PHYSICS INVESTIGATORY PROJECT ON
KIRCHHOFF’S VOLTAGE LAW
Kirchhoff’s laws are a brilliant reflecAon of fundamental laws like conservaAon of charge and energy in the context of electrical circuits. Kirchhoff’s Voltage law (KVL) states that the algebraic sum of the potenAal differences in a closed circuit must be zero. To verify this law, we will make a circuit in which mulAple LEDs and a
resistor is connected in series. When the circuit is complete, the voltage is measured across each LED and resistor through a mulAmeter. It was observed that on adding the individual voltages across each component, the sum is approximately equal to the baRery voltage (Source). This establishes the KVL.
