Since its inception, DUO has forged a 20-year standard in lure manufacturing that has been utilizing future technologies and innovation. A company beyond its time, the DUO concept of commitment and quality is unprecedented and attained only at the highest level of execution, clearly exceeding today’s perceptions.

The personification of this philosophy is DUO’s CEO and chief designer, Masahiro Adachi, one of the most respected lure designers in Japan. Masahiro Adachi’s designs were first introduced in the early 90’s when he shocked the lure world with his engineering. His lures were geared to hit long-range targets while producing innovative swim motion. This focal point paid off and the famed designer has remained one of the top contracts in Japan. Adachi’s designing process originates from thought, but his understanding of lure action developed from studying the intricate swim be-havior of live baitfish. Mr. Adachi’s philosophy of “functional beauty” means he is trying to create lures that both unify in form and function, making lures that are creatively known as “better than the real one”.

Another vital element to Mr. Adachi’s gift is his detailed understanding of predator fish and their biology. He combines his gifted R&D process with his lure designs and academia regarding feeding constructs of predator gamefish to cre-ate function. Mr. Adachi does not create lures in the tradi-tional JDM way with the use of drawing and CAD. Rather, every creation begins as a carving. Adachi mentally envisions the swim-action of his lure and begins carving a design from ABS plas-tic. The process could be considered organic. Mr. Adachi’s designs are original, sometimes so intricate that they require months to perfect. There are many lures created by Mr. Adachi that currently influence the Japanese bass market. Many are hidden under the logo of other Japanese lure companies. What isn’t hidden is the exquisite quality and flawless action of Mr. Adachi’s finished products.

The integration of hand created designs and high precision digital constructs are imperative prior-ities for the creator, Mr. Adachi. This approach will remain a trademark for DUO lures.

“Realistic” is a loose term used in the fishing industry.

Chasing realism on the surface or exterior of a lure lacks the challenge once known. Improving the appearance of a lure has become simplified and available to the correct bidder with the right technology. But for DUO International, “Realistic” touches a deeper nerve. It’s an intimate definition of not only beauty but of function. DUO has approached lure design from a completely new perspective. We focused on what drives the predator, the one pursued; not the one who gives chase, rather the one chased - the baitfish. DUO has gathered the understanding of prey-response and flee-response of the one being hunted.

With Prometheus, we are bringing a new design method to revolutionize the industry. A completely new approach to lure design... the Prometheus Project.

Prometheus (/prəˈmiːθiːəs/ prə-mee-thee-əs) is a Titan in Greek mythology, best known as the benefactor of mankind; giving life to a piece of clayand animating the inanimate.

Pioneer of the Prometheus Project - Taking Realism to a New Level.

The Prometheus Project began in 2013. Famed lure designer, Mr. Adachi, desired a unique platform which could accompany his design expertise and intricate understanding of lure actions, fusing them together with his advanced high resolution imaging and painting technology. Lure actions like “S-curve” were studied and deemed effective for certain lure developments. The Prometheus Project further included DUO’s fusion of trade-mark painting and advanced printing process. The finished product is awe inspiring and shockingly realistic. Welcome to the Prometheus Project: Onimasu. The focus on this lure was to acquire a true S-curve motion distinctly different from saturated actions being depicted in the industry. This lure’s vector (course of travel) is influenced by the lure’s unique profile and fore-region. Its fluxion (or velocity) is dictated by line tension and reel retrieve. It is versatile and can be guided by an array of gear ratios from a selected reel. The intention is to offer the swim motion through a variety of retrieves. Most slalom or affectionately called glide baits provide a relatively shallow ‘sway and yaw’ motion. They show less ability to glide far beyond the centerline of travel. In fact, many take on the resemblance of “tacking” or a fluid “walk the dog” routine. Adachi’s Onimasu executes a wide swing and gait to its course of travel. This significant side-to-side “flare” keeps the lure in an evasive pattern yet in the strike window longer, mimicking what DUO calls escape behavior. Its glide pattern can reach nearly 3 feet. The ballast and ride positions of the lure give incredible stability at high speeds, remaining in the water and avoiding porpoising (a negative tendency). The lure is full of advantages. More noted, is its thin, low mass profile designed to increase hook ratios and reduce fish-leveraging against the lure. The Onimasu is one of many innovations to rise from the Prometheus Project. The Prometheus Project will bring the discriminating angler closer to the real thing and anticipation will be his only challenge.

