› objective Create a full bleed brochure with text wrap and high quality images
› process I developed an idea for a company then created the logo in Illustrator.
Then took the logo into InDesign and began to work through the challenges of creating a sail shaped brochure. The solution I came up with was sail shaped flaps folding into a hexogonal center panel.

These are a few logo ideas that I worked on during the class and a couple I did for clients in the past. I did three logos for the class using exclusively Illustrator, while the other two were a combination of Illustrator and PhotoShop.

Out of the logos that I did for this project, I chose the ViVid logo and created a stationary set using InDesign for the layout.
I was interested in the repetition of components of the logo and used different pieces to create a water mark and background items

This was the first full project I had done solely using Illustrator so I really felt the challenge.
I started with sketches of the general idea, then converted everything intovector graphics using Illustrator.
The flow of the piece was a challenge, but I think I was able to create a visual flow that delivered the message in a fun and interesting way.

For the photo design assignment, I shot a photo that was intended to capture a feeling of nostagia.
The page idea was for an imaginary magazine that would be targeted towardseniors and would accompany an article about remembering old times.

Since I have recently been hired by this company I chose to do the mock up for it's web site.
I was motivated to make it look better than what they currently have.
Using graphics that I lifted from their current site, I re-imagined the look and feel with more elegant colors and simpler navigation

Working with a friend who is a professional photographer I got the the extreme contrast for the photo of my face by using spectral lighting.
I interested in the idea of two faces and made up an article title that would work with the split lighting.
I used the actual Interview logo in red to make the black and white background more stark.
The call outs and the headers were intended to make the cover pop and grab the readers attention.

This was the first time I had used Prezi, so I had to get familiar with how it worked and how to integrate pre-designed images into the presentation.
I created an infographic based on a diet that I was trying, and worked it into a Prezi presentation that stepped through the special features of the diet.

For this exercise I started with a quote that I liked and modified it slightly to work for my graphic.
I then started to sketch and browse ideas when I was struck by a piece by M.C Escher that shows the artist looking at his own reflection in a silver ball. With this as my guide, I found a couple of images that I thought captured the idea of the quote, and mixed them into a montage.

I was called by Slick's to help create a label for their product that was going on the market for the first time.
They had no logo and no previous look so the field was wide open. Because it was a BBQ sauce it seemed right to do something with flames and colors that reflected the nature of the product.
In the design I had to incorporate the label requirements, includingingredients, recipes and tips, and the bottle dimensions.

I started with Protocall doing video work and was asked if I could help with some marketing materials.
Over the next few years, I created marketing materials, including print andonline material for this client.

Part of the marketing job for any company is internal, for ProtoCall the goal was to show their consolers the faces of those they worked with and topromote a healthy work environment.
These posters were built around a campaign the focused on the ProtoCall promise which was core to their business both internally and client facing.
These posters were to be hung in the entrances to their offices to greet em-ployees and visitors.

This client was a regular trade show participant, so we made banners that could be set up together or seperately depending on the size of the show.
Each panel has a stand alone message but can coordinate withany other panel.
