1.3 Notifications1. Please insert a good quality SD Card correctly and ensure transit speed should be up to CLASS 4.2. Please use 4/8 AA alkaline batteries, remember that mix use of old and new batteries is not allowed. 3. Please remove all the AA batteries before the camera is powered by the external power supply ( DC-IN ) and ensure the standard adaptor is marked with (6V/2A)4. Please remove the AA batteries if the power is running out or it will be left unused for a long time in case of liquid leakage.5. Please don't leave the camera around hot subjects to avoid malfunctions.6. Please don't throw the camera into water, because the waterproof level is IP54, it can work normally in a rainy day, but can't dive in the water.
1.4 System requirementIf the camera is connected to computer, the following specifications are required at least. The Pentium2.0 GHZ or upper processor/Windows XP or upper system/2G RAM/80G ROM/standard USB port/CD-ROM driver/1G and more display card/1024*760 or higher screen definition.

2. Start to use2.1 Installation of the SD card1. Please Insert a SD card before taking photos or recording video, and the transfer speed of SD card should be CLASS 4 or faster.2. Please format the SD card when you use at the first time, see method 3.2.53. Steps to insert the SD card.1. Open the hasps, see Picture 12. Push the SD card (hard contact face down) to slot until a “click” is sounded, see Picture 2
Notice:1. Please use good quality SD card, otherwise the camera might not recognize it, or even can't be powered up.2. Please format the SD card when you use at the first time, meanwhile, don't take out the SD card when the camera is working, that might damage the SD card and lose data.3. Transfer speed of SD card should reach CLASS4 or faster.

2.2 Installation of batteryPlease do use good quality #5 batteries(AA batteries), the following is installation method.1. Prepare for 4 or 8 pieces of AA batteries.2. Open the two hasps, See Picture 13. Stick out a finger to pull the “OPEN” position or the tow rope to unfold battery hatch. See Picture 24. Install 4/8 AA batteries according to the polarity sign on the hatch. See Picture 35. After installing batteries, close the battery hatch.
2.3Use the adaptorExcept AA batteries, the camera also can be powered by adaptor as external power supply.1. Please use the normal standard adaptor marked with 6V/2A, SPEC: AC 100V-240V/50-60HZ2. Please remove all the AA batteries.3. Plug one end of the adaptor to power supply, connect the other end to DC-IN interface. See photo 4.

2.4 Start up and shutdown
2.4.1 Start up
Push the slide-key to “TEST” gear, the camera is powered on , all functions and
parameters can be set now. after setting, push slide-key to ” ON “gear, the camera
screen will turn black after five seconds countdown, then work according to settings
in power-saving mode.
2.4.2 Shutdown
Push the slide-key to “OFF” gear, the camera will be powered off. However, if you
want to restart the camera, it will take 3 seconds after shutdown
2.5 Modes switch on “TEST” gear
When the slide-key is on “TEST” gear, the camera can switch among each mode.
The following is the method:
1. Push slide-key to “TEST” gear
2. Press the “MODE” key, the camera can switch between “photo” mode and
“video” mode, and users will see the icon changing accordingly on top left corner
of the screen.
3. Press “PLAYBACK” key, all files can be viewed, photos and videos.

2.6 Connect to PC This camera can be connected to PC, then users can transfer, check and edit all files. Operation step is below.1.Install 4/8 batteries , then push the slide-key to “TEST” gear,2.Use the standard USB cable to connect the PC and camera3.After connection users will see “USB” on camera screen and “new disk driver” on PC display As shown as below pictures
2.7 Connect to TVExcept PC, the camera also can be connected to TV, all files including videos and photos can be viewed on TV, see below steps.1. Install 4/8pcs batteries, then push the slide-key to “TEST” gear,2. Use the standard USB cable to connect the TV and camera3. The operation interface of camera will appear on the TV screen, while the camera screen will turn black in seconds.

2.8 Direction of camera use
This camera has strong PIR monitoring functions and a simulate appearance.
It is widely used for house security ,warehouse protection,animals observation
and so on. In monitoring mode, photos and videos can be captured automatically.
2.8.1 The strap is available in the package,
which will be useful to place the camera, the
method is shown on the right.
2.8.2 Please read precautions and use
method carefully to avoid improper operation
that might damage the camera
2.8.3 Please set functions and parameters
In Photo/Video mode before monitoring,
then push the slide-key to “ON” gear, seconds later the camera will work normally
in the monitoring mode. At this time, the active objects can be captured in the scope
of the monitoring.
2.8.4 The settings of the “TEST” gear are shown in the following chapter.
Note: Please ensure the camera face the target area; the maximum distance of IR lights is 20 meters (65.61feets); The PIR trigger time is 0.8-1s, the battery life depends on different working modes or environment.

