Pilar Plaza (Plaza del Pilar) and Cathedral Plaza (Plaza de la Seo)
These two squares form a vast esplanade parallel to the River Ebre and are the setting for Zaragoza's main monuments. Our Lady of the Pillar and Cathedral of San Salvador. They are also a popular evening meeting point for the locals, and where pilgrims gather during the Pilar religious festival.
The fountain at the far west end, the Spanish Heritage Fountain (Fuente de la Hispanidad), represents Latin America. The other fountain in front of the La Lonja (Stock Exchange) is dedicated to Goya.
