• The range of physical activities and the different roles that the active participate can choose from.
Section 3.1.2
• Linking physical activity with diet, work, and rest for personal health and a balanced healthy lifestyle.
Section 3.1.3
• Making informed decisions about getting involved in a lifetime of healthy physical activities that suit their needs

Health & Fitness• You have no colds or flu, aches or pains
and you can run a mile in six minutes.

What is Health
• Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
Physical Activity helps….
• Your physical well being.
• Your mental well being.
• Your social well being.
What is Fitness
• Fitness is the ability to meet the demands of the environment.
The Link between Health & Fitness
• Close link.
• You can’t be healthy without being fit enough to meet the demands of your environment.
• However, it possible to be fit but not healthy!!!