DUO’s success in the top water category was established via its introduction of the Pencil 110. Its effortless ability to “walk the dog” and exemplified quality and durability, gave it a place in the market. For 2015 DUO International has introduced two Realis top water lures that together may need their own category. The PencilPopper 148 and it’s little brother the PencilPopper110. These Pencil Poppers are another advancement in lure fishing and are swollen with attri-butes others have yet to experience. You will notice close up their shape, the bends and curves and tapered points all pertain to engineering keys that unlock their aerodynamics and hydrodynam-ic functions which will pleasantly surprise you as many discriminating and professional anglers are discovering already. The internal super-structure adjoins over 40 intersecting diagonal beams creating super rigid body core. DUO’s molding technology is one of the most advanced in the world, giving this company the sole ability to create a super structure designed to withstand bone-crushing encounters with giant game fish. No matter what line type or diameter is provided, the aerial track of the PP148 and PP110 is consistent, accurate and will out distance standard top water configurations. The front hook harness utilizes a 360-degree rotation swivel, which helps reduce negative leveraging by the fish against the hook and body. The poppers mouth enters the water line at approximately a 45-degee angle allowing the lure to displace a significant amount of surface-water. The dual-pur-pose lure not only pops, but it can be walked in less stable surface conditions. The difference in the 148 and 110 is not simply the size offering. While the 148 may surprise some anglers due to is robust size, it is designed to raise giant predator fish. The 110 articulates a smaller swim pattern to call game fish fixated on smaller forage, but make no mistake, the little brother catches big fish and numbers due to wire-through construction and is also able to handle them without any problem. Meet a top water lure with dual-purpose actions. The swim actions are effortless, the sound resonates well, the profiles are attractive and the color patterns are proven. We just made top water fishing better.

To set yourself apart from the herd in the crankbait market, a company has to take serious its understanding of hydro-dynamics, materials and components. It must also have excellent balance, castability, defection, unique yet proven vibration and low line-tension during retrieves.

DUO exceeded these challenges and set a bench mark in the process with Realis Crank G87 20A, a true super crank and pinnacle of lure engineering.

G87 20A`s crank development was carefully put into motion by DUO’s R&D team. The need for a crankbait that could truly dive beyond the 20-foot mark and accurately reach its target has been deeply desired by professional anglers. To make a lure dive deep is not a

huge challenge. But to make a lure dive and remain balanced, travel (like an arrow) through the air minimally influenced by cross winds and stay within strike zone longer with minimal reeling tension requires precise engineering. DUO`s chief designer, Mr.

Masahiro Adachi has exceeded expectations.

Keeping the 87 mm profile, maintaining the advanced weight transfer system, DUO Realis has issued a new deep diver - G87 15A, a profile desired by many professionals and not only our personal staff. It is a niche bait that dives between 14 and 16 ft. without effort. This crankbait successfully incorporated a pronounced yet sinuous wobble with low hydro-resistance during the retrieve and allows an angler to achieve much more without the extra weight and fatigue.

This superior diving ability can be attributed to the most advanced weight transfer system in deep diving cranking soon to be used on the professional bass circuits. G87`s enlarged magnetic ballast carriage hides the casting bearing outside the body cavity, where it`s held by a magnet made of Neodymium, a material considerably stronger than the usual magne-sium, necessary due to the size of the bearing.

