KAIZUKADATA MAP
Designed after the leaf of the pine tree, the Hime-matsu, which grows in Kaizuka. The five pine needles symbolize the tight bond between the five towns and villages that had united to form Kaizuka city. At the center of the symbol are the artistic images of the ocean waves and the kanji character "貝 (kai)" from Kaizuka.

Hiking trail Mt. Izumi Katsuragi(beech)This is the natural forest designated as a natu-ral treasure in 1923. Nowadays, because of the warming and the construction of the forest road, the growth of young trees is decreasing. Therefore the preservation efforts have been conducted by citizens and officials.
To reach the top of the mountain from the city, take the bus from Mizuma Kannon s t a t i on o f t h e Mizuma railways to the Sobura stat ion. Fol low the mountain trail signs and walk about 10 minutes before reaching the branch of the K a s u g a b a s h i route (A course) and Biwadaira route (B course).
