Roman is situated in the center of Moldavia, in the North-East of Romania, at the confluence of the rivers Moldova and Siret.

It has a population of 70000 inhabitants and its main domains of economic development are public services, the metallurgical industry, manufacturing and food industry.

Dimitrie Cantemir stated about our city that it was founded in the times of the Emperor Traian and it was certified six

centuries ago for the first time. It has a great historical and cultural past.

The main touristic attractions are:

The Episcopal Cathedral “Preacuvioasa Parascheva” in the center of the city built in 1542 by the ruler Petru Rares .

We have a beautiful park that is unique in Europe due to its diversity of plants and trees. There is also a lake and a special place with lots of statues of our great Romanian writers.

A brief history 1951 was born the school of vocational qualifications under the

patronage of the “Ilie Pintilie” sugar factory from Roman 1974 The vocational school turns into The food industries high

school On September 1975 we used for the first time our new building, a

gym and a canteen with the capacity of 150 seats

In 1977 the new name of our school is The industrial High school no4, and in 1990 it was called The Industrial School Group of FoodIndustries

The high school evolution was spectacular: at the beginning ourhigh school had 17 classrooms with 537 pupils guided by 22 teachersand in 1990 it had 41 classrooms, 1204 pupils and 47 teachers andnow it has 51 classrooms, 1408 pupils and 86 teachers

Our high school continues its upward trajectory, becoming THETECHNICAL COLLEGE DANUBIANA, from 2004

Along the years the “Danubiana” Technical College Roman hassucceeded in creating, with the help of some valuable people, theimage of a school which offers, together with a distinguishededucation, the perspective of the pupils’ personal development and ofits graduates’ social and professional integration.

The greatest college in the north of Moldavia isrecognized as being one of the choice school in the area, a school whichhas achieved fame and tradition in the field of food industryspecializations which are unique in the county. The social identity ofour educational institution has been built along the years withcontribution of the valuable teachers and the good image that it haswithin the local communities proved by the competition that hasexisted at the high school entrance examination every year.
