Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Duties:● Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on

engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

● Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

● Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.

● Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

● Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.

● Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

● Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

My profileMy full name is Diego Andrés Fernández Vargas. I am 18 years old, I live in Bosa

neighborhood, I am from Bogotá, Colombia. I went to Brasilia Bosa high school. I graduated in 2014.I am currently studying industrial machinery mechanic at SENA. I am in second quarter term, I study from 6:00 a.m through 6:00 pm. My schedule is on Mondays: collection of technical information for the machine, then I study is on Tuesday ethics and hydraulics, in Wednesday I study machining and Friday I study welding, electronic, physical Culture and english. My favorite class is machining because I like welding and repairing gadgets and devices, In the near future I plan to work for and important company. I would like to work as industrial engineer. I don’t mind working shifts. I can stand heavy and challenging positions. I consider myself creative, friendly, easy going, open to challenging jobs and ready to work in difficult areas, I am very organized and I like to work under high pressure environments, I can work in any field related to industrial maintenance. I want to get specialized in electrical/mechanized/ computirized/automatized engines.
