PHRASAL VERBS
Verbs followed by one or more prepositions or particles and can have meanings completely different to the original verb they accompany.
1.End up: achieve, make and decideExample: We ended up going to my house instead of going to the school.
2. Eat out: Eat in a restaurantExample:There wasn’t anything to eat at home, so we decided to eat out.
3. Put out: to extinguish, to stop something from burning.
Example: The firemen managed to put out the fire very quickly. Because the fire is not so strong.
4. Save up: Is to keep money so that you have enough to buy something in the future.
Example: I am saving up money for buy a apartment.
5. Sleep in: To sleep late on purposeExample: On Sunday I can sleep in because I don´t have to go to work.
6. Split up: Mean to end a marriage or romantic relationship.
Example: My parents split up when I was just a girl.
7. Warm up: prepare the body for exercise
Example: It is important to warm up your body before any physical activity.
8. Sing in: check inExample: We must sing in when we arrive to the hotel.
9. Catch up: It will reach; to catch upExample: The teacher told me than have to study very hard if I wanted to catch up of my classmates on your level of English.
10. Cheer up: If someone tells you to 'cheer up' they want you to become happier.
Example:
She cheered up when she knew she had passed all matter of descriptive statistics.
