Kewarganegaraan Global di Perguruan Tinggi untuk Membentuk Wawasan
Global Mahasiswa (Studi Pada Prodi PPKn UNESA)” ini beserta seluruh

ABSTRAK
Memasuki abad 21, setiap negara di dunia akan menghadapi berbagai
permasalahan global yang perlu ditangani oleh setiap negara dengan serius.
Berbagai permasalahan global yang saat ini marak terjadi diantaranya
meningkatnya interdependensi dan daya saing antar negara, kekerasan dan
perang antar etnis, terorisme terorganisir, kerusakan lingkungan dan dampak
negatif dari pesatnya teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Maka, diperlukan
upaya untuk memberikan pemahaman dan kompetensi global generasi muda
sebagai bekal warga kontemporer saat ini. Pembentukan warga global melalui
pendidikan dapat melalui pendekatan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan Global.
Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan implikasi program pendidikan
kewarganegaraan global terhadap pengembangan aktivitas mahasiswa global,
pengembangan lingkungan pembelajaran global serta implikasi terhadap
pengembangan kurikulum global. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Program
Studi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Universitas Negeri Surabaya
dengan subjek penelitian Dosen dan Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan
Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yakni
pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa program tersebut berimplikasi pada pengembangan
aktivitas mahasiswa global yang dikembangkan di dalam dan luar kelas ,
pengembangan lingkungan fisik dan non fisik pembelajaran global serta
rekonstruksi kurikulum baru dengan lebih menempatkan isu global sebagai isu
bersama. Pengembangan tersebut berdampak pada pembentukan pengetahuan
dan pemahaman global, ketrampilan global serta nilai dan sikap global
mahasiswa.
Kata Kunci : pendidikan kewarganegaraan global, mahasiswa, wawasan

ABSTRACT
Entering the 21st century, every country in the world will discuss various
global issues that need to be seriously discussed by each country. Various
global problems that occur at this time occur because of interactions between
countries and competitiveness between countries, defense and war between
countries, terrorism organized, environmental damage and the negative impact
of the development of information and communication technology. Therefore,
efforts are needed to provide the understanding and global competence of the
younger generation as a provision at this time. The formation of global citizens
through education can be through Global Citizenship Education. This study
discusses the implications of the global citizenship education program on the
development of global student activities, the development of a global learning
environment and the implications for the development of a global curriculum.
The location of the study was carried out in the Study Program of Pancasila
and Citizenship Education, the State University of Surabaya with the subject of
research by Lecturers and Student Programs in the Study of Pancasila and
Citizenship Education. Research studies used on qualitative research with case
study design. The results of the study indicate that this program has
implications for the development of global student activities developed in and
outside the classroom, the development of the physical and non-physical
environment of global learning and the development of new curricula by
publishing more global issues as joint issues. This development has an impact
on the formation of global knowledge and understanding, global skills and the
values and attitudes of global students.
