Abstract

This research project aims to improve the manufacturing process of the washing machine. Operation step

consist of the study of production processes. After analyzing the current problems we found the

production capacity is not sufficient to support the project in the next process or bottlenecks in process. After analysis using flow charts, we found the process steps are not necessary, have been waiting, how

to work hard, transportation distance is too far, are often the work piece and the main equipment in the production of high value. Proposed a technique to improve the engineering and production line balancing.

The result of the update found around the bottleneck positions, reduced 36 second or 39.1 percent, the number of employees in the production reduced 2 people and improve the capacity increase of 64.3

percent.