The G87’s body is approximately 3 ½ inches in length and weighs at 35 grams (1-1/5 oz). With a heavy weight appear-ance you would think heavy resistance and heavy line tension (during the retrieve) would be apparent traits, but it’s the opposite. Mr. Adachi was able to reduce hydrodynamic drag from the bait. Mr. Adachi was seeking to create a vehicle that could be pushed, distanced, and driven into the darkest deep without a hint of labor.

The G87 was created for B.A.S.S. Elite , FLW and JB Tour anglers seeking the most efficient deep cranking tool invented. When the professional angler actually fishes the G87 it will be nothing like they ever experienced.

The G87, has walked right through what most have called the final barrier in crankbaiting and pioneered a new one. Not only is it the first of its kind in the world - the G87 created a new pinnacle, a new frontier in crankbait engineering.

Precision Trajectory Due to it aerodynamic shape, the G87's can enter flight corridors with control to combat denser dynamic pressures and provide accuracy. This means dramatically longer flight distances. The G87 easily can reach distances that exceed 200 ft (60.96 meters).

Not only does the superior drag co-efficiency affect trajectory and diving efficiency, it also reduces water resistance and line tension, which causes angler fatigue during line incorporation or "reeling".

The special lip formation and frontal shape of the G87 allows the lure to descend at an aggressive angle. This in turn brings the lure down into the preferred cranking zone earlier, in essence increasing the distance and duration in which the G87 can remain in the targeted area. Steeper pitch angle has made it so this lure exceeds 27.5ft (8.36m) in a single retrieve and 40ft (12m) via trolling during our testing.

The “Spybaiting” technique is considered an ultra-finesse hard bait technique requiring light line, long casts and in-line retrieves. Manipulation of the technique requires concentration and steady slow retrieves. But the results are mind altering. It is a finesse technique that catches big fish as well as numbers. It has recently hit the global shores and has been proven effective on a wide range of fish, both freshwater and saltwater.

The lure designed for this technique is the Realis Spinbait.

DUO invites you to become familiar with the deadly finesse presentation known as “Spybaiting”, the technique of Silent Capture.

13

DUO studied the Spybaiting concept and created a compact design with specially tuned propellers that incorporate more subtle actions than conceived by other manufacturers. Its compact yet heavy body harbors a fixed ballast system made to increase trajectory, improve target orientation, and provide a heavy roll action.

The Realis Spinbait series also possesses specially designed cupped propellerswhich provide more pulsation at slower revolutions. This combination emulates the shimmer-effect of baitfish, making for the perfect Spybaiting vehicle.

Introducing the newest version to the Spinbait family, Realis Spinbait 90, created to match mature bait fish while adding finesse opportunities to tournament angler who prefer casting gear. That’s correct; the Spinbait 90 is yet another finesse lure created for the bait casting angler.

Like its cousin, Spinbait 80 G-Fix, the 90 has excellent trajectory and built-in multi-directional actions and still possesses a compact profile with low-co-effi-cient air and water drag. Designer, Mr. Adachi is known for his impeccable work with Spinbait 80 versions, however Spinbait 90 is not merely a sized-up mod-el. It has an increase flat and taller lateral line area to increase flashing effect used in the bait’s trademark rolling action. The internal structural frame of the 90 was designed to sustain the crushing blows from larger predatory fish. In several prototype tests, Spinbait 90, placed among other 90mm-plus spybaits, possessed more built-in actions, emulated better minnow behavior and had a more natural decent (sinking).

The Spinbait 90 can fly! The 90 accurately hit targets increasingly better than other spybaits tested. The Spinbait 90 had the furthest trajectory of similar sized spybaits. In other words, anglers could hit their targets better and cast further with the Spinbait 90. Compared to the other spybaits the Spinbait 90 out-cast-ed others as much as 40 feet. It also covered water and remained in deeper feeding zones longer.

