A RESOLUTION COMMENDING JAMAICA B. LANG-AY WHO EXCELLED DURING THE 2014 ABRA PROVINCIAL SPORTS MEET AND IN THE 2014 CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (CARAA) SPORTS MEET HELD AT LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET ON FEBRUARY 7-11, 2014

WHEREAS, a local young athlete brought pride and honor to this humble town by winning various events in the recently concluded 2014 Abra Provincial Sports Meet, her performance therein earned her the chance to represent the Province of Abra in the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) Sports Meet that was held at La Trinidad, Benguet last February 7-11, 2014;

WHEREAS, in the 2014 Provincial Sports Meet, Ms. Jamaica B. Lang-ay took the Gold Medal in the Hurdles event, and settled for Silver Medal in the 400 Meter Dash and 4X4 Running Relay;

WHEREAS, in the recently concluded 2014 CARAA Sports Meet, Ms. Jamaica B. Lang-ay, is a Bronze Medalist for the Hurdle and 400 Meter Dash;

WHEREAS, she brought prominence and recognition not only to herself but

also to the Municipality of Boliney, Abra; her feat is a source of pride and accomplishment for this town and its people, as such giving her official recognition is due and laudable;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Hernand B. Lumawig, with the unanimous accord of the members of the Sangguniang Bayan present, BE IT;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan in session assembled, to commend JAMAICA B. LANG-AY who excelled during the 2014 Abra Provincial Sports Meet and in the 2014 CARAA Sports Meet

RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish copies of this resolution and present a Certificate of Commendation to MS. JAMAICA B. LANG-AY to show our sincere appreciation of the honor she brought this humble town.
