• Students registering for LMV course and having their country license above 5 years will register for 20 classes only and if country license is more than 2 years old, for 30 classes. • To register for Light Bus driving classes a student must have manual LMV license for 3 years or more. • Students who have their country license in Motor Cycle category can regsiter for 16 classes only and if they are coming from other driving school after failing in road test, can register for 8 motor cycle classes.

For a Beginner: • 2 copies of Passport with valid Dubai Residence Visa • Emirates ID card • 4 Photographs (Passport size). • Eye test by RTA authorised optical shop • No Objection Letter* from sponsor (Not required for people having professions that belong to the RTA approved profession list. Incase your sponsor is your husband or your father the passport copy of your sponsor is also required. Refer www.edi.ae for full details). 2. For students who have their country’s license: • 2 copies of Passport with Valid Dubai Residence Visa.• Emirates ID card • 4 Photographs (Passport size). • Original license of their country and copy of the same (If the license is not a computerised card in English or Arabic, affidavit from the country’s consulate is required). • No Objection Letter* from sponsor (Not required for people having professions that belong to the RTA approved profession list. Incase your sponsor is your husband or your father the passport copy of your sponsor is also required. Refer www.edi.ae for full details). 3. For students who have already opened their file in the Traffic Department and want to transfer it to EDI: • 1 copy of Passport with valid Dubai Residence Visa. • Emirates ID card • 3 Photographs (Passport size) • Valid learning permit and original traffic file from Traffic Department. • Letter from the institute stating the number of classes already taken. 4. For students who want to register for Shovel/Forklift/Heavy Truck/Heavy Bus: • 2 copies of Passport with Valid Dubai Residence Visa. • Emirates ID card. • 4 Photographs (Passport size). • No Objection Letter* • Medical fitness report is required for HVT only. *(Please Note: NOC letter should be addressed to RTA specifying the type of vehicle applied for in all above cases).