On the professional tour, its utility is being extended. Bass pros are using it as sub-surfacing tool on schooling fish. This is due to its easy manipulation and long range. After covering surface water, the angler is then tracing through deeper areas once considered for multiple lures. With Spinbait’s ability, all these areas can be targeted with one lure.

The compact, aerodynamic and hydrodynamic body of the Spinbait 80 produces significant parabolic momentum when cast; activates multi-directional actionsand vibrational wave lengths when retrieved. In a single cast, these built-in attributes allow Spinbait 80 to trace deeper zones longer. Paired propellers rotate against disks causing a distinct audible pitch and a compressed vibration called “micro-pulsing”. The cupped propeller configuration displaces soft but turbid water along the lure’s body-line releasing what is called “plume-effect”. “Plume-effect” is actually detected by the bass frontal nerve network is situated through the fore-region of the bass helping the bass feel pressure and vibration. This sensory matrix integrates with the bass instinctive predatory and territory responses.

Uniquely shaped body halves and angled ballast induce a shimmer motion and subtle body rotation called “passive minnow vibration”. This occurs when the lure is paused or allowed to free-fall to another depth.

The tracking of the lure is significantly straight and purposeful. However, slow motion video also shows the lure exhibiting a “listing action” which is called “body-flash”. This flashing or reflecting during the retrieve has the tempo of a casual unassuming feeding minnow. The objective is to display a non-stressed, highly regulated minnow, the precursor to neutral mode activity.

Realis Spinbait, the only true spybait designed for tournament fishing, comes in a new G-Fix pro-tune. Pro-tuned and perfected for the baitcaster, Realis Spinbait 80 G-Fix stays unmatched and unchallenged in the Spybaiting category.

G-Fix’s increased performance and unique signatured action is able to meet windy tournament conditions head on. With the same ultra finesse profile, the spybait is able to effectively trace contours others can’t.

Many professional bass anglers are well aware that the Spinbait 80 simply outcasts every spybait to hit the US shores and the same is true in Japan. What many didn’t realize was that the new Spinbait 80 G-Fix have even a greater trajectory. How far? While most popular spybaits hit the averaged casting distance between 80 to 95 feet in a single cast. The Spinbait 80 G-Fix averaged 130 ft. or (39 meters) ! In some cases the Spinbait G-Fix casted over 40 feet more than several spybaits!

Realis Spinbait 80 G-Fix is absolutely the best spybait to reach deeper bass or further targets and the only spybait to stay in deep zones longer and more accurately. With the additional weight producing even greater distance, it remains the only spybait designed for professional angling.

Introducing the most advanced jerkbait to hit the US shores.

A considerable amount of thought and direction went in Jerkbait 100DR. The 100DR was designed to bring a ripbait to the market that could be fished on heavier lines using diameters repre- senting 14 and 15 pound test. The 100DR reaches depths of 10-feet, a feat usually accomplished with 8-pound diameter lines. Now a tournament angler can throw much heavier line and get his ripbait to reach impressive depths or he can finesse his way even deeper. The 100DR was designed to reach further and deeper with little effort. The ballast system houses oversized bearings and a magnetize carriage to “seat” all 3 bearings during retrieve. Once released, the ballast is channeled to the rear of the lure to ensure long casts. DUO decided to use steel ballast as it can be produced with less variance or discrepancy in the individual weights. The action on the DR is poised, yet erratic. It doesn’t foul, as the ballast remains seated even during forceful jerks or ripping action from the rod. The lure is well balanced, offering a dual purpose - not only can be ripped and twitched but can it be utilized like a crankbait during line incorporation. The DR’s lip construction is unique and is reinforced by intersecting angles. It is actually stronger than other JDM rip baits without loss to its hydrodynamics. The wall thickness and internal cross member frame in the DR was increased to withstand additional abuse by deep-water species such as pike. The acous-tics on DUO’s deep diving bait resonates two different pitch frequencies giving it a very unique sound.

