space intended for a bike shelter and storage. The access and distribution divides the building in two columns of unit spaces. The entrances of the building and the living units are facing south, but the planning of the orientation and orga-nization of the space are in charge of the user´s desire. The building not only allows for living spaces but also for common facilities, as laundry room, sauna, storage or common dining spaces. ARA HOME is in charge to decide how to distribute this spaces. The building system also allows for the spaces to be rented to companies, offices, shops; but this building was planned for the residential use.

Each storey consists of two living units. With this system and the flexibility of the distribution of the plans, has presented the problem of the wet walls, wet areas and tubbing. The space is arranged so the wet wall is along a line and all of the concerning objects should be placed within this area, leaving the remaining are for every-thing else. The 9,5m by 9,5m space is surrounded by a 1m guard, so when not used, the space is an exterior one.The plans presented are mainly for demonstration purposes.

This project was intended as a concept of what future housing might offer.

So it's difficult for the user to identify with his house, as it wasn't designed with his personal needs in mind. That is what my study and design was based on. How to create a space that fills fits the user, can evolve as he needs to, and can be built in a big scale.

The building is situated in a central area of the site, with excellent accessibility. The project presented is a system with a free plan, where there is a grid on the floor where to place pre-fabricated plans. The pre-fabricated panels consist of a long variety of panels, including the simple wall, doors, windows, screens, counters, etc. The grid consists of a multiplication of 0,5 m by 0,5 m spaces, presenting a big multitude of possibilities. The panels allow for a very fast assemble/ disassemble.

This allows for the user to work together with the architect to design a space from scratch. And it's also pos-sible, if the user needs to, to change his current plan, for example to add an extra room or bathroom. So the system allows for the living unit to be planned as the user intend to, and adapt if needed.

The six storey building is presented as a hard concrete structure, with no storey planned. The grid then allows for the planning of the living unit as the user rents the space. The site plan presents parking space as well as a playground for the children with resting area. All surrounded by garden. The ground floor consists of the main entrance of the building, with waiting area and storage of mail, and one

space intended for a bike shelter and storage.
