If the sensor doesn’t recognize your gestures, try calibrating it:

To calibrate your sensor, from the Xbox Dashboard go to System Settings, Kinect™ Settings and choose Kinect Tuner.

If the sensor can’t recognize you:

Make sure there is adequate lighting and you are not wearing clothing that obscures your shape or hides your face.

If the sensor can’t hear you:Reduce extra noise in the room and lower TV volume. Ensure that the sensor is not near a speaker or other sound sources.

If the sensor stops tracking you:

Have everyone step out of the play space and have the current player step back in. Check the camera placement to make sure your range of motion is within the sensor play space and make sure your body is facing the sensor.

If the light on your sensor is red, or you see the message "Update Required"

Insert and play the Kinect Adventures disc. If connecting to an original Xbox 360, make sure the Kinect power cable is connected to both power and the sensor.

For additional help confi guring your sensor, troubleshooting performance or other sensor functionality, please see the sensor setup in the System area of the Xbox Dashboard. Stand 6 ft.-8 ft. (1.8m-2.5m) from the sensor to ensure you have enough space to play. Completely clear a path between you and the sensor (move furniture out of the path if necessary). Ensure the sensor is positioned on a stable surface, between 2 ft. (0.61m) and 6 ft. (1.8m) from the fl oor near the centre line of your TV.

If your console and/or sensor won’t turn on:

Check that the console is connected to a power outlet, the power cord is connected fi rmly to your console, and the light on the power supply is orange or green. Also check to ensure that the sensor cable is fi rmly connected to the auxiliary port on the back of the console (see Step 3). A light on the front of the console and a green light on the sensor indicates each is on.

If your wireless controller doesn’t connect to your console:

Reconnect the controller with the console. 1. Make sure both your controller and console are on. Press the console power button if necessary. 2. Press the Connect button (small button with a wireless symbol) on the front of your console. 3. Press the Connect button (small button with a wireless symbol) on the top of your controller. The lights on your controller and console will spin, then both will fl ash when connected.

If you want to transfer data from your current Xbox to your new Xbox:

You can use either a USB memory stick or an Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Cable to transfer data. For help in understanding which method to use and for further instructions, please go to xbox.com/transfer.

If you can’t connect to Xbox LIVE®:

Test your connection by going to System, Network Settings, Test Xbox LIVE Connection. Your console will try connecting to Xbox LIVE— this may help identify the problem. For additional assistance, see xbox.com/support.

If the sensor can’t see you:Make sure the sensor is properly placed and the light on its front is solid green. Make sure the sensor is facing you and that there are no objects between you and the sensor. Prevent direct sunlight from shining on you or the front of the sensor. For more help, from the Xbox Dashboard go to System Settings and choose Initial Settings. Or go to support.xbox.com/kinect.

Helpful Hints 實用提示

If you move your console while the disc is spinning, you risk scratching your disc. Only move the console when it is powered off.