The 110SP has a semi-flat side coupled by round edges bringing the flash angle from both worlds together in one shape. The 110SP emits wider flash bands than a completely rounded jerkbait body, thanks to DUO’s trademarked flatside design. The 110SP possesses the same structural integrity as the 100DR. Hi density, high quality proprietary ABS provides up to 30% better structural integrity than other lures. The wall thickness and internal cross member frame was increased to withstand additional abuse by other predator species. Thanks to the advanced tungsten- weight transfer system, this bait can be twitched, jerked or retrieved. If you are familiar with the technique called “rippin” this bait provides tremendous flash and remains balanced through the cadence. Long casts are effortless with the 110SP, another trademark, of DUO’s jerk-baits. The release system in the ballast cavity actually was designed not only for better distance casting but to also aid in a unique action.

DUO continuously prides itself in creating the ability to emit unique sound frequencies, different from other manufacturers. Realis Jerkbait 110SP carries a very unique sound due to multiple chambers in the 110 body. Its dual pitch is a refreshing departure of standardized jerkbait sounds.

When professional angler thinks of jerkbaits in today’s market, what attributeis most important? While fancy colors and scale patterns provide realism it is still the lure’s “action” that prioritizes an angler’s jerkbait selection. DUO has went beyond the angler’s desire when it comes to refined jerkbait fishing. Jerkbait 100SP uses a refined and updated fixed ballast system to grant the lure a lower center of gravity. Its ballast system also provides stable movement in the water and is responsive to a variety of retrieves.

But did you know some fixed ballast jerbaits in 100 mm size can NOT remain up right when retrieved at a higher rate of speed? This is due to heavy focus place in rotation movement of lure. Realis Jerkbait 100SP has the best of all worlds, balance retrieve, specific body rotation to give off a pronounced wobble and precise gait during lure’s tack-movement (side to side cadence). The taller, flatter sides of the lure provide a larger profile giving an impression of a bigger baitfish. The flatter sides also provide wider band of flashing to improve detection of the lure at a distance.

Another advantage to the Jerkbait 100SP is its ability to stop and move efficiently through the water column without wandering or drifting aimlessly. Now an angler’s Jerkbait 100SP can cover water, be target oriented, while emitting a sustained vibration without the lure over-running its position or fouling.

The flagship of Realis big rip baits. Being known for its versatility to cover water quickly or to be target orientated on the go, has made the Realis Jerkbait 120SP a super tool among big bait users. The heavy flash emitted from the 120 is significant in comparison to other ripbaits its size. This comes from the lure’s extremely tall profile and ability to rotate its body 180 degrees (belly up). This is easily attained by imparted light rod twitches. The 120 seconds as a rip-bait, easily “ripped” without heavy rod tension.

Another powerful attribute is its innate ability to avoid any linear or aimless drift. Linear drifting is displayed in a jerkbait without the ability to stop immediate-ly thus leaving the angler less control when working the lure near or next to specific targets. The 120SP is different. As anglers have mentioned, “It can be stopped on a dime”, flicked or twitched in a radius of inches. It’s side to side “tack” or walk is also inches apart. The Realis Jerkbait 120 is so well balanced the lure can be burned during retrieve like a crankbait without “crumping” (failing) during its travel. The multiple actions and versatility are capable in the 120 due to high-end componentry hidden in its durable frame structure. The lip edges on the 120 are thin yet strongest in the industry due to 3 reinforced locations. Large tungsten ballast rides on a sophisticated track and carriage system noted to “seat” tungsten bearings firmly even at extreme angles ensuring the lures dominate action at anglers initial imparted action without any danger of bearing breaking loose and killing the action.

DUO has entered crankbait market with the tournament anglers needs in mind. The conviction to that aim begins with the expansion of the Realis M-Line.