This chapter will help familiarize you with the detailed settings.2.9 Introductions of photo mode interface Before setting and using, you need to know well about the slide-key.“OFF” gear: to switch off the camera “TEST” gear: to set functions/parameters, confirm, preview, check files“ON” gear: to enter into monitoring mode, the camera will capture photos and videos according to your settings when lives come into the PIR range. All photos and videos will be stored in SD card.After installing the batteries, push the slide-key to “TEST” gear, in the photo mode, you will see several icons on the screen. See blow meanings of each icon.
2.10 Introductions of video mode interfacePress the “MODE” key, the camera will switch from photo mode to video mode, please check blow meanings of each icon on the screen.

3. Use the camera
3.1 “MENU” settingsThis chapter will help you to understand various upper functions.The menu and operation method are all the same between in the photo mode and video mode.When the slide-key is on “TEST” gear, all functions/parameter can be set after pressing the “MENU” key. Once you push the slide-key to “ON” gear, the camera will work according to your settings.
3.1.1 ModeThis function will determine what kind of working mode the camera will work with, please check following operation methods.1. In Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the “Setting” menu;2. Press “Up/Down” key to select “Mode”, press “OK” to enter into sub-menu interface of “Mode”;3. In the sub-menu interface, select desired value mode: Photo/Video/ PhotoVideo / Timelapse;4. Press “OK” to confirm, and back to “Settings” menu.
Note:“Photo” mode: in this mode, push the slide-key to “ON” gear, the camera can only take photos.“Video” mode: in this mode, push the slide-key to “ON” gear, the camera can only record videos.“PhotoVideo” mode: in this mode, push the slide-key to “ON” gear, the camera will take photos first, then record videos.“Timelapse” mode: this function should work with “Timelapse interval” and “Monitoring Period”, otherwise this function will not work. Meanwhile you need to set the system time to current time. Push the slide-key to “ON” gear, the camera begins to take photos and merge them to a video finally.

3.1.2 PIR delay timeThis function is to set the waiting time to take next photo for PIR sensor, that means if the camera finishes taking the first photo, it will wait sometime until it begins to take the next photo. There are several interval options, just select required one. The operation method is as follows. 1. In Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the ”Setting” menu; 2. Press “Up/Down” key to select “PIR delay time”, press “OK” to enter into the sub-menu interface of “PIR delay time”; 3. In the sub-menu interface, choose desired value : 2s / 5s / 10s / 15s / 30s / 1min / 3min / 5min / 10min /15min / 30min;4. Press “OK” to confirm, and back to “Settings” menu.
3.13 PIR SensitivityThis functions is to set the sensitivity level of PIR sensor, users can choose different level according current environment. The operation method is as follows:1. In photo Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the ”Setting” menu; 2. Press “Up/Down” key to select “PIR Sensitivity”, press “OK” to enter into sub-menu interface of “PIR Sensitivity”; 3. In the sub-menu interface, choose desired level :high/normal/low;4. Press “OK” to confirm, and back to “Settings” menu;

3.1.4 Photo SeriesThis function is to set the number of photos the camera will take at a time. It can only work in Photo mode, operation method is below:1. In photo Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the ”Setting” menu; 2. Press “Up/Down” key to select “Photo Series”, press “OK” to enter into the sub-menu interface of “Photo Series”; 3. In the sub-menu interface, choose desired value :1 /2/3;4. Press “OK” to confirm, and back to “Settings” menu.
3.1.5 Video Length This function is to set the video length, it can only work in Video mode. The operation method is as follows:1. In photo Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the ”Setting” menu;2. Press “Up/Down” key to select “Video Length”, press “OK” to enter into sub-menu interface of “Video Length” 3. In the sub-menu interface, choose desired value: 10s / 20s / 30s / 1min / 2min / 5min;4. Press “OK” to confirm, and back to “Settings” menu.

3.1.6 Video Size This function is to set the size of videos, the higher the resolution, the better the quality of video, but more storage space will be occupied. This function only works in Video mode. The operation method is as follows:1.In the Photo/Video mode, press “MENU” key to shift to the “Settings” menu;2.Press “Up/Down” key to select the “ Video Size ”, press“OK”to enter into the sub-menu interface;3.In the sub-menu interface, select the desired value of video files: 720P / 1080P / VGA4.Press the “OK” to confirm and back to the “Settings” menu.
3.1.7 Photo SizeThis function is to set the size of the photos, the higher the resolution, the better the quality of photo, but more storage space will be occupied.This function only works in Video mode,. The operation method is as follows:1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the “Settings” menu;2.Press the “Up/Down” key to select the “ Photo Size ” menu, press “OK”to enter into the sub-menu interface of the “ Photo Size ”;3.In the sub-menu interface, select the desired size of photo files: 16M / 12M / 8M / 5M;4.Press “OK” to confirm and back to the “Settings” menu.

