conclusionAs all components of the magnetic data were not changed at the Off Tokachi earthquake, the trend change was not generated by the earthquake.

Piezo effect of the rock in the crust was not the cause of this change, as there was no change at the occurrence of the earthquake.

As these changes were found at the time when large inter-plate earthquakes occurred along the south Kuril trench and the north Japan trench, it was suspected that the change of the plate motion generated the decrease of magnetized rock in the subducted plate.

 世界 100 ヵ所以上の地磁気観測所で得られた 40 年以上の地磁気データを用いて、地磁気の時間変動がわずか 1 ~2 年で急激に変化する「地磁気ジャーク」現象を解析し、スーパープリュームと呼ばれるマントル上昇流の存在が地震波トモグラフィの研究から予想されている南アフリカや南太平洋域では、他の地域に比べてジャーク現象が遅れて現れ、かつジャークの継続時間が長いことを見いだした。ジャークは現在では地球外核内の流体運動に起因するとされ、この研究結果は比較的高温のマントル上昇域の最下層で電気伝導度が大きくなっているために、そこを通過してくる磁場変動が他の地域と比べて遅延時間と緩和時間が長くなっていると考えると説明ができる。このようなマントル最下層における大規模な電気伝導度構造が横方向に不均一性を持つことを、観測的に見いだすことに成功した。

まとめ女満別で見られた磁力H成分の変化は、地震時には変化していないので、地震による変化ではない。

ピエゾ効果による地殻の磁性変化と考えるには、地震時の変化が無いので、否定される。

千島海溝南部沿いで起きたプレート境界の大地震を契機にトレンドだけが変化しているので、太平洋プレートの運動速度に変化し、帯磁しているプレートの消磁する速度が変化したと考えることが出来る。