The M-Series platform in development gave way to additional innovation and technology. The M62 5A has been assigned to the M-series fleet, charged with shallow-water probing. The M62 5A may be one of the most expensive shallow-water cranks created. But its high-quality componentry provides durability, better performance for a better more refined execution. The thin-cut lip, structurally reinforced, provides significantly more integrity to the fore-region of the lure. While its surface is perfectly flat and wide, the lip also is proficient in displacing a significant amount of water. The lip’s edge is angled designed to grab more and aid with tight to radius deflection. The slightly flats and tapered areas on the reinforced structure provide more flash and assist in less resistance to the body. The M62 has a very balanced-run-ning action that has been perfected over years. Its distinct, yet proven wobble is a refreshing departure from the industry standard. Many shallow-water cranks have a decent action but they are difficult to cast respectful distances. M62 5A has an advanced weight transfer system to ensure great wobble and accurate placement. The advanced ballast system possesses magnetized carriage that releases the casting bearing on to wide track that directs it to the rear of the lure. The ballast at the rear allows the tournament angler cast greater distances more accurately. Once M62 begins to be retrieved the magnet sucks the ballast into a specific position which frees the lure’s action and keeps it balanced. Now an angler can crank in close quarters or stretch it out with long casts along flats without sacrifice.

Durability is a common problem with lesser cranks. Crank bills shearing off, body-halves cracking, paint wearing rapidly and eyes coming out after a few minutes of cranking are all noted issues. M65 is known to combat these issues successfully. Quality and durability are the basic DUO standards. Impeccable design characteristic are not just there for looks. Multiple internal beams and chambers provide structural integrity beyond standard cranks. The M65’s action is unprecedented. It possesses excellent tight vibration and water displacement is significant. The low co-efficiency allows for the lure to move through the water and air balanced and without heavy line tension. In addition the lure has a sharp dive angle that helps it reach its stated depths. The M65 8a will dive to 9 feet and the M65 11A dives to 12 feet with little effort. Many crankbaits inherit a problem known as ‘jogging’ when colliding with cover. The impact hinders the bait’s swim motion, fouling the lures tracking and causing it to roll over axis, and then on its side with no return position. This is not erratic action, although often mistaken as such. However, with the M65, there is an elaborate ballast system that rests directly on the lowest part of the M65’s keel. When the M65 crashes into object, the force changes its trajectory along the object. However, it immediately returns to it balanced position and remains on tracking true. The M65’s performance doesn’t end with movement. It has a very sophisticated sound chamber. While other cranks use beads or bee-bees to articulate its lure sound, the M65 11a uses a sound baffle. The perforated metallic baffles are situated vertically in a chamber that allows a bearing to contact each baffle, capturing and re- distributing a unique sound. It carries a dual pitch not duplicated.

Both M65 crankbaits were loaded with performance but it is the complete package offered in this series that is going to give the angler an advantage. You may be able to ascertain why the M65 was a five year project. There is no crankbait like it.

Established in 1995, headed by one of Japan’s top lure designers, Masahiro Adachi created the lure company called DUO. Its objective was to remain vigilant in maintaining a reputation of innovation and impeccable quality. However, Mr. Adachi believesthe anglers experience should bare witness not only to quality but also to form and function. Realis Pencil 85 and 110 series not only reached this objective, it set a standard for all walking baits. The reinforced, thin wall construction aids the creating more internal volume to the body cavity. The consequence is excellent durability, high buoyancy and a further acoustic range. At first glance, the Pencil looks round and linear like other walking baits but closer examination reveals the body shape is oval with flat areas giving it superior aero dynamics for its size. Even the hook anchor positions were designed to provide a stable fight pattern without being affected by light crosswind. While the Pencil 85 is considered a finesse bait, the 110 is not that much bigger but was designed to meet two modes of fishing. It can display a quietly tacking gait or emit significantly more disturbance when needed. The intelligently designed ballast system not only gives the lure superior casting range, it provides additional services. It has a dual weight configuration. One weight is fixed and the other is positioned to move on a track. This gives the lure a superior tacking action. “Tacking” is the side to sidetracking cadence also known as “walking the dog”. The fixed rear weight is housed in a tight cavity with an exposed port. Part of the large ballast protrudes through the port allowing it to collide with the moving weight. The impact creates an amplified dual tone. This high pitch can be heard from extreme distances giving the lure more calling power. The anterior fore region of the lure houses a protrusion. This sphere works to displace surface water, and forces the lure to the position of least resistance. This does two things. It aids the pencil to tack or walk early and forces the lure to roll, flashing its gill plate. Now anglers can engage the walking action much earlier and avoid “porpoising” or linear drifting (a flaw in many top water lures). The innovative Pencil 85 and 110 provides an angler with the ability to reach his target in a single cast, immediately initiate walking-action, and “call” the fish from greater distances.

