This week's Astrology with Laura Eisenhower

6/29/15

"This week has a lot of energies from Chiron the wounded healer, coming up. Chiron is where we need healing and Chiron triggers bring up deep emotional responses. It went into retrograde last week and so already, its influence is heightened as we look more inside of ourselves for healing. Tuesday Jupiter and Chiron forming a quincunx aspect. Chiron is in Pisces so we are healing wounds connected with trusting a greater power and our awareness of the unseen realms. We may struggle with the feeling that we are alone or disconnected and we may fear that our belief in a higher power is destined for failure because it might be delusional.

Jupiter, the largest of the known planets, is well known for its ability to make everything more exaggerated than it might otherwise be, when it is making challenging aspects. A quincunx calls for us make a major attitude adjustment if we are to successfully navigate the influence of Jupiter with Chiron. The basic role of a quincunx is to break down and remove negative attitudes that interfere with our ongoing growth.

Jupiter in Leo is creative, fun-loving, and self-expressive and with Jupiter, everything may need to be larger than life and we may wish that success is something we can attain without work and effort; we will need to remember that the steps that lead to success are often small, and that the process may occur with more grace and ease rather than drama and any extremes of over-inflated feelings of entitlement, by just handling things one day at a time. We will need to work on embracing the processes that are needed to get there, the kind that need our extra attention so that we can heal any fears related to lack of trust in how things are falling into place. The trust will be more about what we sense internally rather than what we can perceive through our senses.

We don't want to pretend to believe in something that isn't real yet, but more heal our inner child and what it takes to get there; the inner child who needs compassion and acceptance along the way because it is frightened, so that we can begin to develop more faith in what we are creating and working on achieving, until it makes sense for us to fully believe in what we are putting out there. It is a step by step healing process about believing in ourselves and in the support from higher energies that are not fully visible.

This Chiron theme continues through other aspects this week -- a Venus-Chiron quincunx on Tuesday, and a Mercury-Chiron square on Friday.

On Wednesday, we have a Sun-Neptune trine which is a harmoniously flow of energy between the planet of mulit-dimensional energy and the creative imagination (Neptune) and how that works with our essence as creator beings (Sun). We will feel expanded in new ways and it will assist us with the challenges from Chiron, since Neptune rules Pisces which Chiron is in.

We also have Venus conjunct Jupiter, which is a great combination of energies. The planet of love and beauty shares energy with the planet of abundance, inspiration and expansion. With all the challenging aspects that are going on, this will be really good energy to fill up with and fully tap into, to help us through some of the rough patches that we might experience. We should feel our hearts fill up and our relationships should feel really wonderful and in some area of our life, we will feel very filled up on a love level and focusing on self-love will be important.

With Mars squaring the Moon's Nodes on Wednesday, the universe is also challenging us to move away from the mistaken belief that we have to do it all by ourselves (South Node in Aries). With the North Node in Libra and Mars in Cancer, we will need to learn ow to allow others to assist us and not be so resistant to the feelings of being vulnerable, cause we can't do it all ourselves. There is much in front of us that we are not meant to tackle alone.

The Full Moon on Wednesday is conjunct Pluto in Capricorn, and the Sun is conjunct Mars in Cancer. The Sun, Moon, and Mars are all square the Nodes. Uranus contributes some energy to the mix, being widely square Pluto right now. This may be quite challenging, but with the other harmonious and positive aspects, it may be just what we need to help us move through this and move through the stuff that may otherwise hold us back or throw us into chaotic feelings. Inspiration is in the air and positive direction is available to us, which is great if we are starting to feel ourselves shut down or go into overwhelm. Keep being open to inspiration and the positive flow and your ability to co-create.

Any time the Moon's Nodes are strongly involved, it is a time for resolving certain karmic issues. The issues we may be working with at this Full Moon include control and acceptance, and hiding our feelings vs. allowing them to do their work of transformation as we express them. We may be trying to work on independence and then wonder where we need more community of team effort.

Thursday Mercury receives support from Uranus, which gives us access to great insight and epiphanies and then Friday, Mercury receives a challenging square from Chiron, so we may be struggling with our words and bringing out more of our thoughts and feelings to those around us; we may run into some fears too, but often when we bring attention and expression to our fears, they begin to not have such a hold on us.

Mercury receives supportive aspects from Jupiter on Friday and then Venus on Sunday, so we should be feeling more of a positive flow, and great encouragement after we moved through certain wounds or resistances during the week; we may feel like we are on the other side of much of it and so from here on, we will want to just manage it, as Chiron stays retrograde and keeps pulling us into a deep internal healing process. This week is a strong mixture of challenges and a lot of harmonious and good energy, so integrate it as medicine and allow yourself to become more whole and balanced."

Pepperminthas been used by the Egyptians, Romans, and down through the ages. It grows in Australia, Europe, and North America.
