Report of Jogja Visit (May 13-15, 2016) The team from Kobe University led by Professor Noriaki Emoto visits Faculty Yogyakarta from May 13 until May 15, 2016. Kobe University team members are Professor Noriaki Emoto, Dr. Kazuhiko Nakayama, Dr. Koji Ikeda dan Yoko Suzuki. They came to Yogyakarta as part of collaborative research project with Faculty of Medicine Universitas Gadjah Mada. The visit coincided with the yearly event of Jogja Cardiology Update 2016, which is a regional meeting of cardiology held in Royal Ambarukmo Hotel, Yogyakarta. The team of Faculty of Medicine UGM, led by Dr. Lucia Krisdinarti, specifically invited Kobe University team to participate in the meeting as speakers together with speakers from Indonesia. In the first day, May 13 , Prof. Noriaki Emoto gave plenary session lecture in the topic of “Burden of Congenital Heart Disease in Developed Country versus Developing Country”. In this session, Prof. Emoto emphasized the important role of mass screening of CHD and Indonesia is in the need of the screening. In the symposium I with the topic of Pulmonary Hypertension, Dr. Nakayama gave lecture about “An Update on The Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension” . In this session, Dr. Krisdinarti also gave a talk about “Challenges in Managing Pulmonary Hypertension”. At night, the faculty dinner with the research group and staff of Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine FM UGM was held in Kopi O Resto, one of the most favourite cafe resto in down town of Yogyakarta.

Inthesecondday,May14,2016ProfessorNoriakiEmotoandteamattendtheJogjaCardiologyUpdate2016.Dr.KojiIkedagavealectureabout“EmergingRoleofAdiposeTissueAngiogenesisinObesityandMetabolicSyndrome”.Duringthesecondday,Dr.KojiIkedaandMs.YokoSuzukivisitedBorobudurTemple,thelargestBudhisTempleinMagelangRegency,northernpartofYogyakarta.InSaturdaynight,aftertheclosingceremonyofJogjaCardiologyUpdate,theresearchteamflewtoDenpasar,BalitocontinuetheprojectmeetinginBali.TheUGMteamconsistedofDr.LuciaKrisdinarti,Dr.DyahWulahAnggrahini,Dr.AnggoroBudiHartopoandDr.MuhammadGahanSatwiko.TheystayedinVillaLumbungHotel,SeminyakBali.

Inthethirdday,May15,2016theprojectmeetingwasheld.Inthemeeting,thediscussionismainlyabouttheachievementofrecentresearchprojectandthenextfutureresearchaboutestablishingASD-PHscreeningprojectinJogjakartaadoptingtheJapanscreeningsystemandpotentialcolaboratorfromothercountry.IntheprojectmeetingalsodiscussabouttheinstitutionalcolaborationbetweenKobePharmaceuticalUniversitydanUGM,materialtransferagreementandthegrantfornextresearch.SincethisisthefinalyearofJSPS-DGHEReserachColaborationThreeYearScheme,otherfuturegrantisnecessarytosustainthecolaboration.Intheafternoon,theteamwaswelcomedbyoneofASDpatientlivinginBali.HewasgratefulbecausecurrentybeentakencarebyDr.LuciaKrisdinartiinSardjitoHospital.Theteamhadalunchinhishomelocatednearthehotel.ThefamilyofASDpatientwasveryhappytohavetheteaminBali.Inthenight,theteamparted,Prof.NoriakiEmotoandmembersflewtoOsaka,JapanandDr.LuciaKrisdinartiflewbacktoYogyakarta.