Revise your surface angling

■Length/64mm(2-1/2”in) ■Weight/9g(3/8oz) ■Type/Floating (Fixed Weight)■Hook/♯6X ■Ring/Line Eye♯2・Hook Eye♯2

Realis Popper 64 is strictly about business. It fires accurately and arrives to its destination effortlessly. Just pick your target and catch your fish. It’s the “run-n-gun”, making pattern fishing easy. It’s been said by some, you can’t improve on the popper too much. We at DUO beg to differ. While other companies spend their enthusiasm on the “skin” of the bait, DUO focuseson the internals. As we know, unfortunate impacts with seawalls and rocky shorelines will occur. It can wreak havoc on poppers, but the 64 was designed to meet this challenge. The wall-thickness of the Popper 64 and its internal bulkheads provide structural rigidity and durability.

The “pop” in Realis’ topwater bait displaces more water with less rod action due to a thin angled rim-deflector. This means no more filing a lip to get it to grab more water. The multi-angled cup also aids in helping the lure walk the dog. Yes this popper actually walks the dog very smoothly. Stop it and pop it abruptly and it will push a significant amount of water. As simple as some poppers are, DUO decided on a more intricate design. R&D staff spent countless hours on perfecting the action and static pitch of the lure. Many tournament poppers lie near flat or sit at approximately 30 to 40-degree angles, freeing the hooks and extending the profile. DUO went the other direction. The Popper 64 rests near vertical, giving it a more streamlined silhouette and there is no loss in hook up ratios. Wave action doesn’t hamper its ride or position and more of the body is submerged, exposing more lure to the fish. Examine the rear of most poppers and you will notice the end of the lure looks like the designer just stopped. Realis Popper 64’s tail region is tapered aggressively. It possesses a sharp keel that flattens at the base. This aids in “walking the dog”. The area around the hook anchor is shaved back, providing more freedom to the rear hook. The sound chambers are more advanced than other JDM poppers. Sound can be generated equally and multi-directionally; unlike many top water baits which are dependent upon specific direction to maximize the acoustics.

The tight profile is met with tight vibration emitted by Realis Vibration duo(62 & 68). It’s no mistake, this is one of the thinnest lipless crankbait ever construct-ed. Its precision aerodynamics deliver un-imaginable shedding of lure drag, allowing the lure to cut through water in unprecedented speed and balance. It has been proven bass relate to various retrieval speeds. Lures designed to move through water columns with little resistance can be retrieved at speeds not experienced by many predator fish. Vibration 68 and 62 operate best at depth ranges 6 feet and less. BASS Elite Angler, Kevin Hawk has found the Vibration 68 and 62 to be his favorite search baits when facing massive grass beds. Where innovation and engineering meet is considered the balancing fulcrum point of the lure’s purposeful horizontal position. Its fall is balanced with a subtle “shimmy”. On the retrieve, the lure has a deliberate and true path. It won’t foul or behave unscripted. Realis Vibration 68 and 62 are predictable and easy to control or impart variance in action. Also predictable, is the durability of DUO’s multi-layer painting. DUO prides itself on high quality and labor-intensive painting process, employed, not only to provide a beautiful skin to add durability to the lure.

