    Narrow Heat Affected zone. High equipment cost and that

    of vacuum chamber. Size of

    work is limited due torequirement of vacuum.

    Can be used to weld in

    applications where the reverseside cannot be welded.

    Rapid solidification can cause

    cracks in some metals and X-rays are produced during the

    process which can be

    dangerous.
