Veinte años despúes,la ASAMBLEA GENERAL decidió que el 21 de septiembre de cada año se observara un¨día de cesación del fuego y de no violencia en todo el mundo¨.

E invitó a todos los Estados miembros,a las organizaciones y a todas las personas a conmemorar ese día.

Entre otras cosas mediante la educación y la sencibilización del publico,y a cooperar con las Naciones unidas en el establecimiento de un alto el fuego a nivel mundial.
