Message from Phyllis Furumoto, Lineage Bearer
Together we may take one or more giant steps to preserve this system from being lost in the
flurry of internet information; together we may give back to the system that has brought us to
places within ourselves, sometimes saving our very lives; together we may leave something
behind for future generations, a heritage seed that will flourish in regenerative and
environmental consciousness.
Join me in passion and in commitment to the gift that has fallen as a miracle into our lives. We
have made something of this gift, ourselves. The time has come to extend this gift to our future
generations and to those around us.
This journey began through the steps of a diligent and courageous
Japanese man named Mikao Usui, continued through the inspired
clinical work of Chujiro Hayashi, and brought to the present throughthe passionate dedication of Hawayo Takata. These people are known
as the spiritual lineage of Usui Shiki Ryoho. They brought what we
know today as Reiki through decades of cultural upheaval, war, and
their personal dedication that sometimes looked like sacrifice.
As the current lineage bearer, I have been pondering the future of this
system; of its contribution to alleviating the suffering in the world andthe healing of individuals as well as cultural challenges.

Our mission is to establish the physical foundation for the advancement
and continuance of Usui Shiki Ryoho and, in doing so, support and
enhance the global Reiki Community.
Our vision is to establish a business that will benefit naturally from a
regenerative relationship with Usui Shiki Ryoho and will, in turn, provide
financial stability for the community and the system itself. Financial
stability will provide security on many levels for the preservation and
continuation of Usui Shiki Ryoho supporting the global Reiki Community.

Proposal for realization of the vision
The Reiki Home and Retreat will be designed for sustainable land use and regenerative
community building, operating in accordance with Usui Shiki Ryoho principles and values.
A rare opportunity has arisen at Kenyon Ranch Retreat, a 92.5 acre property in the Santa
Cruz River Valley, nestled amongst the mystical mountains, called Sky Islands by the
indigenous tribes. The site includes an existing viable Retreat business alongside a partly
developed site suitable for the building of the Reiki Home accommodation, meeting and
communication center, and office/archive.
Reiki Foundation International, the non-profit trustee for assets associated with Usui Shiki
Ryoho, is calling for a total of $6,000,000 in contributions to acquire the Kenyon Ranch
property; construct the Reiki Home; upgrade existing facilities at the Ranch, and create a
reserve fund that will provide income for on-going support of the system and assurance that
the Reiki Home and Retreat is financially stable.

Questions?
How can I learn more about this project?
Please see the web site of the Reiki Home project: www.reikihome.org
How will I benefit?
The benefits are on all levels of investment. It is an investment in Usui Shiki Ryoho, to further ensure futuregenerations will have access to the system as you know it today. As a Reiki student, you will be able toparticipate in online workshops and listen to broadcasts. The events at the Reiki Home will be offered atcost, which means that the fees you pay will be the actual costs of the stay without profit being targeted.
How can I contribute?
You can contribute money. This is needed to buy the property, renovate portions for the best use of theproperty, begin a reserve fund for future capital projects and security of the operations, and to start thebuilding on the Reiki Home. The buildings will be done with volunteer labor. If you are skilled, you couldcontribute your hands and time. There is also volunteer unskilled labor needed, as well as other tasks thatcould be done from your home. You could send Reiki and participate in volunteer service projects. The list isendless!
Can I contact someone?
Of course! Please email us at [email protected]. We will respond.
