art director: James Schuler

web designer: James Schuler

I learned HTML in the 90s working in the web development department at

a famous glass church in Garden Grove, CA, and have been in love with the

craft ever since. I now teach web design at CollegeAmerica, Denver cam-

pus. I’ve done websites for business and retail; churches and nonprofits;

real estate professionals and builders; movies and music.

I have a healthy dose of experience with an assortment of email marketing

programs and software, including CMS systems.

Print

art director/designer: James Schuler

I’ve been designing for offset print operations since

the late 1980s. I’ve designed covers and layouts for

newspapers and magazines; business stationary and

packaging; specialty items and digital media; book

covers and workbooks; glass appliques and tradeshow

signage; posters and postcards.

One offset print operator said I’m the only designer

who doesn’t give him trouble with my files (that’s

because I don’t want to work twice).

I have 20 years experience setting up for different

bindery techniques, speciality printing involving

metallic inks, foils, embossing and dies.

My writing skills are such that I’m useful as a

proofreader/editor/copywriter. I don’t groan

when presented the opportunity to do more.

Commercial animation: writer, director, producer,

artist, audio designer, animator: James Schuler

I use traditional media such as pencil, paint,

watercolor, etc., in conjunction with high-tech media

using narrative techniques I learned in film school.

I really love what I do and am excited when I get to do

more. I sincerely hope I can help you create something

meaningful!