3.1.8 Photo StampThis function is to set whether the stamp information would be shown on photo/video files, such as the date, the time, the serial No. etc. The operation method is as follows:1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the “Settings” menu;2.Press the “Up/Down” key to select the “ Photo Stamp ” menu, press “OK”to enter into the sub-menu interface of the “ Photo Stamp ”;3.In the sub-menu interface, select whether to show the stamp on the photo/video files: Yes / No;4.Press “OK” to confirm and back to the “Settings” menu.
3.1.9 LanguageThis function is to set the system language, please choose required one from multiple languages according to using habits. The operation method is as follows:1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the “Settings” menu;2.Press the “Up/Down” key to select the “ Language ” menu, press “OK” to enter into the sub-menu interface of the “ Language ”;3.In the sub-menu interface, select the desired language: English / Francais / Chinese / Nederlands / Italiano / Portuguese / Deutsch / Magyar / Polski / Spanish / Finnish;4.Press “OK” to confirm and back to the “Settings” menu.

3.1.10 Date/Time This function is to set the system time and date of the camera, the operation method is as follows:1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the “Settings” menu;2.Press the “Up/Down” key to select the “ Date/Time ” menu, press “OK” to enter into the sub-menu interface of the “Date/Time ”;3.In the sub-menu interface, users can set the system date and time according to current situation, the operation methods: Press the “Up/Down” key to set the specific settings, press “Left / Right” Key to switch among Year / Month / Day / Hour / Minute / Second;4.After setting, press “OK” to confirm and back to the “Settings” menu.
3.1.11 Timelapse interval This function is only to set up for the “ Timelapse ” in the “ Mode ” settings, it won't work in other modes. This function aims to set the time interval of taking photos in the “ Timelapse ” mode, Besides, it needs to be used with the “ Monitioring Period ”function. Within the scope of above two settings, PIR Sensor induction is invalid. The operation method is as follows:1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the “Settings” menu;2.Press the “Up/Down” key to select the “ Timelapse interval ” menu, press “OK” to enter into the sub-menu interface of the “Date/Time ”;3.In the sub-menu interface, select the desired timelapse interval: 15s / 30s / 1min / 3min / 5min / 10min / 15min / 30min;4.After setting, press “OK” to confirm and back to the “Settings” menu.

Notice:
1.This function is only workable for the “ Timelapse ” in the “ Mode ” settings, invalid in other mode.
2.This function will work when it is used with the “ Monitioring Period ” together, and at the
same time, the PIR Sensor induction is invalid.
3.If the mode setting is selected as “ Timelapse ”, and it will takes effect with “ Timelapse interval ”
and “ Monitioring Period ”, the photos shot in“ Monitioring Period ” will be automatically merged
into a video file.
3.1.12Monitioring Period
This function is only to set up for the “ Timelapse ” in the “ Mode ” settings, it won't works in other
modes. This function aims to set the time period of taking photos in the “ Timelapse ” mode,
Besides, it needs to be used with the “Timelapse interval ” function. Within the scope of above
two settings, PIR Sensor induction is invalid. The operation method is as follows:
1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the “Settings” menu;
2.Press the “Up/Down” key to select the “ Monitioring Period ” menu, press “OK” to enter into the
sub-menu interface of the “ Monitioring Period ”;
3.In the sub-menu interface, select the desired monitioring Period: OFF / ON; When selecting
“ OFF ”, this operation will disable; When selecting “ ON ”, there comes a setting interface.
Please set the start/end time. The setting methods: In the line of “ Start ”, press the “Up/Down”
key to set the start time, press “Left / Right” Key to switch between hour/minute. After setting,
press “OK” to switch to the “ End ” line, press the “Up/Down” key to set the end time, press “Left /
Right” Key to switch between hour/minute.
4.After setting, press “OK” to confirm and back to the “Settings” menu.

