    {On 10-02-11 I was working a marked patrol unit as 3E23. At 2326 hrs I

was dispatched to 17 Boylston Av to investigate shots fired. I respondedand at 2327 hrs the call was updated that someone was shot and down on the

ground in front of this address.

Officers Jones and Hairston arrived first. Officer Hairston found the

victim laying on the front stoop of 17 Boylston Av. She immediatelychecked him for injuries and found two gunshot wounds to his abdomen.

Officer Hairston began to render first aid.

Officer Jones began speaking to people who had gathered in the area to

identify any witnesses. When I arrived I spoke to the victim,

. V/ told me he was walking on the sidewalk nearby when amale, unknown to him walked up, pointed a gun at him and said, "Give me

your money." V said he told the suspect "No" and the suspect shothim twice. V then ran to the front of 17 Boylston Av where hecollapsed on the front porch. V/ described the suspect as a whitemale, 30, skinny, 5-07 with brown hair and a blue and white shirt like a

Seahawks jersey. The suspect had a black colored revolver. V said the suspect did not take anything.

Several people heard the shot and called 9-1-1 (See listed Complainants).

I spoke to three people waiting on the sidewalk in front of 17 BoylstonAv. W/ said he was in his apt across the street (17 Boylston Av when he heard a pop. He then came out and saw the victim lying on theporch across the street. He did not see the suspect.

W/ said he was further north on the west side of Boylston Av in the1700 blk when he heard the shot. He saw the victim run toward 17

Boylston Av and saw another male running S/B on Boylston Av. W/ said it was too dark for him to see the suspect well enough to give a

description. W/ said he heard the shot and came out to see. He didnot see the suspect.

Officer Hairston spoke to W/ W said she saw a newer redChevy Blazer in the parking lot on the south side of 17 Boylston Av.Right after the shots were heard the blazer drove slowly through the

parking lot then left S/B on Boylston Av. W heard 1 - 2 shots.

W said he heard the shots then saw a black male in his 20's, 5-09with a light colored short wrapped around his head and wearing silver

basketball shorts and a white t shirt running W/B on Olive St.

Witnesssaid she heard 1 shot then heard moaning. A red or orangeHonda Element then exited the south parking lot of 17 Boylston Av and

left going S/B on Boylston Av.

V/ was a friend of V and was with him during thisincident. She said they were walking S/B on Boylston near the south end of

the building at 17 Boylston Av (west sidewalk) when the suspect, whoeither came out from the south parking lot or was hiding behind the

dumpsters, suddenly appeared in front of them. She said he had a medium to

large sized dark revolver in his right hand and was holding it near his

waist while pointing it at them. The suspect told them to drop the wallet

and drop the purse then added, "Do it and I am serious". She said

V tried to run away and got shot. She said V ran intothe street and the suspect ran S/B on Boylston Av but he veered over to the

east sidewalk as he ran. V/ then ran back to the west sidewalk andonto the front porch of 17 Boylston Av. V/ described thesuspect as a white male 20-30 yrs of age, 5-07 - 5-09, 155#, slim build

wearing a dark hoodie with the hood up and dark pants possibly sweats.

SFD responded and rendered aid to the victim. Medic One transported him to

HMC for further treatment. When I last checked he was in surgery with life

threatening injuries. Sgt Dietrich and Capt Emerick (Car88) responded to

the scene. Sgt Dietrich screened this incident with Sgt Worstman of

Homicide and Sgt Aratani of Robbery and they did not respond. After the victim was transported from the scene SFD medics showed me a

bullet that had been under the victim on the porch. I took photos of the

porch and the scene where V said the robbery occurred. OfficerJones then collected the bullet and the victim's clothes for evidence.

Officers in both East and West Pcts scoured the area for the suspect but

    did not locate him.
