Body (SFMB) is based on academ-ics, character development andpersonal health and wellness.

“We believe that charactereducation, nutrition and exercise areequally as important as reading,writing and arithmetic,” Owner/Cre-ator Nanci Canine said.

Nanci Canine was on an air-plane with her husband when shewas inspired to create a school.

“I grabbed a napkin and wrotedown a basic business plan,” shesaid of the event which led to the2005 creation of A School for theMind and Body. their parents. The Learning Unit will cover

the letters L.O.V.E. Our Nutrition Unit will bededicated to discussing ways to love ourbodies through healthy food choices. Finally,children will learn ways to show love to theirbodies through exciting games and physicalactivities during the Exercise Unit. Each con-cept will also be taught and applied throughart projects, dance, drama and story.”
