When Adding a New Slide...

• When adding slides, you need to use layouts to place your text and objects on the slide. If you want to draw your own objects or insert a picture that is going to take up the whole slide, use the Blank Slide option.

• Use the Insert > New Slide or the New Slide button on your toolbar. Use the Task Pane to choose a layout.

Slide Sorter ViewSlide sorter view in

PowerPoint is a window that displays thumbnail

versions of all your slides, arranged in

horizontal rows. This view is useful to make

global changes to several slides at one time. Rearranging or

deleting slides is easy to do in Slide Sorter view.

Changing your Background...

Right-click on a blank area of the slide and choose Background from the shortcut

menu. Alternatively, you can select

Format > Background from the menu to bring up the

Background Color dialog box.

If your slideshow has ONE color...for EVERY slide...YES, it WILL

get Boring... There’s nothing fun about watching one color... OVER

and OVER again....

Getting Animated!!• Animation refers to the

movement and sound accompanying text or slides as they are introduced. Using animation with your bulleted lists and slides can often add excitement to your presentation by displaying text at crucial moments and making smooth transitions between topics. You can use preset animations or customize the animation to achieve the desired result.

• Sounds of all sorts can be added to a PowerPoint . You may wish to play a track from a CD or insert a sound file into your presentation. Sound files can be chosen from the Microsoft Clip Organizer within the program, or a file that resides on your computer. Recording a sound or a narration to help illustrate the features on your slides, is also one of the

options.

Adding music to your presentation...

PowerPoint Viewer

WARNING: You CANNOT make a PowerPoint off of this!

PowerPoint Viewer 2007 lets you view full-featured presentations created in PowerPoint 97 and later

versions. This viewer also supports opening password-protected Microsoft PowerPoint

presentations. You can view and print presentations, but you cannot edit them in the

PowerPoint Viewer 2007. (Just view shows...Which is kinda stupid. Who would

have a viewer without the program itself?)
