Electrically conductive and anti-static wheels and castorsAn electrical conductivity feature may be required when utilising wheels and castors e.g. in the Ex-area, dust-free rooms or in medical technology.

This is why the wheels and castors may not exceed an electrical contact resistance of 104 (10,000) ohms in accordance with DIN EN 12527 and DIN EN 12533. The electrical resistance is deÞ ned as 5 x 107 ohms for the deÞ nition of "antistatic".

The materials used are rubber, thermoplastic rubber, polyurethane and polyamide.

Special additives are added to the wheels to obtain the required degree of conductivity.

On request we can also manufacture wheels and castors in steel and cast iron in a conduc-tive execution.