Notice:1.This function is only workable for the “ Timelapse ” in the “ Mode ” settings, invalid in other modes.2. This functions will work when it is used with the “Timelapse interval ” together, and at the same time, the PIR Sensor induction is invalid.3. When the Mode setting is selected as “ Timelapse ”, and it will takes effect with “ Timelapse interval ” and “ Monitioring Period ”, the photos shot in“ Monitioring Period ” will be automatically merged into a video file.4. The start time of this setting must be bigger than the current system time
3.1.13 Serial NO This function is to set the serial No. of this camera, after setting, the serial No will be shown on the bottom of photos. The operation method is as follows:1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the “Settings” menu;2.Press the “Up/Down” key to select the “ Serial NO ” menu, press “OK” to enter into the sub-menu interface of “Serial NO”;3.In the sub-menu interface, select whether to set the serial No: OFF / ON; When selecting “ OFF ”, it stops setting the serial No. When selecting “ ON ”, there comes a setting interface, press “OK” to enter into the serial No setting operation, press the “Up/Down” key to set the serial No, press “Left / Right” Key to switch among four numbers;4.After setting, press “OK” to confirm and back to the “Settings” menu.

3.1.14Password This function is to set the entry password of this camera. The operation method is as follows:1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the “Settings” menu;2.Press the “Up/Down” key to select the “ Password ” menu, press “OK” to enter into the sub-menu interface of the “ Password ”;3.In the sub-menu interface, select whether to set the password: OFF / ON; When selecting “ OFF ”, fail to set the password. When selecting “ ON ”, there comes a setting interface, press “OK” to enter the password setting operation, press the “Up/Down” key to set the password, press “Left / Right” Key to switch among four numbers;4.After setting, press “OK” to confirm and back to the “Settings” menu.
Notice:If the users forget the password they set, they can use the universal password to turn on the camera. The universal password: 1111.
3.1.15Version This function is to check the current version of this camera. The operation method is as follows:1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the “Settings” menu;2.Press the “Up/Down” key to select the “ Version ” menu, press “OK” to enter into the sub-menu interface checking the current version;3.After checking, press “OK” and back to the “Settings” menu.

3.1.16Reset SettingsThis function is to restore factory default settings in case of breakdown caused by mal-operations, it can return to factory default settings via this function, and the data stored in SD card won't be deleted. The operation method is as follows:1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “MENU” key to shift to the “Settings” menu;2.Press the “Up/Down” key to select the “ Reset Settings ” menu, press “OK” to enter into the sub-menu interface of the “Reset Settings ”;3.In the sub-menu interface, select whether to reset settings: OFF / ON; select “ ON ” to reset the factory settings, select “OFF ” to stop resetting the factory settings;4.Press “OK” to confirm and back to the “Settings” menu.
Notice!After setting the relative functions/parameters when the slide key is on “TEST” gear, push the slide key to “ ON ” gear, the camera screen will turn black within 5 seconds countdown. The infrared camera enter into the power-saving mode and work according to the operation settings.
3.2 Function of “PLAYBACK” keyThe photo/video shot by this camera can be played back and viewed on the camera, users can delete, format and so on. The operations are as follows:
3.2.1 View Date/TimeThis function is to view the date and time of the current photo/video file, the date and time are based on the system date and time. The operation method is as follows: 1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “PLAYBACK” key to enter the playback mode;2.Press “Left / Right” Key to select the required photo or video file of which the date and time need to be viewed;3.Press the ”MENU” key to shift to the menu of the “PLAYBACK”; 4.Press “Up/Down” key to select the “View Date/Time ”, press “OK” to view date and time of the current photo/video file;

5.After viewing, press “OK” and back to the “Settings” menu.
3.2.2 ProtectThis function is to protect files from being mistakenly deleted, the operation method is as follows: 1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “PLAYBACK” key to enter the playback mode;2.Press “Left / Right” Key to select the required photo/ video file;3.Press the “MENU” key to shift to the menu of the playback mode; 4.Press “Up/Down” key to select the “ Protect ”, press “OK” to select whether to protect the current file: Yes/No; After being protected, there will be an icon shown on the top left corner of the file;5.Press “OK” to and back to the “Settings” menu.

3.2.3 Delete OneThis function is to delete the current displayed file, the operation method is as follows: 1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “PLAYBACK” key to enter the playback mode;2.Press “Left / Right” Key to select the desired photo/ video file;3.Press the “MENU” key to shift to the menu of the playback mode; 4.Press “Up/Down” key to select the “Delete One ”, press “OK” to select whether to delete the current file: Yes/No; 5.Press “OK” and back to the “Settings” menu.
Note: Be cautious with this function, the photo/video files can't be found once deleted.
3.2.4 Delete AllThis function is to delete all the photo and video files, the operation method is as follows: 1.In the Photo/Video mode, press the “PLAYBACK” key to enter the playback mode;2.Press the “MENU” key to shift to the menu of the playback mode; 3.Press “Up/Down” key to select the “Delete All ”, press “OK” to select whether to delete the files: Yes/No; 4.Press “OK” and back to the “Settings” menu.
