Expected Impact SiSOB
I1. To provide insight into the dynamics of the
European science and research system and
the ways in which research outputs, at
individual researcher level, are measured and
evaluated
SO1, SO3 and SO4, together with the other
specific objectives the project, will provide a
powerful tool to observe on-line with different
relationships how research result are used and
understood in different levels of the society and,
with this data, measure and evaluate the
researcher activity.
I2. To encourage analysis on how the European
science and research system impacts on and
interacts with society-at-large, with a view to
building an open, effective and democratic
European knowledge society
Al the specific objectives of the proposal are
focused to maximise the impact of the project in
this way. We see the “society-at-large” represented
in the WWW and we offer models and methods to
put it in order to understand the role of European
Science in this world.
I3. To provide policy solutions on how this system
can be enhanced and improved in order to
improve the governance of the European
Majority of case studies proposed in SO4 try to
give answer to some concerns about the European
Research Area that declare in their green paperimprove the governance of the European
research and innovation system
Research Area that declare in their green paper
their interest on the mobility of researchers and
effective knowledge sharing, two case studies
included as focus of the work of this project.
