University, Hiroshima University, Nagasaki University, Meio University)
The Program: The Chiang Mai Short-Term Study Programme is scheduled to take place on 17-27 September 2014 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It will offer students an excellent opportunity to learn comprehensively about some of the critical issues that affect peace and human security in Asia. There will be lectures as well as fieldtrips and also a two-day international conference, “An Agenda for Asia: Human Security, Conflict Management, Security Sector Reform and Local Democratization” organized by the Asian Political and International Studies Association (APISA) that will bring together additional experts and specialists from other parts of Asia to Chiang Mai. ALL lectures will be conducted in English.

Cost・費用
JUC-PAHSA will cover the cost of the flight to and from Chiang Mai. For accommodation: (1) those eligible for JASSO scholarship will be asked to cover their own (at a modest cost to use Chiang Mai University’s dormitory); for non-JASSO students accommodation will be covered by the PAHSA budget. Meals and other expenses (such as travel insurance) are to be paid by the student. To receive stipend/scholarship from JASSO you must be a Japanese national or a permanent resident permit holder.
