Additional DescriptionsAdditional Descriptions- MP3 (MPEG AUDIO LAYER-3)

MP3 is one of music file formats that can contain music with stereo sound quality as good as audio CD, which is atype of MPEG as audio, video compression standards. Compression rate is 1MB by 1 minute and thus about3~5MB are sufficient if recording songs of 3~ 5 min or so. Different from audio CD, a music file made of MP3 cancontain over 130 songs for popular songs or folk songs and playing time is also about 10 hours. MP3 removeshigh frequency which a human can not discernable, so it has advantage to compress it to 1/12 or so whilemaintaining sound quality equivalent to CD. The data capacity of a music CD is about 50MB, if it is compressed toMP3, then it's capacity becomes about 4~5MB.

- WMA (WINDOWS MEDIA AUDIO)WMA is a multimedia compression method developed by Microsoft Corporation and is the technology to compressonly music from 'Window Media Technologies'. It provides same sound quality as the format of MP3 of 128Kbpswith WMA of 64Kbps. In other words, it has the half file size compared with MP3 and provides same sound quality as MP3.

OperationOperation1. Make sure that speakers and input/output cables are properly connected before you plugged in the power.2. Set all volumes to the minimum position before you turn the power on.3. Be sure the AC power is correct voltage before you plug into the power cord.4. When the power button is pressed, the VFD displays and the unit is working.5. Adjust the each channel volume and the master volume.6. Adjust the mic channel EQ.7. Please refer to the CD / FM operation method or Set Up mode section for details.

13. PHANTOM POWER SWITCHThese switches turn the phantom power supply onor off for each channel. When the switch is pushed, +24V DC power issupplied to the pin 2 and the pin 3 of each XLRjack. Use phantom power when you connect acondenser microphone, which requires anexternal power supply. NOTE : It is safe to connect most modern dynamicmicrophones to the channel inputs when phantompower is activated. However, some older ribbon microphones may be damaged by phantom power, andcertain unbalanced line level devices may malfunction or produce an audible hum when phantom power isturned on. Use the phantom power only you use a condenser microphone. If you press the phantom power switch when the channel volume and master volume is at the high volumelevel, it may cause audible pop sound.

14. AUX INThis is the unbalanced input. This input can be used to connect a tape player or other sound sources. Input Level : -30dBV ~ +6dBV.

15. PRE/POST OUT PRE OUT : This is the unbalanced output. This output can be used to record the signal from the unit.

The output level is not controlled by the master volume.Output Level : 0dBV.

POST OUT : This is the unbalanced output. This output can be used to monitor the signal with a monitor amplifier. The output level is controlled by the master volume.Output Level : 0dBV.

16. MIC INPUT : CH1 - CH6 (or LINE INPUT)These inputs are suitable to receive signal from microphones. XLR inputs are balanced input. Input Level : -60dBV ~ -16dBV When other line level source is connected to one of these terminals, adjust the trim volume to -16dB position. The phantom switch must be off or not the line level source may be damaged.

17. INPUT GAIN CONTROLS (TRIM VOLUME)These are trim volumes of each mic inputs to control the input gain. When adjusting the input gain, make sure that the levels are not set too high, or not it may cause noisy ordistorted output.