Professional anglers don’t get to choose their fishing conditions. Unfortunately, they must face 25-mile winds, and high seas. Lure position is critical. Attacking attacking fish holding areas in big surf and heavy winds is not the pros choice. Professional anglers have dreamed about a bait with the ability to cover water faster than their competition. They dreamed of a lure that carried a more natu-ral profile than lipless mainstays. Imagine a lipless lure that professional anglers can fish deeper than 15 feet. That is impressive but what if you could reach 15-foot zone faster than the competition. What if you could truly retrieve your lure faster? What if you could cast it further and more accurate especially in challenging conditions like wind? Welcome to G-Fix. The advanced design coupled with G-Fix performance tuning provides the lure a fluid resistance allowing the angler a repertoire of retrieves. The unique actions allows for the lure to be engaged effortlessly. Drop your rod tip and this lure darts to the lake bottom but lift it and be quickly regains balance begins its tracing. Tough Bite? School’s In Session!

This group of shad means, “school is in session”. If you’re looking for a deadly finesse rip-bait able to cover several depth columns, you’ve found it in this Shad trio. Welcome to Realis Shad SR, MR and DR series.

The SR is the noted shallow runner, utilized during those bluebird, calm water conditions. Taking the very small bait and strolling the tops of shallow grass, reap huge dividends. The mid-depth Shad 59MR known as the “mid runner”, is slightly over 2 inches in length and was designed to give an angler a gradual transition in depth when small baitfish move off the bank and to the first drop. At 2.4 inches, the Shad 62DR or “deep runner” is considered the depth probe of the series. It readily reaches suspending depths of 8-plus-feet. The body profile is basically the same within all models. This shad series is truly finesse fishing at its best. Most petite baits are extremely difficult to manage due to their weight and profile. The Realis Shad 59 and 62 are balanced, specifically weighted for better casting. Famed lure designer, Mr. Adachi exemplified his understanding of trajectory in the body of Shad 59 and 62 (less resistant to air and water). An elaborate weight transfer system utilizing magnets to seat the ballast has been installed into the Shad’s cavity. Realis’ Shad 59 and 62 can be fished aggressively. It is truly one of the smallest ripbaits designed for tough bites. The swim-motion of the Shad is aerody-namic and tight. The lure doesn’t surge, drift or hunt. It looks like a tiny minnow fleeing, better than the real thing!

An extremely balanced lure, the roll action gives off a compressed shimmer and flash when ripped. The pitch angle is set by the elaborate ballast system and works to stop when pausing a retrieve. There’s no surging or drifting. The ultra finesse Shad 59 and 62 purposely have no sway or heave action. A completely balanced bait that can actually be used as a crankbait and jerkbait in the same retrieve. No matter how wary the fish, the Realis Shad will still travel well over 85 feet in a single cast putting you in reach of your target. Tough tournament? Tough bite? Look at regaining your advantage. For the ultimate in finesse application, invest in the ultimate shad school. Realis Shad 59SR, MR and Shad 62DR will cover you shallow or deep.

Nippon Quality touches all four corners of the globe.

DUO’s philosophy of quality, innovation and superior application in bait function continues today. It is the reason why professionals worldwide continue to desire this level of quality and precision.

DUO’s research and design is extensive, costly and can exceed five times the man hours to produce, but the results are impeccable and lasting. Our testing does not stop there - finalizing prototypes may take an additional hundred hours of proofing.

It is perfection in lure function and action that we demand.

Our testing grounds are global - from the rigorous oceanic battlegrounds of giant fish to the angling precision arenas of the B.A.S.S. Elite Tour, our lures are proven before they reach the market.

Our creations continue to surprise, appease and resonate with the most discriminative angler and we intend to keep it that way.
