Preparing the Christian soldier

This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,

1 Timothy 1:18

  Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to

stand against the schemes of the

By guarding it according to your

word.10 With my whole

heart I seek you;let me not wander from

your word in my heart,that I might not sin

against you.

But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
