Highlights:
The week started with snow and ended with a wonderful brunch.
6th graders had a great time at the Cradle of Aviation Museum to experience a Women
of NASA conference. Students followed the workshop with a tour of the history of
flight.
The 5th Grade Bake Sale was a huge success as our bakers and salesmen collected over 1500 dollars to
support families in need this holiday season. Way to go 5th grade and thanks to all for your donations.
Tuesdays’ Islanders Visit was great with a focus on Teambuilding and being a good teammate.
Kindergarteners enjoyed their 1st play experience at the Elmont Library with Frosty and Friends.
Band and Chorus rehearsals were sounding great and its hard to believe we are only a day away from the big show..
Buddy Classes enjoyed making Ginger Men with Pre-K this week.
4th graders enjoyed a STEM experience with all the right ingredients to take on the 4H challenge.
Saturday’s PTA Holiday Brunch had a Charlie Brown Christmas and Pajama theme. Visitors
included Snoopy, Frosty, and the big guy himself, Santa.
We thank all of our parent volunteers and the PTA executive crew for putting on such a wonderful
Holiday Brunch.
