What is EUMeTrain?

EUMeTrain is a cooperation of 6 European National Meteorological Services to provide mainly online training in the field of satellite meteorology.

EUMeTrain focuses on the provision of online training material and training courses complementing EUMETSAT’s satellite programmes.

EUMeTrain addresses to forecasters, students, and professionals in meteorology.

Activities and Orientation in the new phase of EUMeTrain: 2014 – 2019

One of its goals:

Support the SAFs in their training activities

by creating and publishing training materials:

presentations, case studies, product tutorials etc.

Increased number of training events are expected with the new generation satellites, with the new instruments.

There will be increased need for training.
