella finitura.

Con Bioproof® l’ingrediente attivo è co-estruso insieme alla polvere, non semplicemente

mescolato, questo assicura una distribuzione uniforme degli ioni nel composto.

It has been proven that the use of detergents, even on a daily basis, does not ensure the elimination of bacteria on handles despite giving the appearance of a clean surface.

OMPorro can equip its stainless steel handles with Bioproof® finish (an Adapta Color tra-demark) which has an effective and tested antibacterial protection. Lacquering functions as a biocide (it kills bacteria) through the continuous release of silver ions. Bioproof® coating also gives the product the fingerprint-resistant properties that protect stainless steel from fingerprints and stains.

ISO 22196 and JIS Z 2801: 2000 CERTIFIED

The duration of the antibacterial effect depends on the methods used to hold the active ingredient within the lacquer. In Bioproof® the active ingredient is “coextruded” with the powder, not just dry mixed: this ensures an even distribution of the active ingredient in the lacquer.

In questo modo Bioproof® è:

• Resistente alle azioni di pulizia

• Resistente alla sostanze interferenti più comuni

(BSA, latte, lauryl sulphate)

• Ha un buon livello di trasparenza

• E’ attivo per almeno 15 anni.

La finitura si è dimostrata efficace nei confronti dei

principali ceppi batterici:

• staphylococcus aureus,

• pseudomonas aeruginosa,

• candida albicans,

• escherichia coli,

• enterococcus hirae.

I test (disponibili a richiesta) dimostrano che dopo solo

24 ore il composto distrugge i batteri con una percen-

tuale che va dal 99,5 al 100%.

La finitura Bioproof® è disponibile per tutti i prodotti in

acciaio inox.

Therefore Bioproof® is:

• Resistant to cleaning• Resistant to interfering substances (BSA, milk, lauryl

sulphate)• Preserves a good level of transparency;• Is active for at least 15 years.

This coating was proven effective for:

• staphylococcus aureus,• pseudomonas aeruginosa,• candida albicans,• escherichia coli,• enterococcus hirae.

Tests (available on request) show as within only 24 hours this mixture destroys the bacteria with a percen-tage from 99,5% to 100%.

Bioproof® coating is available for all the stainless steel products.

PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition)

PVD FINISH: HIGH VACUUM METALLIZATION TREATMENT

OMP PORRO S.p.A. was the first company to introduce PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) treatment for interior and exterior furnishing objects during the 1990s. The company experience is unparalleled in this type of process, supported by advanced technology and skills developed over the years.

PVD is a molecular deposition process under high vacuum conditions and at elevated temperature that was originally developed for aerospace applications. PVD-treated surfa-ce are exceptionally hard (HV 2800).

The substance to be deposited is vaporized from a source and the atoms are transported in the form of plasma to the piece to be coated, where they condense. The protective PVD coating is therefore highly compact.

PVD treatment provides an outstanding resistance to chemical and atmospheric agents, unlimited resistance against oxidation and an improved scratch resistance with respect to regular galvanized coatings.

OMP PORRO S.p.A uses HAUZER machinery, the best on the market, that provides deposition process of the duration at least 40 minutes, instead of 10 provided by others machineries.

FINITURA PVD: TRATTAMENTO DI METALLIZZAZIONE IN ALTO VUOTO

OMP PORRO S.p.A è stata la prima azienda ad introdurre negli anni ’90 il trattamento PVD

(Physical Vapour Deposition) negli oggetti di arredo per interni ed esterni. L’esperienza

aziendale è pressochè insuperata in questo tipo di processo, supportato dall’utilizzo di

tecnologie avanzate e dalle competenze sviluppate negli anni.

Il PVD è un processo di deposizione molecolare in condizioni di alto vuoto ad elevata

temperatura, nato in ambito aerospaziale. La superficie PVD ha durezza eccezionale (HV

2800).

La sostanza da depositare viene evaporata in forma di atomi da una sorgente e traspor-

tata come plasma fino al pezzo da ricoprire, dove condensa. Lo strato protettivo PVD è

perciò altamente compatto.

Il trattamento PVD conferisce un’elevatissima resistenza agli agenti chimici ed atmo-

sferici, illimitata resistenza all’ossidazione, e un potenziamento di 20 volte, rispetto ai

normali rivestimenti galvanici, della resistenza antigraffio.

OMP PORRO S.p.A utilizza i macchinari HAUZER, in assoluto i migliori sul mercato che

prevedono procedimenti di deposizione che durano almeno 40 minuti contro i 10 previsti

da altri macchinari.

I maniglioni hanno sistemi di fissaggio semplici ed efficaci per legno, vetro e alluminio.

KIT DI MONTAGGIO INCLUSO NEL PREZZO

In ogni confezione di maniglioni in acciaio inox ed ottone, battenti, maniglie e pomoli porta,

è fornito in dotazione, e incluso nel prezzo, il kit di montaggio.

Il kit di montaggio offerto consente molteplici possibilità di fissaggio, diverse a seconda del

tipo di prodotto (back to back, passante, ecc...) per i dettagli consultare il listino. Un apposito

sistema di fissaggio idoneo all’installazione dei maniglioni su serramenti in alluminio e’ di-

sponibile a richiesta. Tutti i maniglioni in acciaio inossidabile realizzati in tubolare sono forniti

con apposita bocchetta foro cilindro inclusa nella confezione. I maniglioni in acciaio inox della

linea AQUAFORM sono provvisti di attacchi per montaggio singolo (back to back - vetro).

FIXING KIT PROVIDED WITH THE PRODUCTThe mounting kit is included in each stainless steel and brass handles, knockers, door handles and knobs package.The kit provided allows multiple fixing options, depending on the type of product (back to back fixing, face fixing, etc...) for details see the price list catalogue. A special fixing system suitable for installation of pull handles on aluminum doors is available on request. All stainless steel pull handles are provided with a special escutcheon with cylin-der hole. Stainless steel pull handles AQUAFORM are provided with the fixing system (back to back - glass)
